    As an owner of a stunning 2019 Indian Springfield in steel gray and burgundy metallic, I don't have all these first world problems with Ride Command. 😅 Your custom seat looks perfect. Go Indian, Cruiser Heaven, all day, every day!

      Right on! Thanks for the compliments. I've seen that color scheme before and I absolutely love it. I've always loved the look of the classic Indians. When they work, the electronics on my Challenger can be amazing. But with all the glitches, I had to try something else. I'm hoping this works better. It already has, so far. Also, more importantly, thanks for the subscribe.

    Glad you did this! I bought the same product a couple of weeks ago and have not had a chance to try it out.

      I've had it for a few months now and I am very happy with the results. It's not the most perfect video on connecting it to the bike, but I'm hopeful it helps a little.

    Great video, question i have is, do you have to have the factory navigation system in order to use three autocast?

    Nice seat! I've been using Ottocast for almost 6 months and haven't had any problems. If I'm using my half helmet without the Sena I have a pair of wireless headphones plugged into the 12v charger in the trunk.

      Good to know! If I ever find myself without my Cardo on a continuous basis, I'll give that a try.

    Gorgeous seat.
    Question,
    So you have to have a helmet connected in order to use it each time or only during setup?

    • @ridingwiththewhitleys3715
      @ridingwiththewhitleys3715  3 місяці тому +1

      Thank you. I love our new seat. If you can, I highly recommend Wil Molino to redo yours. You have to have a bluetooth device connected for the Autocast to work. It doesn't necessarily have to be your headset, but since that is the only bluetooth device I have, That's what I have to use every time I ride. It's also fine by me since I need my headset for navigation, phone calls, and music.

    Honestly it's 2024 and not having native android auto is a huge fail by Indian/Polaris. It's cool there's a work around but I can't imagine the frustration with the problems you detailed.

    • @ridingwiththewhitleys3715
      @ridingwiththewhitleys3715  Місяць тому

      Agreed. All I can assume is that Polaris has an excusive contract with Apple to only offer Apple Car Play.

    Jeff, I really dig the channel, great job!
    I have a 2021 Indian Challenger Limited and I have tried to connect the Android Auto with a previous version of the Ottocast. However, when there was a software update on Ride Command this spring it went away, unless I reverted back to an older version of RC.
    Have you updated your RC this year?

    • @ridingwiththewhitleys3715
      @ridingwiththewhitleys3715  10 місяців тому +1

      No. I have not downloaded the latest update to the Ride Command. I've been waiting to see what the feedback was going to be before I did. I don't think I'm going to. It sounds like the new update has too many issues for me to chance it.

      Thanks! It's not perfect, but it does cover the basics. I don't do these types of videos. I just thought it was needed since I wasn't able to find a step-by-step video to guide me. Also, more importantly, thanks for the subscribe.

    Thank you,I have had this unit for a year and watched the 2 videos available and they both missed the wifi part. It sucks having to turn the Wi-Fi on cuz it uses a little more power but it is actually working exactly as it's supposed to be.

      Me too!! It feels better than it looks and it looks fantastic. In my humble opinion, Will Molino's work is worth the money.

    Seat looks great! I’ve had the same issue with it disconnecting at some point on a ride. And I’m using CarPlay. Irritating when using navigation. I connected my Cardo the same as you.

      @ridingwiththewhitleys3715  10 місяців тому

      Thank you for the compliment. The seat doesn't only look good, it feels great. Will Molina did a great job. I'm hoping the disconnecting issue improves. I really don't want to go back to having to rely on the Ride Command.

    Do you still recommend this product for is challenger?

    • @ridingwiththewhitleys3715
      @ridingwiththewhitleys3715  6 місяців тому +1

      That's a tough question to answer. I get intermittent resets with the Autocast. It's not perfect. However, it's better than the Ride Command. With the Ride Command it constantly has an issue with loading the navigation and my phone always disconnects from the ride command where I have to stop and restart my bike to get it connected again. Every time an update happens, it breaks things more than it fixes. With Autocast, I have more options on the screen when it comes to all the apps on my phone. Messages, phone calls, contact lists, music.... all is so much better on the Autocast. BTW, I should have the AZ video up in a couple of days.

    I am going to be getting a new Pursuit in the next couple of months, why do you need the Ottocast? Can you not hook the bike up directly with the Android Auto? Or only Apple Car Play?

    • @williamarrington6415
      @williamarrington6415 7 місяців тому +1

      Only Apple

      The 2021 Indian Challenger does not come with Android Auto. It only has Apple Car Play. I'm not sure about the newer models, but I would bet a year's salary that it's still that way.

    You had the a problem I am currently experiencing, but you did not show the solution. :( Connecting your Packtalk Edge to your Indian Challenger motorcycle. I spin the jog wheel aft and it says it is pairing to the bike (2020 Indian Challenger) but it never pairs.

      I get it. There really isn't a secret to it. All I did was to keep turning off and on the bike and Cardo until they found each other. If I remember right, it took me about 3 or 4 times.

    Does this work with ride command one on 2017 Chieftains

    • @ridingwiththewhitleys3715
      @ridingwiththewhitleys3715  7 місяців тому

      I've never owned the 2017 Chieftan, so I couldn't tell you with absolute certainty/ However, the Challenger uses the same Ride Command that Indian puts on all their bikes, so I would assume so.

    Do you then have to have your helmet with you at all times?

    • @ridingwiththewhitleys3715
      @ridingwiththewhitleys3715  10 місяців тому

      Yes. I do. But I believe I can purchase a blue tooth device that I can keep in my saddlebag to use when I don't have a helmet with my Cardo. Since it's very unlikely I will ever do that, I do think it's necessary at this time.
