@@RaphaelleLD haha yes! I was tired last night and saw your video in my recommendations. I clicked by curiosity and couldn’t stop watching it before the end! Michel and Raoul have eyes on all content during production and know all the fine details you describe in the video, but my job doesn’t allow me to keep up with everything so I was happy to discover some details I missed haha.
@@boochiste I'm so glad that you liked the video, you have no idea what it means to me to have you here, thank you so much! also, I made a video about the previous games too if you wanna check it out next time you're bored... 👀
yeah, it's really odd. even the wiki seems to have given up a bit. there's a page on there that lists references for each episode and they just stop halfway through episode 3 🤨
@@lachdownproductionsyt I love all the franchise, but I understand each game can reach different people. I really can't understand someone not liking lis 2 if they have a strong relationship with their siblings, it's such a rich and devastating narrative
@@sabrina-jo6wb I'm mixed on most the other entries though I do recognize that they're shaped by people's individual experiences. And it really is devistating!
The town name "Puerto Lobos" means "Port Wolves" in Spanish, which is probably the reason why the brothers are often talking about wolves. I think every Spanish-speaking person has noticed this, so I am probably not the first one to point this out. Just thought it was interesting to mention, if anyone in the comment section didn't know 😉
Hey thank you, I just watched my son finish the game since it's been years since I best it, and me and him didn't know what lobos meant. I knew Puerto because of an old memory of what Puerto Rico meant, but not lobos and I was to lazy to Google it lol. I'll tell him tmrw :)
I can't bring myself to choose any other ending than blood brothers. I feel like there was no point to this whole traumatic experience if they couldn't end up being together.
My first playthrough I got blood brothers, but after watching all the endings I gotta say Redemption (with Lyla) broke me. That ending is so sad and melancholy but feels like the most fitting one, tying things back to the grounded reality of the immigrant experience, while blood brothers felt more like that fantasy "happy" ending
I really, truly believe that if Sean and Daniels story came first, before max and Chloe’s story, it would be loved at lot more! It’s such an amazing story and I’ve never loved a game so much (well, this and the last of us part 1 and 2) I think the reason people didn’t give it as much of a chance is because they just wanted more of max and Chloe!
@@RaphaelleLD thank you! Honestly it’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot because I’m in love with this game and I could never understand why it didn’t get as much love as the first instalments! I just couldn’t accept that it was the story itself xD
yeah no the story is so well done, there's so many different places and characters to explore, so many options and endings! so yeah what you said makes total sense!
@@introspectivesteps5433I think there are several different reasons people didn't like lis2 as much as lis/lis:bts that had nothing to do with the story quality. Certainly one of them was that people were expecting to see Max and Chloe again and were disappointed when Sean and Daniel were revealed to be the main characters. Both lis and lis:bts were about Arcadia Bay, Blackwell, and Chloe, so people were expecting that trend to continue. I also think it's why lis:tc did better than lis2 - by the time tc came out people were already expecting it was going to be about different characters, so they weren't as disappointed. Tc also brought back Steph who was a very beloved character from bts. Other than that, the episodic release times also proved pretty disastrous for lis2. While both lis and bts were released per episode, there was a relatively reasonable time between releases. For lis2, people had to wait months and months for the next episode to come out, and most people don't have the attention span to stay excited about a release for that long. Also, when the 1st episode of lis2 was released, there was no confirmation or even hints that the series would continue with its queer themes. It wasn't until ep3 released that Sean could have a queer relationship with Finn, and even that romance path was locked behind a morality choice, meaning many players never got to see it. (Disclaimer: I'm by NO means saying this last reason was the only reason lis2 was unpopular, just saying it was A reason for SOME people): unfortunately, there was some racism and xenophobia against these characters. Nearly all the central characters of lis and bts, Max, Chloe, Rachel, Warren, Kate, Steph, Nathan, Victoria, etc., etc., were all white Americans, and well... Sean and Daniel, the main characters of lis2 were Latino, and their father Esteban was a Mexican immigrant. Police violence, Trumpism, Mexican/Central/South American immigration, and a lot of the political issues lis2 dealt with were very contentious topics at the time it came out (2018/2019). Having the catalyst be an unfair, racially-motivated police shooting and having multiple Trump-supporter characters be so brutal and dehumanizing towards Sean, Daniel, and Lyla right off the bat in the first episode turned a lot of people away. It wasn't until 2020 that the massive Black Lives Matter movement erupted, and it wasn't until 2021 that the Trumpian rioters invaded the Capitol - both events being ones that majorly shifted public opinion, and both happening after the complete release of lis2. I truly believe that if lis2 had been released after these events (maybe some time in 2021 or 2022?) that it would've been received MUCH better. I think it was just too ahead of its time to gain much popularity, sadly.
In my opinion the whole "Life is strange" franchise is highly underrated. But I still think the second part is the most underrated one and deserved at least as much attention as part one and three.
I have a little brother 10 years younger than me and the story hit so hard. Listening to the theme literally takes wind out of me. I saw too much of myself in Sean and my brother in Daniel
Blood Brothers ending seems like the best ending but I prefer the ending where Sean gets what he wants (connecting with his fathers old place in Mexico and connecting with his friends from the Wasteland) while Daniel gets what he wants (growing up with the family he knows and being able to visit Karen). When Daniel is old enough he will be able to visit his brother (assuming his ankle bracelet gets taken off eventually). So much better than living like criminals.
