Armored plates have THEIR OWN hitboxes on top of soft armor which depends on their physical model. That means for the 6B13 and many other armors part of the Thorax hitbox and the entire neck hitbox is only covered by lvl2 soft armor. Meaning the "Near-instant-kill" hitbox is 3 times larger than last wipe.
"Vityaz" is carrying so hard right now in the wipe for me XD. 9mm was always something I was interested in. Now, you can feel how much better it is for sure.
I have been using the PP-19 w/ the PSO 4x or the 2.5x sight, because of the recoil changes you can control a spray pretty well even with these scopes making it easier to land headshots.
to be honest lvl 6 armor doesn't exist anymore with armor rework, slicks were the only real lvl 6 armor used even before rework, with how hitboxes work now, you might as well be wearing lvl 3 rather than slick. Zabralo doesn''t exist. Sure you can put in lvl 6 plates into other armors but that literally only covers your thorax, the rest is going to be kevlar.
I use 9mm only if I find T4+ pen ammo. These guns are such bullet hoses you would need to bring like 300+ rounds into raid and it ends up being more expensive than 5x56 or 7x62 or even 9x39. 9x39 feels the same and is CHEAPER to run
Not using 9mm with only lvl 2 traders because the moment you run into a simple lvl 4 armor you've lost the fight unless u head tap which any gun can do. Im talking thorax shots 9mm just aint it when 545x39 is common in maps and on flea, and recoil for ARs is all time low

As in real life, the mp5 was designed for "Speed, Aggression, and Surprise", and it is among the best in class to this day. What its not is a marksmans weapon. Its good they are moving back to reality
Nah, .45 fmj, 25 pen, 70 damage. With the new armor overhaul it will be more viable on all targets overall, can spray chest/ neck and get either headshot, neck, or pen the level 2/3 back armor and chest em. If they have neck and a face shield then cheap 9mm will just get stopped.
If they would just apply real world stats to weapons and ammo they would balance themselves. Is one gun in the game more popular than others of its class? Then drive the price up because it is in more demand, especially if it isn't so common on the real world market (like the Kriss Vector). I HATE B.S. "balancing" in games that are obviously trying to be realistic. Most pistol rounds on a per round basis don't do the damage of an assault rifle cartridge in real life. However, even an FMJ 9mm round through the center of your face is probably going to take you out of the fight. One thing I don't like is when players that are already doing well are given access to weapons, gear and ammo that gives them even MORE of an advantage, when the reality is that in most cases if you have the cash you can probably buy it. Excellence in-game should be recognized with prestige items, not with even MORE of an advantage. Rewarding high-tier players with additional advantages is essentially "keeping the little man down", a form of in-game bullying. I am a n00b at Tarkov, so maybe that's how wipes work, kind of like the Gold Rush days.
we need tarkov zombie mode. map is more gritty and scavs are replaced with zombies. still pvp and should be separate game. idk i just want another zombie game to play

Yeah it’s realistic for smgs to have much lower recoil than higher calibers and should be that way in this game. I believe some of the higher calibers recoil should be adjusted though. So they aren’t such a “lazer beam”

in my opinion the rat strategy of not making a noise by staying completely still is and has been the meta for a few wipes now. i love the new guns but i dont have the patience to have this playstyle and i am definitely being punished for it.
In real life i can garauntee you, cunts would set traps instead engage in firefights. I dont mind rats but i cant play like that either. Just play whatever style is fun for you and yeh you will die more than the rats but your having infinitely more fun and more of an experience than seeing tarkov from 1 room.

