Actually I do want a “luxury vehicle that can move over dirt quick”.
Still love my first gen Raptor SCrew!
Ford can make a 6.2L V8 Ecoboost that would sound amazing or it can be supercharged
That would be the opposite of eco... Just call it the boost lmao
😁Gen 2 S-Cab
520hp to the wheels on E85
Its unbelievably fast!!
0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds 🏁
I need to tune mine... these things can be ridiculous quick.
@@teddywetts Half the Gen2 Raptor owners has no clue bro, a tuned twin turbo V6 EcoBoost on E85 is ridiculously fast!! And this is a fairly conservative tune lol
Love my 19 scab 😁
You pay $80,000 for a truck it better damn look like a luxury car interior!!!!! This guy is nuts!!!
Iam so agree with the opinion about both engines.
It needs more scoops, more flags, more decals, bigger tires, bigger wheels, bigger bumpers, bigger engine, bigger pipes.
I'm sure we'll see some great builds once these hit the streets
I like V8s but they remind me of someone that's all bark and no bite or just essentially a loudmouth. Once the Raptor R comes out I'll make my decision on whether or not if I will buy it or not.
They did not just change the spare wheel back end to store a 37 inch tire. The front suspension has some major changes to accomodate the 37 inch tires . Hence the 37 inch or 35 inch truck option.
Man that would be soooo cool if they came out with a more bare bones entry level raptor
Still love my 6.2SE supercab
Love this 3rd generation! The styling has some gen 1 touches, but looks super awesome. I was really hoping that they would've added that hybrid option though to help fill power gaps while shifting.
I was thinking they would do v6 with hybrid. But I guess not. If the Raptor R is their "high performance" version, I would like to see if they try and get a v8 WITH a hybrid. Cause I would assume the gas milage would be terrible and could get a boost. I doubt it, but imagine a v8 with a hybrid. Sheesh.
True, the Powerboost hybrid option would have been wild on this truck. Next gen maybe?
@@NoahStage3 highly likely. Cause I would assume mpg regulations are gonna go up and Ford prolly wants to market a hybrid off-roader
very well made
Im an Original 1st gen owner(116k)... By far, i think ford out did themselves on 3rd gen.... Im waiting for the Raptor R to be intorduced to line up... And i will say this... I do agree, with alll the electronics involved, could get hairy with no warranty... I did get the exteneded warranty at purchase, and have bought the extended warranty 2 more times now... If you are going to spend the $$$$$ on a Raptor, and going to keep it...Just spend the $$$$ on the extended warranty.... You will NEVER have to worry with the 3rd gen electronics or ANYTHING else.... Ford extended warranty as been a GREAT security blanket for me...
This^
Buying any warranty is a waste of Mooney
@@ndm8447 NOT TRUE SIR
@@ndm8447 Warrenty on a Raptor is like health insurance for a MMA fighter
I much prefer the look of the gen2 front end
It looks like a gen 1 and I like it
I like the looks of the 2020 better.
Still kinda mad at Ford that they did not give us the Atlas in 2015.
What an awesome looking truck that is.
I want an exiting looking truck.
Not boring.
Towing and hauling numbers both improved with coils , ford no fool. I will be ordering the orange, best looking truck in market. 👍
I saw those numbers too. It was a good call from Ford for sure.
Leafs will never ride as good as coils.
Actually if I had this,I would use it for everything.....work,etc....
Styling is much more mature. If I get this it’ll be without the stickers. Too sophomoric
I agree, the bed graphic is a little much. The truck has a good presence on its own.
Since Ford spent the money to develop the coil rear I’d be surprised if they didn’t offer it as an option on other F150’s for the superior ride, not everyone cares about max towing and hauling numbers... I could totally see them offering the coil rear on the higher trim levels. Heck, Ram not only puts coils under the rear of all of their 1500’s, they also put ‘em under the rear of all of their 2500’s, too.
No super cab option for gen3, I‘ll keep my 2nd gen. That v6 might not sound the best but it does have good power.
I’ll wait for the r ain’t it a 5.2 v8 or are they gonna put the 6.8 in it Idk which engine are they gonna have anyway cause the 6.8 will be in the mustang is it true
And haters still wonder why Ford sells more trucks than Ram or Chevy. They are just better trucks.
🤘
I like just about everything about it except for the blue suede seats. What's up with that? I have large dogs and that will trap every fiber of hair in the cabin. I hope I can get the 37s with all black leather seats.
Love the new Gen! Wish they would offer a black interior with the 37" Package
Agreed. My 2014 gen1 is black on black and was hard to find one without the blue or red interior. I just dont like to be forced into blue with orange stitching or whatever. Just give me black so I dont get sick of it over time.
600 hp 625 tq
Are these even available yet? I haven’t seen one
These are not available yet, but soon!
Oh I will have a Raptor R
Raptor over TRX. ESP with the new Raptor R
Agreed. Looking forward to the R
I want an XLT 5.0 V8 Raptor starting for $45k. Currently own a 2016 Lariat V8 4x4
With that you don’t get the beefy frame that’s comes with the raptor.. you’ll end up bending and twisting that thing
Is it going to have a $100k price tag like the TXR.
I think it’s gonna be 60,000$ with the regular package.
@@guilibaldosaucedo5193 the 6 cylinder is like 70 starting
Ford does offer a stripped down bare bones raptor for around 55k. Nobody buys them though cause they all want the fancy stuff.
Paid 53k for my 19 raptor new.
Everyone used to complain about rams rear coil springs ! Lol. Now ford chooses to use them !
🧢. Ford made it right.
5-link rear with 15” of travel, a significantly lighter vehicle, & adequate OEM IBP 3.1” shocks. #IYKYK
@Jacob Del Bene Show us proof stating the TRX has a “stronger frame” than a 2017-2020 Raptor LOL.