Yea it is THE best one Made me proud when Daniel did what was right. (Though i was so shocked when he left me/sean) They were separated but they got what they deserved (more or less) It didn't bother me much that they were separated cause I was proud of daniel. Those moments I took to really bond with Daniel felt so real lmao. Teaching him to skip stones, the power bear claw machine... The sunsets, hide and seek... All the while learning to always do the right thing with his powers... Man... The circumstances and especially his powers demanded a lot from him. In that ending he grew up the absolute best way he could. :) I actually had only just finished it 4 hours ago
I mean, they still live like criminals. One is exiled, the other is literally on house arrest. I chose the redemption arc because well, they DID commit felonies. If they had given themselves up within the first few days, Daniel would have probably ended up with his grandparents anyway while Sean would have been off in just a few years or avoided jail completely. Social media is not a court of law. It doesn't matter what people posted on the facebook equivalent, there was absolutely no way to link him to the death of the officer. He was unarmed and he really did kill that neighbor guy. It was an accident but a death is still a death, in a court of law he would have gotten convicted, even if it were a light sentence.
This game is so underrated, It has always been under the shadow of the first game and it makes me angry. It's so unique and I love Sean with all my heart. I haven''t played it but I've watched the gameplay and I swear I like it a lot. A friend of mine is a big fan of the franchise and she didn't even give it a chance, I'm trying to convince her to watch it!
@@lucciqs You have to! It's an absolute experience. I had even unententionally read spoilers before playing because I didn't expect to care about it, and it still hit me like a brick to the face lol!
I personally like the whole "Finn is the canon love interest" because in a conversation he describes having a house on the beach and in the parting ways ending Sean gets a house by a beach so it's almost full circle. I actually got Cassidy my first time while trying to get all ending because I didn't want to steal but I changed that really quickly because I wanted Finn to get his dream house P.S Chris can find a comic of his mom and dad trying to have sex for the first time after he's born that his mom drew, it's really funny lol
The worst thing that the company ever did was name this game Life is Strange 2. It absolutely had more potential, but everyone thought it was a sequel! This game deserves to be loved so much more but unfortunately, it’s counter part was too loved…
I love these games so much. The first one was iconic and heart wrenching and has its own special place in my heart, but the second one just hit me in a different way. It felt so much more realistic and I found myself having a real attachment to Daniel that made it so much more emotional at the end. At the time when I played it, I had a job teaching kids music lessons, and one of my favorite students (yes I had favorites, every teacher does) was so damn similar to Daniel, it felt like he was literally in the game. Also I felt that not having the power in your own control was an amazing idea, it made you focus more on how your surroundings and relationships are affected by actions. Also the settings for each episode were perfect to fit the vibe of the story. Idk man I just love the game so much and I don't understand why people give it so much hate.
You bring up SO many good points here. The characters were very beleivable. and both the music and story just blew me away. I think it is such an interesting take to have the MC be the one that DOSEN'T have the power. You never get to see that prospective, and it's SO FRESH!
Out of all of the games in the series, I cried the hardest at this one. This iceberg was great! Thanks for compiling all this info. If you haven't done a True Colours one I'd love to see that!
My mind was blown when I saw Chloe’s picture on David’s fridge. I just thought he was a random dude. With the ponytail and how chill he was I never would have guessed
I loved life is strange 2. When i played each episode they always gave a certain aura and vibe. Each episode was unique and different and I have a special feeling for each episode. I think the story got kinda dull towards the end but it was still an amazing journey. Any story on the road is awesome. I will forever have a special place in my heart for this game
I love the first game to bits and identify with it a lot. But my lord, Sean and Daniel’s story is so incredibly heartwarming and gut-wrenching at the same time. It’s very very underrated.
I already see that this iceberg will be awesome. I also kinda forgot that lis2 wasn't that bad game and that I liked it. I also hope you won't be doing true colors iceberg soon because I so badly want to play dlc but keeping it for the "sad moment" to cheer me up
Honestly, making this video made me fall in love with LiS2 all over again! And don't worry, I won't make a True Colors iceberg just yet, so you have time to play!
37:43 While you're talking about Sean's death foreshadowing, there's some foreshadowing with Snowmancer and Sky Pirate and maybe even the stuffed animal in Jacob's tent that Sean is going to lose his eye. Both beginning with S, Snowmancer (who trained Captain Spirit like Sean trained Daniel) and Sky Pirate (who talked to Captain Spirit on the walkie-talkie like Sean talks to Daniel on the walkie-talkie while wearing an eyepatch in ep5) are two representations of Sean in Captain Spirit. There is a TON of foreshadowing in Captain Spirit in general. I joke that I've found 150% of the intended foreshadowing there.
