Could anyone tell me what vocal effects they used for Johan's studio vocals on Epicus? Because his live vocals are different and wondered why he doesn't sound like that anymore?
I honestly think they layered the hell out of it, put a lot of reverb and chorus, and pitch shifted it, I did this to a demo he recorded after and I got something that sounded pretty similar.

I remember seeing bewitched for the 1st time. I thought it was the dumbest video ever. I couldnt take any of it seriously. Music was too slow for me at the time too. But now looking back, i kinda get the music and definitely see the charm of it all finally.
I like their classic albums a lot, but I also like 13th Sun a lot. The Vocals from 13th Sun sound like Christian Linderson from Count Raven and St Vitus.
The reason i like instrumentals is because it lets me use my imagination, while with lyrics your imagination is guided by what they describe, thats ust me haha. just the other day i sat trough The forest seasons instrumental album, little 420 :D

I honestly think that they're one of the most epic metal band of all time though, so if there are enough people who likes it, I guess no one cares if the band thinks they're music is bad. My favorite band is opeth so obviously every band with the gothic and depressing aesthetic and themes is pure poetry to me.

Lowe was the best by far. I could give a flying shit if he had to read the lyrics. I'm fairly pleased with Johan being back although he sounds different from one day to the next, he sounded great on The Door To Doom but he sounds just meh live.
Messiah is a true power house but I hate his live stuff. Too much yeah yeah whatever he yells between verses. Been into candlemass since 86. Heard gallows end on metal compilation cassette. Every year till 90 was awesome stuff. Ancient Dreams was probably my least favorite as a whole out of the 4 classic albums. Darkness in paradise is a monster track. Chapter 6 was awesome too but after that it got stale. They have come full circle as of to date🤘
