Your artistic flair is in evidence once again. Your choice of colour and the contrasting stripes are both lovely and classy. Your workmanship, as ever, is perfect. Your client obviously has great respect for you, that is why s/he keeps returning. I know that s/he will have much pride and pleasure from the pieces that you have worked on. It is a good thing that you have gorgeous Daisy to keep you up to scratch.
David: Might have mentioned this before, but one of strong points of your videos - in addition to the editing-is your narration. They provide great continuity and ease of listening. Nice choice for accent stain.
Thats really great to hear and much appreciated. I'm never too sure if my videos have the right mix of things but comments like this give me the confidence i'm doing ok. Thanks for your support 😃😃😃
Hi Dave, another fantastic video the repair on the top came out invisible good job , I’m 73 years old and every time I watch your videos I learn something new,you are never to old to learn. Keep doing it mate!
Love the rosewood stain with the teak. It really makes the piece pop, it turned out beautifully. Thanks for sharing with us, Daisy just loves her laundry line doesn't she❤❤❤
Oh I’m certain that your client will be so happy she left it up to you! This is just gorgeous! That subtle two tone is brilliant! And of course, always love to see Queen Daisy! 💖🌟🐶
What a delightful little side table this has turned out to be. I love the subtle contrast between the stains you have used and it sets off this piece beautifully. No wonder you have gained the patronage of your subscriber, it’s a perfect job. Only what I have come to expect from you of course. 😀 Daisy is wonderful and it is very obvious that she is much loved by her ‘pack members’. My little rescue baby hides in my bed when I go out. He won’t eat, drink or come out until I am home again. He obviously likes my bed because it smells of me. When I come home, he does this funny thing with his teeth. He sort of blows throw them whist trying to smile, it’s so funny lol. He hates being apart from me and equally, I hate leaving him behind. Sometimes it can’t be helped. My other two dogs are a bit more robust than him lol.
Davd, what a beauty. Oak is just simply beautiful. Love your signature contrast 👍🏼no drawers w/ dovetails, you'll find a way!! 🐶 Daisy 🌻 just gets me everytime!! Her old lady way is endearing and you being her pal just makes it so enjoyable to watch.
Oh wow that dark stain it came with hid the beautiful grain on it much more than you could realise until you see it with a lighter stain it is so beautiful 😍 Definitely a good call on the darker stain in the grooves on the side kind of gave it that David Bling factor. I am confident the customer loved it as much as we did 😊 Daisy 🥰🥰
The two colors you chose give just the right amount of contrast without one overpowering the other. Beautiful!!! Once again, Daisy steals the show! ❤❤❤
I love the fact that you care as much for the parts that are unseen as you do for those that are. Beautiful restoration. Great idea to use contrasting stain on those supports. Thank you ( and no rush, just whatever schedule works for you)!
Using two colors worked out really well on those side pieces. Your finish helped the wood grain pop nicely. It's like a whole new side table now - I'm sure the customer will love it!
I’m looking forward to seeing your work on the little table. The new finish and the subtle contrast of the details of this piece are beautiful. The before footage looks so sad! I’m glad you lightened it up.
The contrasting strip makes it look top like a top end piece of furniture. Also, the colour brings out the wood grain beautifully Dave, I love to watch you work. I'm looking forward to the next one, thanks from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺
Please do not try to adhere to some type of "posting schedule". You"ll end up burned out and too stressed to work. Anyone who uses their brain understand that some projects take longer than others. As long as you are happy with what you are producing, we"ll be more than satisfied. The key to success is to love what you do, so NEVER let go of the love in order to satisfy someone else"s idea of what you should be doing.
Thats a great comment and thanks for that, I probably expect too much of myself and think I should be doing more . I appreciate your understanding and for taking the time to comment. 😃🐶❤️
I’m looking forward to when I can get back to playing with furniture. I particularly appreciate the tips about going from dark accent to light by doing the recessed (dark) area first.
I really like the way you handled the two-tone stain on this table. It made all the difference in the world. It elevated it to an interesting piece of furniture. Great job! Carol from California
I love the Gilboys hard wax finish as it looks so easy to do. The contrasting stripe on the legs was the right call and really makes the table shine. Beautiful job!❤😊
amazing work just as usual pal, it is an absolute delight to watch your videos every night with my wife! we both love the content and appreciate all of the work that you put into making these videos, they are extremely helpful for a novice restorer such as myself, and also very relaxing and enjoyable to watch. keep up the great work and keep the videos coming.
Great job as always. It does make me happy though to hear you talking to Daisy, you can tell she has you wrapped well and truly round her paw just by the way you talk to her.
Another excellent job 😁👍 We know these videos can’t be banged out quickly (no pun intended!) Your videos are always worth waiting for - and no, not just for Daisy 😆
Turned out perfect...David you are truly a master..and that Daisy isnt she the cheeky one..give her cute little face a big smooch from me..as always much love to You,the Mrs.and Daisy..😊❤
Thanks so much Kim, you're very kind. Daisy certainly is cheeky and as I type this she is behind me throwing her ball around the room trying to get my attention 🤣🤣🐶😃❤️
Lovely transformation David, a gorgeous little table. I loved the contrasting stains, very subtle but really effective. Well done once again, hugs for Daisy ❤
Thanks so much Kate, I liked how the contrasting stain came out. Thanks again for your very kind support with the “super thanks” gift. I really appreciate it 😀🐶❤️❤️
Just watched your latest video. Many congratulations, your hard work and attention to detail have created a gorgeous golden sunset. Bless your gifted hands. It seems that Miss Daisy has perfected the art of stealing the limelight - as well she should. Greetings from the west of Ireland.☘🇮🇪
Wow! Really nicely done. I think your eye for detail is fantastic. The simple color contrast you did really made a world of difference in the project. I loved the look of the hard wood oil for the finish. I think that it makes the wood grain show better. You turned a simple piece into a work of art. No doubt your client loves it.❤
Great idea David to use the 2 stains. The detail is so much more prominent now. Lovely finish now to the piece. Still amazes me how durable these pieces of furniture are after all these years. Btw gran used to have a piece similar to this xx
It still looks like something my grandmother would have had…it just looks NEW! You can tell it was well made - supports under shelves, glue bocks - and I do like the subtle two-tone. Now it’s ready for the next half century of wear!
What a transformation! It literally glows with its new finish. Oak is one of my favorites because of its detailed grain. It's a hard wood with heft that makes it wear for years. Good to see Miss Daisy again, guarding her rope in the back yard and supervising you for good measure. Thanks for another visit to your shop, and cheers from Oklahoma!!!
Beautiful result as always! Thank you for sharing your work so that we can all enjoy and learn. Congratulations on a fabulous refinish - the choice to use the two tone was great!
I absolutely love oak with wax finishes, it takes to the nuances in grain much better than shellac does. Daisy makes me 😃 I love the contrast stain it looks great 👍🏻
Well what can I say another excellent restoration Dave, sure she will like it, you Daisy and your wife have a nice day Mate you deserve it Mate !!!. Brian West Mid's !!!. 😀😀👍👍🐕.

This simple and practical table will beautifully showcase some books, magazines, a basket of knitting or a pile of remote controls.