I know most of these because I play LIS2 constantly for fic writing purposes lol, but a lot of this was informative too. I didn’t know about the Oxenfree radio easter egg, that’s awesome! Also, the voice in the episode 4 trailer is Officer Campbell, the cop who interrogated Sean at the police station. And for one I’d like to add, Daniel’s ankle monitor in Parting Ways connects to the newspaper article “Bus Avoids Lake Tragedy Due To Miracle”. In the Redemption ending, Daniel acts happier and more carefree, because Sean shielded him from consequence and took responsibility for his powers. But in Parting Ways, he accepted responsibility (at least for himself), so he was forced to learn those lessons on his own and likely got seen by someone on the bus. It might also connect to the “Wolf Brothers” tree carving in the Reynolds back yard. In the loading screen, it’s a big wolf chasing a little wolf, but in the carving, it’s the little one chasing the bigger one, so he might’ve tried to run away from home to visit Sean.
I started watching this yesterday and had to pause it and come back to it. The endings to me are far more complex than at surface level. * Blood Brothers for example, the guys realistically have to become what society has spent the entire game accusing them of being. Their dad dies because a cop assumes they are criminals, they get kid napped but the shop owner because he assumes they are criminals. They have to become those things and the game even strongly hints at robbing from gangs to live in Mexico. * Parting Ways Sean has a black glass eye just like in BB and this hints at evil. Which again, is the game just playing into this BS stereotype that is portrayed on them. They go through everything just to never see each other again. And D is on probation even 6 years later for a crime they have no proof he committed. * Lone Wolf - we all know is terrible. D effectively gets punished for refusing to give into the villain of the entire game, racism and his brother dies for it. * Redemption - The worst ending IMO. The ending that says the only way Sean gets a "good" eye is that he goes to prison for FIFTEEEN YEARS for a crime he didn't even do that they have no proof he did (again because he's brown so he had to have done it) and comes out broken. Zero options. He can't vote (current heavy debate in America). He will have very little job options, little housing options. Based on American statistics, he's some kind of addict, and will likely attempt suicide. The American prison system is already for profit and abusive, based off the signs he was in AZ which has some of the MOST abusive prison systems in the country. This ending is just SO terrible. All four endings, the villain of the game actually wins. Whether that means our guys have to become what society says they are, they get punished for fighting society (Sean dies), they get split up and never see each other again, or Sean pays for their hate (prison). I love this game and I love the issues it addresses, but it's just so sad. And, real. This game is America for POC. And I hate that the ending where they get to be together requires them to be selfish, mean and shitty people. There is nothing selfish about wanting to just be left alone and live your life. I want the cannon ending to be Blood Brothers.
thank you for your comment, I think I share your opinion. the only thing I'd say is that I was under the impression that they're just running an auto shop in Blood Brothers, and the gang are the ones trying to rob them? but maybe that's just me being naive haha.
I thought of something else worth mentioning. I forget if it requires freecam or not, but you can see in the Redemption ending that Sean's prison is located in Arizona. Comparing it to photos of the exterior of the infamous Tent City jail in Maricopa County Arizona (run by Sheriff Joe Arpaio), it seems to me to be the same location. This makes the Redemption ending even worse than most people think it is. Dontnod just really wanted to stab players in the heart by having Sean imprisoned in the jail with the worst reputation for care of prisoners in the entire country. Coincidentally, during the time LiS2 was being made, the decision was made IRL to shut down Tent City. But Dontnod probably finished that environment before seeing the news.
oh wow, that's heartbreaking. I always assumed that Sean was imprisoned in Oregon, but the fact that he was in Arizona means that he couldn't see Daniel as often as I thought he did, which is so sad. And of course what you mentioned about their treatment of prisoners is awful too. It explains why Sean seems so broken at the end, when he's crying at Mt Rainier. Thanks for explaining this!
Hey, I think you should do your own iceberg video. I would totally watch it. You seem to know a lot about this game This video just proves how great of a studio Dontnod is and it’s so sad that we will never see anotherLiS game from them. With all these hints, clues and references it just cements what I thought about LiS2, and that is that it’s the best LiS game to date.
@@itza8334 Thanks. I've had so many video plans I never got around to doing. I did post the BB Cape ending, a video of the Collector's Edition art book when I first got it, a couple clips from the motel in ep1, and my terrible voice-reenactment of an old version of the bedtime scene at the Reynolds house tho. I probably won't do an "iceberg" video in general tho. I'll do other stuff. I put some cool theories I had from before ep5 came out in one of my fics on AO3, and someone made a TV Tropes page on it, so that was pretty cool.
Every time I talk to people about the the "Redemption" ending in LiS 2 I feel like they really don't get how bad this ending is. How poorly Sean had it and how poorly he will have it for the rest of his life. American felons have no rights, no job options, no housing options, nothing. And it really just reinforces the racisms of the American legal system. There is no actual evidence of anything. But they are brown, so it had to be them. This is of course, assuming Sean even lives. I had a friend theorize she he takes his own life after the end we see, and that would be not unheard of. it's just such a devastating ending and I don't think people understand that.
