Right, it blows my mind that beautiful furniture and stunning estates are left to just rot away into total disrepair. It makes me sad actually. So many people are homeless and a family would give anything they had just to own a home. At least I know I would. I live in New York and we can’t even afford are tiny little apartment because everything has gotten so expensive it’s either feed the kids or pay our rent late. Bummer, and all of these houses sit empty just to rot away 😢
Well this very old, couldve been nobleman or lawyers politician the bk.s, wayup the stairs servant quarters, lived, had to been another stair way, for servants escape but you only showed us main stair, portion this place ?!?! added over yrs bathrooms, but seems lawyer to someone may started studied medicine or pharmacy, so many books well didnt have power no radios minimal lights to way back that kitchen wouldve been b4 addition amazing. Gd see you wearing mask an buy hair dye type gloves clear packs of 50s cheap shops sell, should wear, sad see these abandonment. Gets too much for ppl last live there, no clue to reno, you got find team worker, helpers, carpenters with same passion, for this place good million spare cash to just start reno material, let alone how much buy it the land it sits, but whats beyond to whats possible. Who got gd 3-5 spare yrs. To bring it back to some kind of life. So many books and photos, pity you dont read french and couldve give better idea reckon there lots law books or medic. I only assuming. Someone didnt want leave adding that stair machine its a great sad find. Its been stripped of lots, but heavy cupboards left behind. Even those old beds, were heavy timbers.
That machine with the wheel, is actually used to crush grapes 🍇 for wine 🍷 making. My grandfather had it who then passed it on to our late father. We still have it, along with his manual grapes 🍇 crusher and related wine making tools and machinery.
Hi Dave I'm just watching your video now..loving what you do please don't go from UA-cam,there's so many people that would miss you... Love from Scarlett her 6 dogs and her husband Mark.. Talking about Mark whens he bk...xxx❤
Awesome house…the wallpaper that seems like fabric is called Rice paper…I hung wallpaper for years . The theme where the wallpaper matches the fabric for headboards and curtains is a definite sign of wealth…that’s all custom!
What a beautiful place! I will never understand why no one in the family would want to come and go through all of the pictures and belongings! It is sad how these places are left to rot, lives just being forgotten!
Can you explain who was talking when you went upstairs? You looked out the French doors from the balcony and said "The cows mooing" but didn't mind the chatter going on in the background.
Hello David, Sandy from across the pond in California here. Thank you for sharing this exploration with us. The furniture is absolutely beautiful, and the architecture of the building is stunning. I love seeing old machinery too. You'd never find such artistic craftsmanship in furniture or buildings here in America; sadly. Take care -
Hi Dave, wow what a beautiful old mansion, so much character to it. The wallpaper at 11:16 is called Hessian or Grasscloth. Even those outbuildings were pretty impressive. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 🥰
The room you found up in the "attic" area that looked like children's room with all the toys left was a nursery for young children. This is how old money wealthy people lived. That room and the attic is where the nanny had to keep them in the evening, or whenever the adults were having a party, etc. She also fed them up there and the children had to learn all of the table manners by age 8 before they were allowed to join their parents for the evening meal. The nanny and the children spent a lot of time there. Once the children got up to 8 years old and would not be a "disturbance," they were moved down to the level and given more grown up rooms. The original playroom was kept the same and toys had to remain up there. That is where they went to play, or to return to as adults to relive some good memories. Really, a different time.
What a beauty. I think the machine at the end, around 44:20 is an old mill for grinding wheat to make bread? Such an amazing place. Keep up the great work Dave.
The French love their sleigh beds they are beautiful. I love the kitchen lights and the beautiful staircase and how every photo tells the invisible story of people who once walked our earth.
Been looking forward to this Dave , what beautiful place , it would be amazing to see it all done up ❤a visual feast , thank you for taking us on another incredible adventure Dave ❤️
Once again another amazing house or château, you out do yourself every week. Don’t know what was up with the bdays in the bedrooms. All in all great job Dave ❤❤
This is one of my favorite videos of yours. I love every single room and every single bit of that house. AndI love that you always look closely at the books and I enjoy your thoughts about every item, and life.. Gorgeous gorgeous family pictures, too...wow.
Love your videos,it always makes me sad that these beautiful homes and memories and belongings are just left to die actually, no one to cherish it and keep it alive😢 Thanks for another great video.❤
I watch you on UA-cam on TV all the time but wasn't subscribed. But now I am. I love watching your videos. You all take such care with the abandoned homes. I love watching.
WOW! All those books it's so sad that they are sitting there and decaying away. The kitchen looked pretty much in good shape, but the bedroom were in bad shape. All the beautiful furniture was getting destroyed also. Thank you for taking along for this adventure. Take care and have a great weekend.
Judging from the looks of the mold and decay inside the outside doesn't really look that overgrown. The fireplace /cook place in the kitchen is so cool to see. This house must be so old. So nice to see the old photos with actual dates below them. Very nostalgic vibe. The spinning wheel upstairs is awesome too. Just like in the fairy tale "Sleeping Beauty". Absolutely love hearing the birds chirp. That was a doily upstairs in the moldy bedroom. incredible house with those round window. Great video, Dave. Thank you.
This is a beautiful home for sure. Puts me in mind of actresses and the theatre. Lots of $$$ there between the books, furniture, and the wallpaper matching the bed boards just rotting away. Would love to see this place renovated but probably not in my life time though. Have a great day and safe travels.
Wow what a place! I watch all your video's and have a long time. You are an amazing explorer. This mansion made me feel such sadness because I can't believe anyone could leave all these beautiful family photos and let this beautiful home just fall in such disarray. Love you Dave don't change a thing in your video creation.
Wow this place is truly a time piece. I love how the birds are singin in the background and the doves nature is beautiful .I would love to see this place restored. The cutter blade looks to be doing corn and inside with that wheel they grind the corn down and feed chickens and also cornmeal.. That wheel also came from 1500s to the 1800s. Love your videos Dave and seeing Explomo i got excited yes I am with Explomo from the very start of his Exploring i was 1 of his first person .Now im with you to Dave.Dont change a thing Dave on what i see you do is amazing to watch . Love Barbara NWP, FL USA baby

