我觉得‘Singlish’是新加坡的一种特色，外国人是学也学不会的! 我在国外遇见新加坡人，用只有我们才懂得的‘Singlish’交谈，倍觉亲切！一种身份认证吧！在新加坡的学校里，小学、中学、高中老师们教孩子是正确的英语！

Singlish is like a local dialect, combination of different languages n dialects. But if you go to the regular work offices we will auto switch to proper English. Of course we can communicate efficiently with international community we are educated mainly in English from day 1 of our educational life. But locally we do not emulate the American or typical English pronunciation/slang, but it is proper English. FYI we do have a good education system internationally acclaimed.

Singlish is a natural language of the local. It's a mix of English, Chinese, Chinese dialects and Malay.

Don't bother. Singlish is for those who can't speak proper English and make a deliberate attempt to thwart the language. You will be looked down upon if you speak Singlish.