Thank you so much for doing this! LiS2 was a really underrated game so it's great seeing it get all this love. Parting ways is most beautiful bittersweet ending IMO and the music hits me in the feels every time
ahhh i was a huge fan of your first video and was super hyped to see an iceberg video for this game! it turned out absolutely awesome and all the effort can be seen so well! thank you so much for this
One more thing. You touched on this topic when saying choices carry over from Captain Spirit, but one "choice" that a lot of people don't realize carries over is your precise score on Mustard Party 2. There's a certain score (I forget what it is, but it's listed on the wiki in the Christmas Market section where it mentions Daniel & Chris's idle dialogue) that if you have a higher score then Chris says his score is higher than Daniel's but with a lower score Chris says his score isn't that high. It's significantly higher than the score needed to get the "high score" in Mustard Party 2 in CS.
It also changes the dialogue between Big Joe and Cass, bc if I recall it correctly if Dan played Mustard Party Big Joe will be angry and Daniel will proudly tell he is on the scoreboard, and Cass will roast BJ for not getting on the scoreboard. And if Daniel didn't play it BJ will be laughing while playing. It's fair to assume that he is winning in that case.
@@tristezaeternal I think you're talking about something different. I'm not talking about whether or not Dan played Mustard Party in Episode 1. I'm talking anout whether or not Chris beat Dan's score in Captain Spirit. Also, there's no reception in the forest & the phone dies before Dan finishes the game anyway, so I don't even think Dan playing Mustard Party in episode 1 influences that dialogue with Big Joe. I don't remember for certain, but I want to say that dialogue is just determined by whether or not you stood up (white knighted) for Cassidy a bit earlier; if you didn't stand up for her, then they have that dialogue. But if you did, then some other dialogue replaces it. Again, I could be wrong here.
10:14 "Beavercreek, Oregon" is also the real-life birthplace of Geocaching, which fits very well with Chris and his treasure map (which also then inspired Daniel's treasure map elsewhere).
wow, you know a lot about this game! also, thank you for uploading that video of the Blood Brothers ending with the cape, I was losing my mind trying to find the footage haha.
@@RaphaelleLD And yeah, I'm definitely one of the most knowledgeable about the game. I made the most progress out of anyone on the formula for whether or not Daniel's powers are considered encouraged in ep2. (Don't trust Sitko's video on that. Their video was made right after ep2 came out and was not entirely accurate.) Someone told me on a Discord server when you posted this video, so that's why I checked it out. But I've mostly been hiding from LiS content recently because I somehow haven't devoted time to finishing LiSTC. Then again, I also had some crazy conspiracy theories that proved wrong. If I throw a million darts, some of them are bound to be bulls-eyes.
18:35 Someone had recreated that Reddit thread on actual Reddit. And while I'm thinking about it, someone made Esteban's pasta recipe on the side of the fridge too.
The "trauma brings on the powers" theory is further solidified by how in the comics, Tristan is able to disappear when his friend Atsuhiko get shot. I love the Life is Strange series and can't wait to see what happens next.
I cried at every endings on life is strange 2 and found it crazy and loved how it showed how a racists cop can change 2 wolf brothers story and life. But life is strange 1 is soo amazing and loved how they still include their story in life is strange 2. Don’t care if anyone hate the games, it’s called life and unfortunately it’s more tragic to view it as a outsider.
This game is really truly amazing, but I feel like it gets overshadowed by the first one and doesn’t receive the love it deserves. This was a great iceberg to watch after playing the game for the first time.
I also have a plastic eye (refuse to call it glass because it makes me feel 70 years old) and I always loved the representation that lis2 gave. my depth perception is also fucked in so many ways but having never been able to see out of my eye (it was removed due to disease) I don't know about it until other people point it out. anyways I would say the change in colour in Sean's prosthetic is due to either it being fitted while he was in prison or him paying for it/choosing in Mexico. I live in the UK so mine was free, but if I wanted more than the one in my face, it would be upwards of like £2000, so I imagine the prison system/government in America is not dropping that on a custom eye. whereas in Mexico I bet he could find people who were willing/able to craft them on the cheap, so he had the freedom to have whatever he wanted. in the clinic I go to, there are pictures on the wall of soldiers who got their coat of arms on their eye when they lost it in battle. I, however, was an anxious 13 year old and just wanted a normal eye lol
thank you so much for your comment, it's so wonderful to have some insight from someone who knows as much as you do! your explanation makes a lot of sense, thank you!
@@RaphaelleLD no worries! I'm glad you covered that part of the game too, I think it's often overlooked but that pen example from the hospital gave me the perfect way to describe my vision to my friends haha. also - love your videos and I look forward to seeing what else you put out!
that's awesome, I was actually wondering how you found that part of the game, but I didn't want to come across as insensitive by asking haha so I'm glad you mentioned it! it's cool that they made it quite realistic! and thank you so much for your kind words, I'm glad to have you here 😊
22:56 I chose for Sean and Cassidy because Sean like Jenn in the beginning and personally gave me straight vibes (though might have been my choices, as I only played once) and also I disliked Finn and saw him as more irresponsible than Cassidy. Also the Cassidy tattoo and lake scene was really fun and cute.
you have such a nice narration voice, it’s just smooth enough to be calming but also expressive enough to not put me to sleep :) looking forward to watching more of your videos!!
one thing i do wanna mention is that the road that Sean and Daniel walk on in episode 1 is actually a real road near Mt. Rainier and Nisqually River named “Paradise Rd” or National park Hwy 706 depending on where you are! There’s also a road sign seen in the game that actually names a couple of real life towns that the highway cuts through! kinda interesting considering most things in the life is strange universe seem to be made up
i’ve replayed all of the life is strange games multiple times… but i’ve only played life is strange 2 once. it’s the most heartbreaking one for me, and i really enjoyed it but i can’t bring myself to feel all that again
This is the first game I’ve played on switch and honestly one of my favorites! Love Sean Diaz and honestly the Blood Brothers ending (which I got) made me cry! It was so good!
