During they're set my buddy Dallas elbows this guy in the face guy got 32 stitches at the concert came back out with an eye patch walks up to us after the show and shakes Dallas hand and said I've never been punched that hard I'm my life Dallas smiled and said that's the power of the elbow my friend. Story was to great to let it die
I remember seeing them play this for the last time live as a band before they broke up, they said a prayer for everyone to take care of one another, then proceeded to melt all of our faces off with one more incredible performance! This band was awesome, I hope they are all happy in life! 🤘❤️
These were the good days of HTD. if only this video was better quality to preserve this great moment. i hope all people, metal fans and non-metal fans alike, can appreciate this song
Their tour for When Everything Falls was the first show I ever went to. I can't believe that was seventeen years ago.... Still the best show I ever saw. You can always tell a good show if you can't walk the next day.
One of the best choruses in melodic metalcore...that lower octave harmony second time around is gorgeous and that breakdown is epic as is the clean interlude

Lol I used to tour with a lot of these bands on warped tour and we would all go nuts when we heard the REAL intro. That intro had a vibe that wasn’t really happening in underground music back in 08-12 and man to hear it live and see them with as I lay dying made me a d Fan for life and there super good dudes which makes me love them all the more but damn that intro should be there it leaves me needing to listen to the deep cut

I can answer this for you. Around 2008, I hung out with the guys from HtD and they explained this (the best they could) to me. Because of this song's undeniable catchy-chorus, the label was apparently REALLY pushing for this to hit the Alternative radio market. So, an 'edit' was done to have clearer vocals instead of screams to appeal to audiences. In the end...it just doesn't/didn't work. Shame. It's such an amazing song!
Burning bridges is one of my fav albums to lift to along with darkest hour undoing ruin. I'm 36 now, crazy to think I've been listening to the same album for 15 years lol. But anyways, the sound on burning bridges is way more intense than their newer stuff.

Lolz, I played shows with these guys back when they were tots. They were the rich kids from Carmel and had the fanciest equipment. They were best buds with this other similar band from the area called In the Face of War. They stopped playing the local shows when they got signed. The end.

honestly i just listened to like coldplay and foo fighters and shit and MAYBE I had heard of Chiodos at that point, and then i heard THIS version on Yahoo Music and got hooked so I don't listen to this version normally but I really appreciate it or i probably would never have had the love I had for this band.