Thank you for sharing this amazing mansion 👍🏾 My heart hurts every time I see family photos that are left to rot/fade away🥲😥😢 That is real wood throughout the home. Can’t find that nowadays. Was that a picture of the house in its Glory days on the desk? Beautiful lanterns in the kitchen. It’s as if they left for errands to return soon. WOW 😲 Beautiful staircase, wood cabinets and Grandfather clocks 🕰 More precious family photos destroyed 😢 PLEASE save them, I won’t tell. That’s lost history. I’m relieved they took some photos from the walls with them. Beautiful wood floors upstairs on second floor. More what was another beautiful grandfather clock. More family photos 😢😥 Antique spindle? I’m not sure, it belongs in a museum. The view from the terrace and more family photos 😢/family history that will be lost forever 😢😭😭 Photos a a beautiful woman that appears to possibly be a model? Stunning photos. The Books 📚 galore. gentleman in uniform, possible family gathering? Beautiful round window 🪟 on third floor. I try to imagine these homes in their Hay Days with all the Love and Life throughout. Stunning 🤩 Beautiful furniture. Beautiful photo of man holding a child. More photos that should have gone to a relative to pass down through generations. PLEASE take those photos. That’s lost history.
Loved this chateau David, been awhile since you’ve been to one. Beautiful staircase, beautiful furniture, the kitchen and the matching wallpaper, headboards, duvets and walls was wild. The thousands of photos just broke my heart. Thanks for taking us along and as always, stay safe❤
The beautiful trees outside the house but sadly block the light out, they would have to come out. I noticed whoever went upstairs in the stairlift never came down again 😢😢
I really respect the way that you honor the memories of people who have lived in these homes, that they were real people with real lives, memories, joys and sadness. I also like how respectful you are of the contents of these homes as you walk through. Keep up the great work.
I'm obsessed with old photos. There's a market in Birmingham that has a vintage stall and they buy boxes and boxes of photos from house clearances and I could sit there for hours going through them ❤ x