6:16 Did you catch that the Playbox is Used and not new (if you Look at it a second time)? Or, even worse, it might just be the old box of the broken console Chris already has, and maybe Chris isn't getting a Playbox for Christmas at all.
This was an excellent viewing experience, thank you! Love LiS2; it's great that it's so full of little connections and easter-eggs, many of which I was not aware of or had not even noticed.
I've never cared for any of the love interest options in the game. Finn was annoying and Cassidy was just whatever. For me, the story is just about Sean and Daniel's bond. The love plots felt forced in.
I loved this iceberg so much!! It's been a long time since I played this game, and your videos rock. I would love to see you break down a True Colors iceberg :)

I always found it frustrating that Finn as a LI can only be seen if Sean decides to put D in danger and try to steal the money. It basically makes Finn a irredeemable character.
@@shreksmistressI don’t get how people even like Finn, I’m gonna sound like a hater but I’m not but I’m pretty sure it’s because he is a bi choice for Sean and that’s why people love it so much, but they just don’t fit at all lmao, if you choose Cassidy it makes way more sense because Sean would never go out with a dude first of all imo just doesn’t fit but he wouldn’t go out with someone who manipulates Daniel and uses him like that
I’ve loved the LIS franchise for years and I’m only just discovering your channel now. I’m stunned you don’t have more views on this video and the first one you made! Your voice is so calming to listen to and you put heaps of effort into this. Absolutely love it queen 💕
Love LIS2 to this day! I remember noticing when I first played through some years ago that Sean’s “This is Fine” drawing is also a reference to a funnt face from Steven Universe. Awesome video!
yes, Ven directed me to your video with the Captain Spirit Cape in the safe, which is why they got the "super special thank you" 😊 thank you for all of your input, I'll most likely use some of your comments for a follow-up video if that's okay!
@@RaphaelleLD Of course. Oh, and another regarding Haven Point. The church there (called the Universal Uprising Church) was also the church that called Chris in Captain Spirit.
SAAME, its such a beautiful indepth story, its just phenomenal, and i’ll be the first one to say that it’s the BEST one out of all games, it just is.. the story is just INCREDIBLE, dont get me wrong i love the others but what they did with Sean and Daniel is just special and its so touching!! LIS2 deserves WAAAY more love and it genuinely bothers me that the majority of the LIS fandom dont even consider it to be apart of the series and completely sh*t on it because it doesnt have their favourite characters present.. its annoying.. people have genuinely one star reviewed it solely because Max or Rachel and even Chloe weren’t present in the game which is so unappreciative.. its unique and special IN ITS OWN WAY, they ALL are.
I finally got to watch this and, just like the LiS 1 video, this is the kind of video I would expect it to have hundreds of thousands of views. I can feel the effort and love you put onto this, and I really appreciate it, I loved LiS 2 despite a lot of people just don't liked it, and seeing this much content about it makes my heart feel warm, thank you
thank you so much, this means a lot to me, I did put a lot of work into this video so it's so nice to know that it paid off! and yes, True Colors content will be coming in the new year 😊
I CANT BELIEVE IT OHHH MY GODDD THIS MADE MY DAY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH SORRY FOR THE CAPS BUT THEY EXPRESS MY EMOTIOOONSS AHHH I AM SENDING LOTS OF LOVE THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK!!
One of my favourite things about this game compare to the LIS 1 is the morality of the characters and how that slightly change their actions. It's difficult to spot some of them unless you watch the game side by side or watch content creators going through them. also compare to all the other LIS game I love the completely different endings rather than just 2 or multiple endings that are quite similar but with different characters instead
I still think the ending were Sean goes to jail is the best Daniel gets to live happy in America and Sean eventually gets to as well plus the reunion at the campsite was nice.and even if Sean committed no crimes I think it makes sense for the story Sean protects Daniel no matter what even take a prison sentence for him.blood brothers doesn’t make sense for how they were raised and how they acted on their journey they arent killers
there's a lot to like but i dont much like the heavy handedness on how the game tackles racism, immigration, homophobia, pretty much anything you think of when you think america bad. also the game slogged episode 1-3, but it gets better in episode 5.
This is such an excellent iceberg, especially with it being your first one. I wanted to point something out that I believe you missed. At the end of ep 5, right before the final choice, Sean is pouring himself out to Daniel and says “The day dad was shot… I think about it every day, and I would give anything to change what happened.” This seems to be a very obvious reference to Max preventing Chloe’s death at the beginning of the first game.