It also has EQUAL suspension travel than the now 4 year old Gen2 Raptor.
The TRX has 3/10” (less that 1/3” or the height of a water bottle cap) more ground clearance 😂😂.
All of that is immediately negated by the TRX’s significantly heavier curb weight (1,000lbs).
Real world #’s vs Google #’s.
#IYKYK
@Jacob Del Bene
😂😂 Unfortunately for your odd brochure arguments HP/TQ do not increase off-road capabilities or make up for the TRX’s shortcomings off-road.
The TRX hit the mark as a muscle truck, but clearly falls behind as a baja competitor.
Honestly sick of all the v8 talk. Just classic internet complaining from non-prosective buyers in the first place. v6 is better in every way unless you want to supercharge it, in which case, money isnt an option and wait for the R.
I agree. Tired of the “it’s not a V-8” comments. The HO Eco-boost is a monster and more than enough for me. For me, The big news on this 3rd gen is the suspension. That rear end will vastly improve its capabilities, IMO.
Hopefully the gen2 raptor prices drop when these get released
Just traded mine in, for what I paid for it 2 years ago lol. They’re up right now!
Raptor re-sale value is crazy right now, but I'm with you on hoping for the gen 2 to be a little more accessible
Overall there's a lot to like about the Gen 3 and I love all the new upgrades... but if I had a choice I'd still go with a Gen 2.
The truth is i have had 4 raptors most custom.I have a trx on the way. Both truck are bad ass and get the job done.
No more 2-Door Raptors 😒
Interior is a 10. Exterior is a 8.5. Gen 2 the interior was a 9. Exterior was a 10.
You’ll probably start liking the new raptor more than the 2nd generation. I mean think about the new generations of the other vehicles you might of thought oh this new generation car sucks, but then after you start liking it more
Why does no one mention precision when speaking about power? V6 has a huge advantage when off-roading over a v8. Do you know the amount of weight of the v8 and what it does to a baja truck? It will lean too much into corners because of front end weight. You absolutely do not want that in an off-road truck.
These wannabes talk about V8s because all they do is pretend they’re in a sports car. Completely missing the point.
And I’m speaking about you TRX wannabes
Amen, they only talk about V8 because they think bigger is better and the sound, like the sound, is what makes the truck be powerful, don't get me wrong I love v8 sound especially on the mustang GT that Coyote sound amazing but look at the Ford GT, V6 and make better numbers than the v8 version...best example the F150 V6 is killing V8 trucks like the Silverado and the Ram 1500

I had a gen 2 raptor, loved it. This one seems rushed. In isolation, it’s fine, however knowing the TRX exists makes it look silly with the V6. Waiting for V8.
Gen 2 looks 10x better.
You’ll probably start liking the new raptor more than the 2nd generation. I mean think about the new generations of the other vehicles you might of thought oh this new generation car sucks, but then after you start liking it more
V6 lots of HP, lighter more nimble than the V8...Ford did there homework on the Gen 3...added several things the public wanted and were asking for...suspension, sound, and many extras...Best looking pickup on the market...once they offer the Raptor R, they will cover all areas for the public. Fiat just another extension of Dodge 40 years ago mentality..toss a big V8 in a rattle bucket and think they have advanced...again, they be playing catch up.....currently own a 2014 Raptor SE...love the V8 and always will, but what Ford has done with this Raptor, not sure i can wait for the R model. Great Job Ford!!!!
lost me at v6
Ok boomer lol
No v8? Don’t waste my time.
No V8?....waste my time....👍
Don’t worry there making a raptor r with a V8. And it’s faster than the trx
The front end looks weak and not like a raptor should. They need to do more work.
You’ll probably start liking the new raptor more than the 2nd generation. I mean think about the new generations of the other vehicles you might of thought oh this new generation car sucks, but then after you start liking it more. Once you see it in person I think you’ll love it
fartin v6 still? uneffing believable
Why would anyone spend close to 80K on a domestic truck with poor reliability, bad resale value etc, etc,.I would buy a 60K Tundra TRD Pro and save the rest of the money. With a TRD Pro, you will get the most reliable truck in the market, a bullet proof 5.7L V8 motor and excellent resale value. Plus that beautiful sound from the TRD exhaust. Even thought it's an old platform, it still works. The more tech in the newer trucks, the more they break and need to spent more time getting fixed. 99.9% of Raptor & TRX owners are not going to be jumping their trucks or doing any kind of off-roading. They will however win in the "Bragging" rights department. I don't need 600 to 700 HP to go grocery shopping. To each their own!!
This^
Like you said, to each their own. I do agree adding more and more electronics suck, but that's just the direction EVERYTHING is heading. All models are adding more and more technology with all manufactures. A lot of people would even say the same about a TRD Pro truck for 60k though. It's overkill, not needed etc. But it's what you like and want. Same logic with a raptor. Some people just have money to spend and don't care. They want what they want. The problem is when you can't afford it and get jealous people(not saying you're jealous, im just generally speaking on typical people hate on how others spend their money that doesnt concern them) Don't really agree with resale though. Raptors hold their value very well.. 2018 raptors with 70k+ miles are still going for 50-55k and near top trims sold for 70kish. Get a raptor under 30k miles, you'll be spending 60k. Heck, even 2013 raptors are selling for 30k range with 120k+ miles.
Raptors hold there value, I know first hand so you are just talking crap. If you like Toyota buy Toyota that's your choice.
Why buy a 60K Tundra, when you can buy a 2008 Tundra that's exactly the same. 😂
Such a Boomer comment. Obviously the Tundra doesn't compete with the Raptor, just a regular F150.
