Technically it's canon he's Bi. All options are based off of the characters thoughts and you just choose which of the characters thoughts are best and should come to light. The choice wouldn't be there if the character didn't have it in the back of their head.
I want to clarify that there are 2 separate types of choice based games. 1 - Your character is completely built by you. Your choices effect relationships but dont often effect the ending of a story and are based off of what you wanna do. Think Dragon Age and Fallout. 2 - Games where your character is already an established character within there universe. Your choices effect relationships and the story ending and are based off of the character's thoughts. Think Until Dawn and Detroit: Become Human. All Life is Strange games fit 2 more than 1 thus making every choice completely within character and meaning they could've done that as well. Sorry for my wall of text but Im VERY passionate about "make your choice" stuff and I'm glad it's steadily getting more popularity.

I prefer Finn with Sean 100% Their relationship didn't become cemented through sex. It's just pure... Emotional love. That's why, as bad as it sounds, I liked the ending where Daniel chooses to get arrested while Sean reluctantly passes through the border.

Can I just say how important it is that we have Sean as representation for bisexuals. Like, we don't get to see that many serious romantic relationships between two male characters in video games. As a bi gal, I loved that Max, and Clementine were given the options to have relationships with both men and women. Not to mention Ellie from TLoU being a lesbian. Part of it is kinda toxic though. I always figured that since the target audience for these video games are men(even if they play female characters), it plays into the stereotype of same sex female relationships being played for the male gaze. I especially noticed it after seeing people choose Max/Chloe relationship but not pursuing Finn/Sean relationship.
Agreed!! It means so much to me as a queer dude to be able to experience something like this! I think the main reason people aren't pursuing Finn's romance is the fact that you have to agree to committing a crime with him and willingly involve Daniel. And you only find out you can romance him IF you agree to it. Max and Chloe's kiss as well as Cassidy's romance show up without any particular barrier (Unless you treat Cassidy like crap). I definitely feel like it's bullshit that they designed the game/narrative that way. I don't know what their intentions were or what was going on in the meetings but it really feels like Sean's bisexuality is less important than Max's or Chloe's. Both of their games kind of revolved around their relationships with women. But then I remember that this game is about Sean and Daniel and their relationship. And Sean is just discovering this side of himself. I really hope there is another opportunity to explore his sexuality further in episode 5.

Yeah I watched GT live's playthrough and knowing Mat Pat and Steph I knew they weren't gonna choose the bullshit plan (I only wanted to for the #Sinn romance) It's so shitty that you have to agree to use you little brother and endanger everyone to be with Finn. Like damn.
I wish they had done this romance without it being a "condition" of some kind. My main priority was to keep Daniel safe, and because going with the plan went against my morals and Daniel's safety, I had to say no :( but I reaaally wanted them to get together, it was really disappointing. Just once I want a gay romance in a video game without needing to do something I don't want to do. Meanwhile the Cassidy romance goes as far as sex. It's pretty unfair.
100% agreed. I was initially very pissed off. But I've done a lot of thinking about this. I'm not sure sex with Finn would be something Sean would be comfortable with. He only recently came to terms with his bisexuality, right? He hadn't even kissed a boy before. It's frustrating because everything that happened makes sense narrative-wise. It makes sense that Finn wouldn't open himself up romantically to someone who rejected something he really wants to do. But it's quite conspicuous that the only sex scene in all of the Life is Strange games can only happen in the straight romance.