Yes noticed that. What a place i yet to see inside what i find. But sadly they pass, age or get ill so who next, caretakes takeover, make sure can not get into house, put some sheep even goats clear the grounds seasonally goats do amazing had this wild blackberries, no1 would touch this paddock till someone put some goats, no more thorny wild black berries amazing how cleared ,up this large paddock in no time. Great mowers. If know how electrify fencing it is easy but if know how, taught, with solo digital electronics cameras helps saves travel time, now even better helps with stock control.

so much decay and mould in just 10 years. this would have been a gorgeous mansion back in the day. Love these explores, the french had their own unique designs. thanks Dave - I watch all the way through, exvept when you stay looking at old photos... that kinda bores me a little, so i skip that. but love looking at how the bathrooms and bedrooms, kitchen looked back then

I love your videos. This place is great. I've seen others Explore this place They don't take the time like you do .They don't look at things like you do. You open doors you look at stuff and take your time.❤
I've been watching a few these channels and you're my favorite! I wish all you explorers would be sure to reclose all doors and cabinet drawers (so the hinges and wood doesn't warp as fast), and re-roll all scrolls, lay documents and photos flat, etc. I also wish y'all could carry a portable document scanner to scan the old photos etc. Each year passing they are rotting faster.
Explomo was my introduction to watching these videos as there is no way I can get about nevermind exploring abandoned buildings so thanks very much from yet another great video. 😊😊😊 Yes you were right about that grain to flour machine for making bread for the area. 😊😊😊😊😊
Such a beautiful home Can`t believe how many books there were ,Maybe he was a collector or maybe he even sold books to people. Just loved the slay bed wish I had one , what a shame all the family photos left behind. Keep them coming. Take Care and Stay Safe ❤❌
Thankyou dave for another amazing video. I really look forward to your videos. I comment a lot because there is just so much to comment about through the videos. Hope I'm not commenting too much lol xx
Dave, this was a wonderful explore! Houses like this I find are the most interesting, as multiple generations have come and gone. I wonder if German soldiers occupied that house during the war. It looks like someone has come and taken out the choice pieces of furniture. The kitchen was missing the kitchen table. That house was crammed with books! One last thing, check the video where you meet your friend up in the attic. It loops around and is repeated. Other then that, thank you for your dedication and passion you put into every single video.
Just found your channel today. I've been watching your videos all day as I love your commentary and the way you go through the home room by room. Keep up the great work as I subscribed and am excited to see all your videos..Thank you
No one makes furniture as beautiful as the French, the library is stunning so many books left unread.

Another great explorer stay safe Dave xx
I love your videos. This place is great. I've seen others Explore this place They don't take the time like you do .They don't look at things like you do. You open doors you look at stuff and take your time.❤
Hello Dave ….. I’m can’t wait happy see the watching your video …very nice 👍🏼 😊❤
I couldn't just watch a little bit I have to watch every moment I love your videos ❤️
I loved this video! I always enjoy your videos and look forward to the next one coming out. It lets me see places I normally wouldnt get to see.
Beautiful find!
Yes you were right about that grain to flour machine for making bread for the area.
Thanks awesome house I enjoyed watching thanks for all the hard work you do
Cheers to you and all fellow fans ❤🎉😊
The kitchen fire, still has the old pan on the arm to heat up.
Keep up the great work as I subscribed and am excited to see all your videos..Thank you
Amazing video! Greetings from Bulgaria.
I also photograph abandoned places, but our architecture is radically different.
Dave you find the BEST building's, homes, but the find can be very sad..❤❤
You are great a what you do. I would love to see more small intimate homes. The ones with the warm and fuzzy feeling.
The two rooms with matching walls, head board,,etc...is fabric that's wall papered glued to the wall and upholstery to the bed
Such a beautiful chateau and location. Would have loved to live there as a child. I love hearing the birds ❤ Thank you for sharing with
