- It's a new season 🍂 and my meals on repeat have slightly changed. The meals are more warmer and comforting 🧡
Recipes (all from my app Fivesec Health)
🍜 Creamy Miso Ramen (2 servings)
200g firm tofu
1 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
1 tbsp corn starch
For the ramen:
100g shiitake mushroom
2 garlic cloves
1/2 tbsp ginger
1 tbsp white miso paste
2 tsp sambal oelek
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 cup vegetable broth
1 cup water
1/2 cup plant milk, unsweeteend
1 tbsp lime juice
Toppings:
75g noodles, dry
4 tbsp corn kernels
scallions
🥬 Winter Tempeh Bowl (4 servings)
400g tempeh
3 tbsp maple syrup
3 tbsp stone ground mustard
2 tbsp tamari or soy sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
800g sweet potato
For the dressing:
4 tbsp tahini, unsweetened
1 tbsp lemon juice
For the bowl:
Kale
Sauerkraut
Avocado
Black pepper
🥔 Potato Fall Stew (2 servings)
300g potatoes
1/2 red onion
2 garlic cloves
1/2 cup fresh parsley
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 tsp coriander, ground
1/4 tsp turmeric, ground
1/4 tsp black pepper, ground
230g (1can) cannellini beans, drained
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 cup vegetable broth

YES! Summer is more salads, lighter things, lots of grilling. Winter - way more soups, pastas, a bit more comfy foods! Love this video yet again! Love seeing your little baby bump my fave plant based lady! Blessings ♥️

Alexandra you are my favourite vegan UA-camr at the moment !love your recipes,would def buy your book.I would like you to make a video for us about the transition to being vegan.Hiw did you eat,start etc.I do believe that meal prep is crucial as it is easy to fall of the wagon .
I would recommend adding the miso at the end of the cooking process, so you don't loose the precious fermented bacteria of the product.

This potato stew is an absolute winner...it is cozy and warming. It is special enough to serve as a holiday meal (I made some for Christmas dinner with a loaf of rustic homemade bread). I've made this stew 3 or 4 times, and it's always delicious....every time I'm taken aback that I made something so delicious and amazing ❤❤❤
I love how she eats so much tofu, tempeh, beans, and legumes. Plant protein is amazing.
It's great! Definitely not meat-level (from a bioavailability, complete protein/amino acid profile) but better than all that processed stuff! I am doing part meat part plant-based and these recipes are great!

I tried out the tempeh bowl today but used my leftovers for it (tofu instead of tempeh, loads of local winter lettuce mix for kale, added cauliflower for the potato + apple and walnut pieces) and it turned out amazing, especially the dressing! Will definitely do it with sweet potato some time soon
The saurkraut really adds a little something....I'm planning to use mine up with "Spätzle" and smoked tofu aka veganize a common german autumn dish

Love these ideas! Also, you should try the old fashioned Indonesian way to prep tempeh ; first steam (after cutting) for 10 min then marinade and so on. Will improve the taste and texture so much!
Yes I agree it tastes better that way! I do that with fresh tempeh (but simmering not steaming) ☺️

Yes Sauerkraut are Fantastic, full of probiotics not alot make it or eat it. Like all your tofu recipes Big in Tofu and soy products 😊

Not sure about the brand names, I buy a whole wheat one in the supermarket here in Spain :) I just used wheat noodles, they have so many different in asian stores! Aw thank you so much 💕
Love your videos and app! You are a pleasure to watch. I have been vegan for over 20 years but find i don't have as much energy as I'd like. I'm older (65) and think I need more protein. Any tips would be appreciated. thnx!
Diversity is key (vegan or not) so if you aren't already, try eat as many different plants as you can, throw in some extra in a stew or make different breakfasts etc. or why not a smoothie with lots of different greens, berries and fruit. Also make sure you get vitamin b12. Since you have the app, in the "learn" tab you can see which foods that have the most protein ☺️ But the energy can be for other reasons as well, I would check it up with your doctor

Thank you for this video!!! It's very insightful! May i ask, i am working on becoming plant based, however, i am allergic to nuts, i.e walnuts, almonds, cashews, peanuts and beans. Are there any subsitutes for this , as I can see you use quite a bit of these in your recipes. Do you have any tips on how i could create a cheesy sauce, without cashews?? Thank you!!! And congratulaions on your pregnancy!!!!!!!
Thank you! 🥰 Allergic to beans as well? You can substitute cashews for the same amount sunflower seeds, if the recipe calls for boiling or soaking the cashews, you should do the same to the sunflower seeds :)

Thank you! 💕 Well some recipes just taste so much better when starting of with oil, it brings flavours to the next level :) Some days I don't use it and some days I do, I'm not thinking a lot about it :)