100% about the double standard. The game all but throws Cassidy at you. The most egregious moment of that is when you get the haircut in ep 3 and the camera just focuses on her for a full minute. Some people dont like Finn for what he did but when you see him apologising like this, and actually think about his reasoning, you can see it was all good intentions, just bad decisions. Well I think that Finn did a really messed up thing but I don't think that he didn't care about Sean and Daniel or wanted something bad for them. And I think his apology and love for Sean are completely genuen. He's irresponsible but not a bad person, in my opinion
their relationship defiantly was not healthy. i don’t think finn is inherently a bad person, just someone who has stupid ideas with good intentions. you can tell by his words and his actions that he actually does care about sean and daniel (and the rest of his friends). he’s either not aware he’s manipulative or aware of the extent, or he intended to manipulate, even if it wasn’t malicious. they could potentially be friends at some point if they crossed paths. finn is a bit of a hedonist, but he’s also young and might grow out of it.
They are so cute together. The connection and chemistry in their relationship was goals AF. Really wish they would have gotten together or at least I hope....🤞❤️💕😔

I'm gonna hold out hope! Chloe and Max had a significant ending in the first game. Though, Chloe was much more involved in the story than Finn is. You wanna know what I noticed. Life is strange likes to kill dad's off on here for some reason. First in life is strange Chloe's dad dies from a car crash. Then Sean and Daniel's dad die from getting shot.
Spoiler . . . . . . . In one of the endings, where Daniel stays in the USA and Sean makes it to Mexico. Sean sends photos and letters to Daniel, and it’s proven that Sean and Finn are happy together there. (But if you romance Cassidy, it’s Cassidy who’s with Sean)
Sean is probably THE single most bisexual character I've EVER seen and I love him. Honestly I love LiS 2, I love all life is strange games (and captain spirit, obvi MY SON) but Sean is the most relatable character honestly.
Ya know, I haven’t went the Sean X Finn direction before but I love that the option is there. The best part is that if you get the “Redemption” Ending and you’ve gotten romantically involved with Finn, he’ll be with Sean in the last photograph Daniel looks at and they’re by a beach with coconut beverages which was Finn’s dream if you’ve listened to his story at the fire place. That makes me smile, knowing that if he and Sean got together, he achieved one of his life long dreams. To be at the beautiful beach while drinking from a coconut.

I'm just here to point out that agreeing to his plan didn't really affect the outcome in episode 5. My Daniel was still a good kid and did the right thing.
I am glad that they made Sean bi, HOWEVER it pissed me off how much the game pushed you in Cassidy's direction, because I vibed with her on like a sisterly basis, but the game reall wants you to be with her and gives you so many options to do so. There's nothing wrong with that per se, but to get the kiss with Finn you HAVE to agree with his plan which honestly is dangerous, reckless and low key demented and that bothers me. In LiS one it was more obvious that you could choose between Warren and Chloe. I'm still glad they gave us the option.

Can I just say how important it is that we have Sean as representation for bisexuals. Like, we don't get to see that many serious romantic relationships between two male characters in video games. As a bi gal, I loved that Max, and Clementine were given the options to have relationships with both men and women. Not to mention Ellie from TLoU being a lesbian. Part of it is kinda toxic though. I always figured that since the target audience for these video games are men(even if they play female characters), it plays into the stereotype of same sex female relationships being played for the male gaze. I especially noticed it after seeing people choose Max/Chloe relationship but not pursuing Finn/Sean relationship.

I think the main reason people aren't pursuing Finn's romance is the fact that you have to agree to committing a crime with him and willingly involve Daniel. And you only find out you can romance him IF you agree to it. Max and Chloe's kiss as well as Cassidy's romance show up without any particular barrier (Unless you treat Cassidy like crap).
I definitely feel like it's bullshit that they designed the game/narrative that way. I don't know what their intentions were or what was going on in the meetings but it really feels like Sean's bisexuality is less important than Max's or Chloe's. Both of their games kind of revolved around their relationships with women.
But then I remember that this game is about Sean and Daniel and their relationship. And Sean is just discovering this side of himself. I really hope there is another opportunity to explore his sexuality further in episode 5.