About the episode 4 teaser mystery, it is confirmed the voice was the hospital guard's. When Sean is looking around the hospital room he can comment on the guard and he says he didn't like how he called him a "cop killer"
32:42 I say the differences I see is Daniel's hair(It's in it's episode 1 state for CS) along with Sean's general emotion and height. In captain spirit he has a smile on with a more cheerful wave but in LiS2 his expression is more blank and his wave was more awkward and quicker. I think this was because his anger for Daniel exposing the power. Also in Lis2 Sean is 5'7 and is just a bit taller than Daniel but in CS he seems like more of 6'0 to 5'11 being way more taller than Daniel. Also his face is much more smoother and doesn't have the scars and coloring in his face. Clothing wise Sean has about the same jacket and khakis with out the Blue and white patch on the front. His wolf squad hoodie is also replaced with a brown and tan zip up hoodie. Daniel however aside from his hair looks near identical.
That’s interesting about Sean’s expression. I doubt it was intentional since CS came first, but it fits since Chris would have no idea about the underlying emotions going on there.
back in the forest in episode 1 they also mention The Last Of Us clickers, hinting they've also played the game. on the left side theres a tree with orange fungi
oh that's really cool thank you! I'm glad you like the other stuff, I'm happy to do video game content of course but it's always nice when people enjoy the other random things I talk about haha 🥰
Brody is definitely a Prescott. The thing he stopped near Arcadia Bay cannot be coincidental, especially when he talks about the past and points right onto the city. He must be either Nathan's uncle or his big brother.
I looked so much forward to this video! Great job working on it. Hopefully we can see a video explaining life is strange true colors, No pressure though.
The cough theory makes sense, BUT in the beginning when they're walking to the campsite/Mt.Rainer, Daniel is already coughing (I JUST played that part again last night and he coughed quite a bit). It was a few days since the initial explosion and he hasn't used his powers yet nor do they know he has any powers. I think he had the cough already, the power just drains him and makes him weaker so the cough gets worse because of that.
While they are trying to find the key to Karen's room I heard Daniel coughing once and I did not let him use his powers very much while at the grand parents
Wow this is really cool, I think you did a great job. I saw some interesting things in game but all this is super cool and entertaining. Life is strange 2 is an amazing game, one like me would say it’s an experience. Honestly my favorite in the series!

I love life is strange 2 so much, I don't get why so many people don't talk about it more
yeah, it's really odd. even the wiki seems to have given up a bit. there's a page on there that lists references for each episode and they just stop halfway through episode 3 🤨
The fandom mostly seems to hate this game. Which is a damn shame, I absolutly love it! It's my favorite of the whole series.
The storytelling sucks pretty bad, lack of soundtracks, lame side characters, the list goes on
The town name "Puerto Lobos" means "Port Wolves" in Spanish, which is probably the reason why the brothers are often talking about wolves.
I feel like there was no point to this whole traumatic experience if they couldn't end up being together.
that's how I feel as well!
100% Agree !
I wanted them to stay together SO bad but got parting ways lol. At the end of the day that ending is probably second for me.
Same!!
I really, truly believe that if Sean and Daniels story came first, before max and Chloe’s story, it would be loved at lot more! It’s such an amazing story and I’ve never loved a game so much (well, this and the last of us part 1 and 2) I think the reason people didn’t give it as much of a chance is because they just wanted more of max and Chloe!
that's a really good way to look at it, I think you're right!
Of course. But I love Lis2 now too
@@introspectivesteps5433I think there are several different reasons people didn't like lis2 as much as lis/lis:bts that had nothing to do with the story quality.
This game ruined me emotionally, I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover. Just thinking back on it whenever makes my heart heavy
Like I have a good relationship with my older brother, he reminds me a lot of sean

@@shayanthvimalenthiran2671i finished it finally yesterday and damn, was it devastating

So much better than living like criminals.
that's a good point!
Yea it is THE best one
Made me proud when Daniel did what was right. (Though i was so shocked when he left me/sean)
They were separated but they got what they deserved (more or less)
It didn't bother me much that they were separated cause I was proud of daniel.
I actually had only just finished it 4 hours ago
@@arcadicus_ezevius Plus Sean sending that picture to the grandparents to let them know that he was okay and with Cassidy.

I personally like the whole "Finn is the canon love interest" because in a conversation he describes having a house on the beach and in the parting ways ending Sean gets a house by a beach so it's almost full circle. I actually got Cassidy my first time while trying to get all ending because I didn't want to steal but I changed that really quickly because I wanted Finn to get his dream house
P.S Chris can find a comic of his mom and dad trying to have sex for the first time after he's born that his mom drew, it's really funny lol

I love the first game to bits and identify with it a lot. But my lord, Sean and Daniel’s story is so incredibly heartwarming and gut-wrenching at the same time. It’s very very underrated.

My favorite ending is Blood Brothers for the journey and closure.
Haha it's Nessie!
@@lachdownproductionsyt Omg hi! I saw you too 😂😂
I already see that this iceberg will be awesome.
How do you forget about LIS2?
I never thought of that... But I'm pretty sure the wolf on Sean's hoodie only has one eye as well.
Thank you so much for your comment, you have some really good ideas about the game!
That's a great way to put it! We need more open minded people like you.
I always thought Redemption was a crummy ending.
Hey, I think you should do your own iceberg video. I would totally watch it. You seem to know a lot about this game
This video just proves how great of a studio Dontnod is and it’s so sad that we will never see anotherLiS game from them.