Like it is significantly easy to control weapons now but that doesn't mean you have perfect accuracy when full autoing, it's just easier to gun people down, but even with a good set of mods you still have to aim well and control the recoil well. Also saying that "all the other rounds were nerfed is just incorrect, all the small caliber and low pen rounds(including non smgs) are just significantly more usable and essentially got buffed because they have more use cases. All the armors people use to use would of had class 3 and up protection everywhere, now there are so many armors with class 2 fillers that you could go in with lvl 1 ammos and kill people who previously would tank your shots. All ammo became viable in this patch, that is the real buff, and in turn because they nerfed how you aquire higher pen rounds, all super higher end armors with really good protection are actually useful.
"Shooting around the armor" is not, and will never, be a thing. In a "typical" 1v1 gunfight Its foolish to try and aim and tap in exposed areas (unless you have complete surprise, well aimed shot, but then you mineaswell headshot) when they can spray denter mass and likely kill you faster
I just cant use it. The muzzle velocity is just so low. Even at 50m you have a stupid level of drop. As a Factory or Dorms rampage weapon sure but otherwise the way I play 9mm just is so rough for me.
Currently my favorite is the ppsh been playing the game a very long time and currently the new changes have made this wipe the most fun I’ve had in Tarkov in quite a few years I’m so happy to see the calibers being balanced and pistol calibers having a place in the game again

Blunt damage is still broken. I ate 2 shots of 7.62x54r fmj to level 4 plates and died to blunt damage. Neither round made it through….not to mention have the armor doesn’t work as intended and lead slugs apparently go through everything right now
9mm feels really bad to me without a.p. or pbp. Mp9 at 1100 rpm at about 10 feet away, pmc ate 21 rounds of pst out of a 30 round mag and then killed me with 4-5 rounds of 855. I had t4 armor as did he.

The way recoil behaved prior was absolutely ridiculous and made the game artificially more difficult. Tarkov should and probably always will be a difficult game. We don't need to have things like recoil be harder than it should be. Semi-auto fire in burst firing are now extremely effective. I'd say 80% of my kills this wipe for pmcs and scavs have been semi auto. That was never the case with my 8+ wipes prior. I love it. Sure its a lot easier to die, but its also a lot easier to kill.
If you miss anything with a stockless mp5 on full auto, you officially suck now. You can't hit from big red to emercom on customs full auto ? You suck. The gun DOES NOT KICK at all.
Let me just say, Outplayed is amazingly good. It helps you see if the guy was cheating or you just had a bad play. Also it's great to show your perspective of why you killed your own teammate and blame him for bad info 😂
Yesterday in a raid I killed a geared player that was peaking in dorms waiting for me. Looted him then proceeded to play "good" until a i died to a low level player with no armor because i lazerbeamed a wall while he moved out of my line of fire and shot my face off lol. That was possible because of the overgassed looking muzzle flash blinding me.
MPX is god this wipe, available Peacekeeper 1, zero recoil stock, cuts through PMCs like butter since you might as well not be wearing armor this wipe.
Not gone to lie, but this is too much music (way to laud) and too many sound effects for me. I liked the old cutting style better. But it's still a great Video.
I've noticed I've had great results with the MP9K when compared to typical ARs, SMG's are so much more viable this wipe with the recoil overhaul and the ammo scarcity of better rifle caliber ammunition.
Arena does not have the armor changes. There is no "neck hitbox" in arena, and no "unarmored zones" in rigs. Live Tarkov 9mm are disgusting right now as long as you can spray somewhere close to somebodys head.
I love the mp5. Had my best ever raid with it bone dry, no recoil. The hyped up 545 ak74 still has some recoil to it so I prefer the MP5 and we’re always aiming for the head anyways…
ak12 is hilariously strong now. G36 too, these are the best so far imo due to good pen, very low recoil if you know how to shoot. Not spray but burst quickly.

Yep. Meanwhile lvl4 armor is stopping monster rounds like m61. You’re much better off spraying for the head with controllable rounds.

366 FMJ out of the 209 has been pretty good to me this wipe. Saying that I enjoyed burning through the m882 with a pp19 for close quarters stuff too.
I am glad 9mm ap is unlimited purchase quantity now, but i'll never forget how dirty bsg did 9mm for soooo long
STM with a good sight is so fun right now. Easy ergo in early wipe while the recoil is taking care of itself.
STM with 50 round mags, suppressor and the jaeger 2x scope is a headshot machine at mid range.
I tried to like it but the bullet drop is so insane it's hardly worth running. VSS/VSK and AS Val are similar but have more power

The recoil on the 74 is so controllable it’s the clear winner. Better rounds available early and relatively cheap to mod
