    Finally a video about this. A possible tip to distinguish between a To Infinitive and a To Preposition is adding "something" to the sentence. It is works, it is a To Preposition; if it doesn't, it is the other one. Example: He is not used to being interviewed (He is not used to "something") or The company is committed to "something". The "something" is the object of the preposition
    and it is expressed with a noun, in this case, a gerund.

    Basically, "TO" is also a preposition, it comes with (after) some words to create a collocation. As a preposition, it requires a noun behind. So if you cannot find an actual noun in your context, but rather, an action - a VERB, you need to change it into a noun by adding "ing" behind. And there you go, a GERUND.
    The only way to remember this case is... to remember. Learn by heart. Through practice, you will get used to it.

    I have a stupid question but here it goes...
    What if the verb doesn't acpept ing form, like: want, need, know.... Etc.. For example :
    "I'm looking forward to needing a doctor"
