I got shadowbanned in the facebook marketplace last month. I am selling LED tv's that I got in bulk from an auction. The algorithm thinks that I am selling an illegal weapon because in the title I indicated the size of the TV. I have to wait 45 days for my account to turn back to normal. so here are some additional tips 1) avoid using the word *INCH* when selling a tv or a monitor. (it will be flagged) 2) Avoid using *ALL CAPS* in the title and in the description 3) as much as possible avoid using the word *LIKE NEW 100& BRAND NEW or ALMOST NEW* 4) do not try to use another account while using the same IP. tried it once, it was shadowbanned too. 5) avoid listing multiple items at the same time.

When looking for a certain item it is not unusual to message several sellers at once to find the best deal. But doing so seems to get you banned? If you are a small trader local deals are going to be your bread and butter, but Facebook seem to not want you messaging several people at once or sending too many messages in quick successio, it is normal for a buyer to ask a seller questions before deciding whether or not to commit to buy/sell an item. This seems stupid for a company who's business is social networking and communication. Saying to just wait is ridiculous, if you are mid way through making a deal you could lose money.

Nothing works! I lost my Marketplace access for NO reason. Last week my account was locked for suspicious activity, and I was able to go through the steps to get back on, but my MP was blocked? This is clearly a mistake. I been selling on MP for sometime. Also can't not request a review. You click the button and nothing happens. Proof that these guys make the rules. They don't have to be fair, logical, or just. They do what they want and you live with their decision, plain and simple. I have the same problem, been banned for 5 years, couldnt sell on groups either, then a while after I could sell in buy/sell groups for past few years, I tried getting them to review and still get same automated response and that it is the final decision. Click your account picture > Settings & privacy > Activity log > Logged actions and other activity > Marketplace listings Thepage you end up on will be a list of your posted marketplace listings, listed by date. You can click the 3 dots ... to the right of any listing and click Delete to remove it. I believe deleting them from here is the only place that truly fully removes them off of Facebook and you can still access this location even when banned from Marketplace.
CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT: If ever there was a case involving many clients with real monetary losses, by a company with deep pockets, this would be it. I did a search and surprisingly there is NO lawsuit for the capricious, malicious, ham-fisted and opaque practice of banning sellers AND BUYERS with no explanation and no opportunity to defend oneself. I'm not a pro seller, just a hobbyist, and was banned on my first listing for being "deceptive" and not following "community standards". I wasn't given the courtesy of any explanation or allowed access to the form where you can express your objection. Come on, lawyers, you are the only real solution to this abuse.

I simply deleted my facebook account when suddenly I got fully banned from Facebook Market place because I was selling some knives. People sell knives on Facebook all over but that is another story. First I placed my ad with the title " Knives for sale". That got deleted by Facebook. Then I listed it as "Miscellanous for sale".. That is when I got fully banned from the Marketplace. So I decided to totally deleted my account. I figured I will wait for 45 days before opening a new account. A month has passed so far. So in a couple of weeks I will find out what happens as I will open a new account and I will probably use a different email address too. According to their policy it says it takes 30 days for the account to be fully removed from their system. In other words within 30 days if you decide to log in you will stil have access to your account. So this means that deleting is no different than deactivating. And after 30 days, it takes up to 90 days to remove everything from their system.... all the pictures, files etc. And after that there is still a back up coppies in case of law enforcement inquiry. So in other words... you will never ever be permanently totally cleaned from their system. There is no telling as to when you are actually finished and no trace of you will be found on Facebook. The only time nobody can do shit to you is when you are dead. HERE IS FROM THEIR POLICY PAGE: "Can I cancel my account deletion? If it's been less than 30 days since you initiated the deletion, you can cancel your account deletion. After 30 days, your account and all your information will be permanently deleted, and you won't be able to retrieve your information.
