They could have done this at any time but instead squeezed us for everything, tried to take back what they promised, and created a whole spinoff game. They will go RIGHT back to who they truly are. Also why are suddenly believing them again after one TarkovTV segment? They still haven’t fixed cheaters, still have tons of bugs, still aren’t done, and held onto models that were datamined YEARS ago that were meant for us, just to give it to people who pay more.

Maybe not for full PvE, but when i bought the game back in 2017 i never thought it would be *so* geared toward PvP with so many PMC per raid.
I only play pve now that it's here! Love the game, hate the cheaters.
Personally, PvE has been great for the ability to play the game without the stress. “I just wanna chill and play a game” has not been possible on EFT until I got PvE. I love the game but don’t wanna take it seriously sometimes. Probably how most people are.
I don't know a single person who plays that shit. Still makes no sense to me. I fully see why they are surprised

if they start adding that kind of equipment we’ll also need equipment to detect or counter it
I don’t think that adds to the gameplay, I would prefer gas nades so we can use the gas masks for something and would allow a different type of game style and also good for making space between you and your enemy (mostly when playing solo against teams) and also to take rats out from places

I'm a bit worried about the loot box thing, but will wait to see what happens. Also, forcing people to play arena to complete quests is a mistake. It feels like they are looking for a way to make it relevant since it failed.

i mean not really, for the ref quests sure but everything he sells are for GP coins and you find them in every second safe or filing cabinet in the main game

@@brettleonard9228 you can tell everything is optional, you use better gun and better ammo ? WHY ?! ITS OPTIONAL ! You can just play with pistol. Everything is optional until you realize it gives some kind of advantage. More exp ? Faster early wipe lvling and gear ? Who knows. It depends how they will do it but you don't know yet if its "OPTIONAL"

He talked about a bunch of things earlier like chemlights, c4, mine detector you pull out, ballistic shields and a teased 50 cal. Some things already confirmed by the mortar is one shell type is gas and you have a gas mask. Ability to play as a Scav Boss, as well as properly integrating a quest line for scavs. A Reworked Killa that will have a first appearance in Arena. The new boss is called "Partizan" who is a bounty hunter that hunts PMC's with low karma. then a bunch of other stuff like Lockpicking with multitool, Ammo quality, Executions, Scopes and Headwear requiring batteries to operate, Ladders, opening doors with shotguns, aiming deadzone, infil into a existing raid as a PMC, Debit cards, Barricades, Match Replay Analysis, Bayonets, Ability to Kick and knock down people, Actually Travelling to the Trader location to buy and sell ( I think this was Scraped), Healing other players, doors with actual codes you have to press, and a GPS. Awhile back they teased 2 DLC and 4 Maps, It was a Scav focused DLC, PMC Sniper DLC. and the Maps were Skyscraper, Town, Terminal and Suburbs. ( I'm not sure if they cancelled Private Sector at the docks but that was also planned). I believe clans with clan quests and stash is also planned for end of this year as well.
I just found out recently that you can keep pressing your grenade keybind to cycle through your grenades to get to the one you want, but a wheel is way better. Looks like Arena Breakout made some noise and BSG are trying to fire back.

Update: It does work! Although the cycling seems to be random if you have 3 or more different types of grenade
@sweetsoft Good to know! Best to keep to one of two types and limit the number. Hot keys are still the way to go, IMO.

Just a thought, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had this idea but what about an in game clipboard for events that are happening. I just found out all the bosses were spawning on shoreline by running into them on shoreline.
It seems like BSG might finally be understanding if they incorporate what the community wants like SPT, mods, customization etc people won’t have to go elsewhere for them
Trust me they don’t, its a reflex considering the success of arena breakout. The stuff we want and they’ve been now implementing, is stuff we wanted for years sometimes. But somehow when true competition comes around they finally do it and fast at that.

wow this was a TON of exciting stuff, i haven't personally had time to keep up w the game or play it in recent months so this is super exciting. even down to the pinning of cases in the stash to organize better just sounds awesome & the game has so much coming its incredible, not sure why ppl in the comments are commenting on like the first 2 things that were mentioned... so much good stuff

Competition works. Arena Breakout finally lit the campfire under BSG’s butt. I’m excited for all these long overdue improvements and additions.
A lot of good changes are coming and have already come like no fir which is a great change. I hope they do follow through with those June updates as that would bring back my trust. Maybe this was a wakeup call for bsg.

aug wipe sounds like a good time to get back into Tarkov... i havent played since Lighthouse dropped. I love booby traps, adjusts how you play and the speed. ppl gonna be looking down alot more now, cept for the hackers lol

A lot of changes for sure. I feel like with some of these changes pvp will be discouraged in a way. Land mines and red zones. I'm not sure if tarkov will be considered pvp with small maps and all these features.

I think a "Open world, all maps connected" kinda game mode separate from what they have going now would be AMAZING eventually.
but like entirely a different game mode where its like all the maps connected, and able to build hide outs out in the world (somehow, would be kinda hard considering all thats in a hideout,maybe specific locations spread thru the maps could be hideout locations etc i could see that working)

Wont stop mentioning that we got out of inventory mag packing while moving in Stalker Online for many years now, they also had vaulting for years, thank Monolith we got this one in Tarkov now else I'd still be playing Stalker GAMMA (where it works much better).

SPT is instant, and it's cause you run your own local Tarkov server so moving solo play to a localhost server should in theory, but BSG can always BSG it up, make it so your PVE queue is however long it takes your computer to get the match going.

I like the change of pace for Arena regarding eSports. Different genre, but Blizzard made that mistake with the MOBA Heroes of The Storm. They tried to force it into eSports instead of letting it build steam first.
No game has ever succeeded at being an eSport while trying to be one.

I always thought Tarkov is such a beautiful game (ignoring all the drama) in terms of audio, graphics, mechanics etc. - no other game comes close to this.
So Tarkov getting pushed to having to innovate due to competition and backlash is good to see, I just hope, as they said, that they will continue with support etc. after 1.0 because IMHO the game itself is amazing.
I only play PvE or SPT though, but even in these modes, I love it. Can't wait for official mod-support.

Now just add mod support for the solo PVE mode WITH compatibility for SPT mods, and they are golden. They need to make their PVE mods compatible with SPT framework or we're gonna have Skyrim Special Edition situation all over again. Oldrim was king for 5 years after SSEs release anyway because it simply had a backlog of mods that SSE didn't. It took a while for SSE to catch up despite being straigth up better because it ran on x64 meaning it would utilize mutch more ram. Tarkov PVE might run into the same conundrum where there will be mod support but because it's not compatible with old SPT framework it would be overshadowed for a long time by a huge backlog of SPT mods.

Honestly the game is in an amazing state, aside from them trying to extort us for more money, and try to pull a fast one on EOD owners... But hopefully they listen and do more stuff that us, the players want.

How are they surprised pve is successful? Literally zero cheaters, play at your own pace, and experiment with different weapons instead of just meta guns. Just needs mod support and it will be amazing.
PVE is the only way this game will survive.
@@tr1pl741 unless they 100% get a hold on the cheating problem, I agree. Been playing pve past few weeks and it’s so much fun. AI PMCs can be a little botty at times but sometimes they can really punish you.
With the recoil being so little right now, pretty much every gun is meta if you have good ammo
@@gasad01374 I agree to an extent, 9mm even with AP still isn’t crazy good or meta. And anything 308 clears lobbies. 556 feels like trash, 545 is decent. So recoil does help reduce the meta guns but they are still there.
I don’t know how they thought PVE wouldn’t be popular, it’s Tarkov without other skilled people and Dsync.
