Pizzacam's Restoration at Richmond VA CEC

- For many years, since first installed in 1992, Pizzacam had been slowly falling apart to where you can barely recognize him.
This became a good oppotunity to show that no matter how old the show is, you can always breathe new life in them.
A group of good friends helped out to bring life back into Pizzacam and gave him a nice facelift.
You can see Pizzacam at Midlothian Turnpike's CEC in Richmond VA.
Poor guy. The material used for his mask just didn't hold up-- I'm glad you fixed him up though! It's great seeing an actual good looking pizza cam!

@@irmaaherrera1073 an actual pizza cam wouldn't fly well with parents. Especially if it was on stage or going around taking pictures of people's food especially without permission.

If the prop was so far gone, why was it kept in operation instead of being removed? Imagine what would have happened if the mechanism to lift it out of it's pen suddenly began working again, or a kid climbed up and looked inside?
It's good that they fixed it, but the management at that CEC is very questionable.

@Brennan Wahler My location (Roanoke VA) still has the Pizza Cam, although I don't think I've ever seen him get up. I'm going there in February, so I'll see how he's holding up.
@Brennan Wahler sorry but Willington NC closedin October 2020 and Madison TN is getting 2.0 in June or July 2021 so that means they are only 4 pizza cans left.

We're glad we have people like to to fix up these animatronics when the stores staff won't!
-Lucas And Friends ENTERTAINMENT- it broke in December, they gave him back the mask & shell and got rid of him because they didn’t want to pay to fix him.
They couldn't repair pizzacam, his face mold is lost

FYI, I forgot to add smooth transition of the audio. It may be loud when video starts between pictures. Second Update: Pizzacam had been removed from the location and cosmetics had been returned back to me.

I can't build up subs I did see that Earl, it's not a bad price... but I wished it used original fur material. I'm sure there's one out there that's original waiting to be discovered.

I never knew the Midlothian location (formerly) had a PizzaCam! I've actually been visiting this store on a daily basis when I was way younger and didn't realize this until now. I've also got a few links showing what its interior looked like during the past decade which, in fact, have a couple links for if you're interested.
I notice that the Pizzacam still has the neck spring from when it was Looney Bird.

@@ihavenowleftyoutube Yeah, Looney Bird was retrofitted into Pizzacam during Concept Unification. Pizzacam is using the same mech as Looney Bird with the only mechanical change being the clevis of the jaw lever cylinder and the disabling of the hand mechanism.

I forgot to get back to this for 4-5 months when I realized that there are no more pizzacam animatronics (for now?) also a survey was sent by cec entertainment themselves,
Including which retro stores should we put next. I hope pineville can be saved, and Billings too and Tallahassee but that probably won’t happen (I think?) if Billings is saved, let’s hope that they can bring the pizzacam back because I have never seen one in person. I hope the same thing goes to pineville.

It was actually installed around 1991 considering that was the time concept unification was effecting Showbiz Pizza Place locations.

It's a animatronic from the Chuck E Cheese 3 stage. It was formerly Looney Bird, but when all the Rock Afire Explosions in every Showbiz Pizza Place got retrofitted into the Chuck E Cheese 3 stage, they chose to turn Looney Bird into Pizzacam.

Ahoyhoy There, Fellow UA-camrino! I have some old Toy Robots and Animatronics that are falling apart from the 1950s. They are so creepy, but I love them all! I have a Yonezawa Milk Drinking Litho Dog i call Ilk because the M on the milk cup he is holding was scratched off. I also have a One eyed 1950s walking Peter Pup who's Mohair was peeling back in the eye that was missing. I named him Piranha.