Parting ways is most beautiful bittersweet ending IMO and the music hits me in the feels every time
This whole game really gets you right in the feels!

02:55 also in Away you can overhear daniel telling joan that he thinks she’d love playing minecraft !
If you stand/wait some time near the christmas tree in the Reynold's living room Sean begins to hum a christmas song.
You could call that iceberg item "Daniel's Mustard Party Score"
I’ve replayed LIS 2 SOOO many times and NEVER knew about the sneaking up on Daniel part at 3:44! It’s so adorable, ugh miss them so much.
Honestly, this game really made me a better big brother
I would be too.....if i had one anyway
10:14 "Beavercreek, Oregon" is also the real-life birthplace of Geocaching, which fits very well with Chris and his treasure map (which also then inspired Daniel's treasure map elsewhere).

@@RaphaelleLD Yes, I freaked out when I first saw that during my stream to Twitch. I was saying "The cape is in the safe! The cape is in the safe!"
@@RaphaelleLD And yeah, I'm definitely one of the most knowledgeable about the game. I made the most progress out of anyone on the formula for whether or not Daniel's powers are considered encouraged in ep2. (Don't trust Sitko's video on that. Their video was made right after ep2 came out and was not entirely accurate.)
Someone told me on a Discord server when you posted this video, so that's why I checked it out. But I've mostly been hiding from LiS content recently because I somehow haven't devoted time to finishing LiSTC.
Then again, I also had some crazy conspiracy theories that proved wrong. If I throw a million darts, some of them are bound to be bulls-eyes.
Sounds like you should make your own iceberg lol!

The "trauma brings on the powers" theory is further solidified by how in the comics, Tristan is able to disappear when his friend Atsuhiko get shot.
I love the Life is Strange series and can't wait to see what happens next.
yep that's true!
This was a great iceberg to watch after playing the game for the first time.
omg yes i’ve been so excited for this ever since i saw the original one
yayyy I hope you like it!!

22:56 I chose for Sean and Cassidy because Sean like Jenn in the beginning and personally gave me straight vibes (though might have been my choices, as I only played once) and also I disliked Finn and saw him as more irresponsible than Cassidy. that's such a kind thing to say, thank you so much 😭💕
one thing i do wanna mention is that the road that Sean and Daniel walk on in episode 1 is actually a real road near Mt. Rainier and Nisqually River named “Paradise Rd” or National park Hwy 706 depending on where you are! There’s also a road sign seen in the game that actually names a couple of real life towns that the highway cuts through! kinda interesting considering most things in the life is strange universe seem to be made up

@@reposter6434 Well when you put it that way... I can't accuretly claim it as the best. But I can say it's my fav which in my unimportanmt opinion makes it the best haha :).
@@lachdownproductionsyt it's a very well put together story told game that gives an insight into things like discrimination. I've played many story told games, my favourite before this was Metro, but this game has topped it for me.
I always found it frustrating that Finn as a LI can only be seen if Sean decides to put D in danger and try to steal the money. It basically makes Finn a irredeemable character.
Finn's idea to put a nine year old in danger made him an unforgivable character.
Absolutely agree!
@@lachdownproductionsyt I did not visit him in the hospital 💀
@@shreksmistress I let Meril shoot him.
@@shreksmistressI don’t get how people even like Finn, I’m gonna sound like a hater but I’m not but I’m pretty sure it’s because he is a bi choice for Sean and that’s why people love it so much, but they just don’t fit at all lmao, if you choose Cassidy it makes way more sense because Sean would never go out with a dude first of all imo just doesn’t fit but he wouldn’t go out with someone who manipulates Daniel and uses him like that
I LOVED this game. I just finished it. I don’t understand why people don’t like it
Appreciate your hard work on this. Very well done
It’s crazy that I’ve played all the games multiple times but still didn’t notice some things like this. Thanks for doing all your awesome research!
Yeah, this game is rich with content. Played it like 16 times and still missed stuff.
Yes finnaly LIS 2, can't believe soo many people didn't Ike it
It's a crime honestly!
I’ve loved the LIS franchise for years and I’m only just discovering your channel now. I’m stunned you don’t have more views on this video and the first one you made! Your voice is so calming to listen to and you put heaps of effort into this. Absolutely love it queen 💕
Thank you so so much, this means the absolute world to me ❤️
Love LIS2 to this day! I remember noticing when I first played through some years ago that Sean’s “This is Fine” drawing is also a reference to a funnt face from Steven Universe. Awesome video!
This is great, thank you for taking the time of putting everything together, love it 🤙🏼
I just finished the game for the first time, and honestly I can't get enough of LiS2 content now
Hey! Loved this so much! And thanks for using my suggestion for seans eyes
40:42 Hey, I think that's the ven I know from Twitter. :) Great member of the lis2 community. (Others are great members too!)
yes, Ven directed me to your video with the Captain Spirit Cape in the safe, which is why they got the "super special thank you" 😊 thank you for all of your input, I'll most likely use some of your comments for a follow-up video if that's okay!