I wish they had done this romance without it being a "condition" of some kind. My main priority was to keep Daniel safe, and because going with the plan went against my morals and Daniel's safety, I had to say no :( but I reaaally wanted them to get together, it was really disappointing. Just once I want a gay romance in a video game without needing to do something I don't want to do. Meanwhile the Cassidy romance goes as far as sex. It's pretty unfair.
100% agreed. I was initially very pissed off. But I've done a lot of thinking about this. I'm not sure sex with Finn would be something Sean would be comfortable with. He only recently came to terms with his bisexuality, right? He hadn't even kissed a boy before. It's frustrating because everything that happened makes sense narrative-wise. It makes sense that Finn wouldn't open himself up romantically to someone who rejected something he really wants to do. But it's quite conspicuous that the only sex scene in all of the Life is Strange games can only happen in the straight romance.
@@ScarletCryptic Oh I fully agree. I didn't mind that Sean and Finn didn't have a sex scene, it's more so the double standard itself that prickles a bit you know? You could tell Cassidy was the "easy" route while with Finn, you had to commit a crime and go against yourself just to be with him. In the end I didn't even get with any of them, my version of Sean decided to go solo haha :D
100% about the double standard. The game all but throws Cassidy at you. The most egregious moment of that is when you get the haircut in ep 3 and the camera just focuses on her for a full minute. Hate that part. Haha and I don't blame you for going solo. Neither one of them are probably great long term partners. But I'm so starved for representation, though, that I can't not get with Finn.

I don't care what other people say, them together is the best love story I've ever seen, and I know technically life is strange 2 isn't a love story but, the first time I saw this moment, I legit sobbed... I sobbed in front of my mom for kinda a long time, about fictional characters... Oops, Yeah that was embarrassing hahaha... But there's just something about them, their love is real, and I've never seen people love each other like that, which I guess kinda makes it sad because I've never seen real people love each other as much as Finn and Sean love each other in a videogame... Damn, I wish they'd at least let you give him a hug goodbye, especially if we aren't seeing him again in episode 5... Well, I guess we'll see. Life is strange got me fucked up again. Sorry for kinda ranting, but I AM HEARTBROKEN OVER FINN YA'LL.

Some people dont like Finn for what he did but when you see him apologising like this, and actually think about his reasoning, you can see it was all good intentions, just bad decisions. He cares, and I think the whole deal with him wanting some of the money too relied on him staying with Sean and Daniel

Well I think that Finn did a really messed up thing but I don't think that he didn't care about Sean and Daniel or wanted something bad for them. And I think his apology and love for Sean are completely genuen. He's irresponsible but not a bad person, in my opinion
their relationship defiantly was not healthy. i don’t think finn is inherently a bad person, just someone who has stupid ideas with good intentions. you can tell by his words and his actions that he actually does care about sean and daniel (and the rest of his friends). he’s either not aware he’s manipulative or aware of the extent, or he intended to manipulate, even if it wasn’t malicious. they could potentially be friends at some point if they crossed paths. finn is a bit of a hedonist, but he’s also young and might grow out of it.

I'm gonna hold out hope! Chloe and Max had a significant ending in the first game. Though, Chloe was much more involved in the story than Finn is. Idk, I'm hoping with all the references to seeing each other again in this episode that it'll actually happen. Finn knows about Mexico so maybe he'll show up there?

The best part is that if you get the “Redemption” Ending and you’ve gotten romantically involved with Finn, he’ll be with Sean in the last photograph Daniel looks at and they’re by a beach with coconut beverages which was Finn’s dream if you’ve listened to his story at the fire place.
That makes me smile, knowing that if he and Sean got together, he achieved one of his life long dreams. To be at the beautiful beach while drinking from a coconut.

I am glad that they made Sean bi, HOWEVER it pissed me off how much the game pushed you in Cassidy's direction, because I vibed with her on like a sisterly basis, but the game reall wants you to be with her and gives you so many options to do so. There's nothing wrong with that per se, but to get the kiss with Finn you HAVE to agree with his plan which honestly is dangerous, reckless and low key demented and that bothers me.
In LiS one it was more obvious that you could choose between Warren and Chloe.
