  • A short video showing the easy way to add ratcheting tie downs for high wind protection for Aliner and other aframe campers.
While very unlikely, on these camper types, it is possible under certain conditions for the roof to unlock at the peak and fold back in high winds creating damage and possible injury. A tie down over the peak is a separate safeguard for peace of mind that that roof is going nowhere.

I have larger Classic and link both rachet straps 1st on both sides before lifting. Easy and inexpensive wind protection.

Thats so - so - and what we used to do. A better method is to install a J-hook flat on rear top edge of the front roof. Then use a cut-to-length webbing strap between the j-hook and an eyebolt installed on the rear bumper. And remember to put multiple twists in the webbing or the wind sill cause it to play tunes on your roof.