LIS2 deserves WAAAY more love and it genuinely bothers me that the majority of the LIS fandom dont even consider it to be apart of the series and completely sh*t on it because it doesnt have their favourite characters present.. its annoying.. people have genuinely one star reviewed it solely because Max or Rachel and even Chloe weren’t present in the game which is so unappreciative.. its unique and special IN ITS OWN WAY, they ALL are.
i love listening to your iceberg explanations!
I'm so glad, thank you 😊
I finally got to watch this and, just like the LiS 1 video, this is the kind of video I would expect it to have hundreds of thousands of views.
I can feel the effort and love you put onto this, and I really appreciate it, I loved LiS 2 despite a lot of people just don't liked it, and seeing this much content about it makes my heart feel warm, thank you
thank you so much, this means a lot to me, I did put a lot of work into this video so it's so nice to know that it paid off! and yes, True Colors content will be coming in the new year 😊
I CANT BELIEVE IT OHHH MY GODDD THIS MADE MY DAY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH SORRY FOR THE CAPS BUT THEY EXPRESS MY EMOTIOOONSS AHHH I AM SENDING LOTS OF LOVE THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORK!!
thank you so much I'm so glad you're happy 😭
One of my favourite things about this game compare to the LIS 1 is the morality of the characters and how that slightly change their actions. It's difficult to spot some of them unless you watch the game side by side or watch content creators going through them. also compare to all the other LIS game I love the completely different endings rather than just 2 or multiple endings that are quite similar but with different characters instead
Really looking forward to your True Colors iceberg!
Woah that oxenfree easteregg gave me chills
me too! it's so unexpected!
i finished this game recently and oh my god the story broke me, it deserves much more love than it gets
Idk man am with u but 15 years man 15!
Me myself i got the partying ways ending
I actually loved this game. Never understood why people hated it so much
there's a lot to like but i dont much like the heavy handedness on how the game tackles racism, immigration, homophobia, pretty much anything you think of when you think america bad. also the game slogged episode 1-3, but it gets better in episode 5.
10:45 your drawing changes depending on whether or not you drank or smoke beforehand.
oooh that's cool!
Great video! Im really glad to know about the existence of the Oxenfree radio easter egg! Its also one of my favorite games
Yay I'm so excited! Thank you for all your hard work
This is such an excellent iceberg, especially with it being your first one. I wanted to point something out that I believe you missed. At the end of ep 5, right before the final choice, Sean is pouring himself out to Daniel and says “The day dad was shot… I think about it every day, and I would give anything to change what happened.”
This seems to be a very obvious reference to Max preventing Chloe’s death at the beginning of the first game.
oooh good shout!! thank you for pointing at out!
26:40 - this is probably also a reference to a Skateboarding game called Ollie Ollie
WHATTTTTT the oxenfree Easter egg is so amazing, love the fact 2 of my favourite games are connected
that was my reaction too!!
Yeah. Thank you very much for this easter egg. I loved the whole video but this one was so cool!
Great Video!!! LIS 2 is one of my favorites games ever ♥
I genuinely did not know joey could help you escape.
me neither, I'll definitely give it a go next time I play!
It says it at the end of the chapter lol, don't you read the sheet of shame?
@@lachdownproductionsyt I haven't played LiS 2 since it came out. So I forgot some stuff.
Gotcha
man the live action thing was so cool, would love to see a full version of it
Came for the Life is Strange 1 Iceberg, and *staying* because you did Life is Strange 2 too. Can’t wait for your Lost Records videos! 🐺🦋
Thank you for making another Ice berg video, I didn't know about MANY of there entries and it made me appreciate LiS 2 even more!
Got bloodbrothers ending, wanted parting ways
this was really well done!, amazing. Will have to replay this and see if i can find some of the references this time around :)
Right, I'm bout to dive into playthrough 17.
About the episode 4 teaser mystery, it is confirmed the voice was the hospital guard's. When Sean is looking around the hospital room he can comment on the guard and he says he didn't like how he called him a "cop killer"
that's really interesting, thank you!!
Absolutely loved this, i was very excited to see this vid in my recommendations and you did such a good job making this iceberg :))
It's incredible!
@@ren-go8zn also kids seeing older people a lot talker than they are
back in the forest in episode 1 they also mention The Last Of Us clickers, hinting they've also played the game. on the left side theres a tree with orange fungi
yep, that's in the video I believe! Sean makes the noise they make 😁
thank you youtube recommendations for recommending this to me so early, somehow knowing I've enjoyed the previous videos
hahaha, the algorithm knows 👀 it's really cool to know that my video got recommended too, thanks for the heads up!
@@RaphaelleLD probably a sign for me to drop a sub, I really enjoyed the videos and I am actually interested the topics of your other content too^^
oh that's really cool thank you!
Hopefully we can see a video explaining life is strange true colors, No pressure though.
there will be one at some point for sure 😊
ahh thank you for this ! love lis2 so excited to get through this video
Same!
this turned out great!! im glad i could help you out, and i even learned a good bit myself lol
yayy I'm so glad you liked it! thank you 💕
The cough theory makes sense, BUT in the beginning when they're walking to the campsite/Mt.Rainer, Daniel is already coughing (I JUST played that part again last night and he coughed quite a bit).
It's my favorite too! You are SO true in saying that it's an experience!
