  • The number of dangerous buildings in the capital because they have flammable cladding or are made of other dangerous materials is the highest it has ever been, 1250.
That number was revealed on the day, the London Fire Brigade revealed it, almost 7 years after the Grenfell fire, has the correct equipment to fight such a fire again.
But one of the survivors, Edward Daffarn from Grenfell United, says the lives of disabled people are still being put at risk - because the Government still hasn't implemented all the measures demanded from it from the Grenfell Inquiry.

Hi Rags! Firstly, I love your style of presenting and shooting news, and so glad you have uploaded them to your own channel here!
I love how your stories make excellent use of consumer products from the likes of DJI, and still produces a great image and package!
I use to be an ENG Cameraman, and reminisce on the days of carrying the heavy ENG cameras and the associated Vinten tripods and shooting a package with a crew of three to four, including the boom op!
Will continue to watch your content, and would love to get in touch! Am I able to ask what products you’ve used in this report particularly?
    Cheers from Australia

      G’day!
Thanks for your message. Why did you stop being an ENG camera operator?! I still see those Vinten tripods. Some of my colleagues still use them. There are sooo heavy. They weight much more than all the gear i carry - combined.
So in this report I used on iPhone 13 Pro to do most of the filming. Used another iphone (12) when I spoke the Fire Brigade Commisioner so that I had a two-camera shoot set-up (same with the Grenfell survivor interview). Much better to have 2 cameras so you don’t have the fake-looking “noddies”. And it’s quicker.
The mics were DJI (old version).
And used an Insta 360 X3 for the ladder sequence.
All edited on an iPad using Luma Fusion.
Times and technology have changed - and keep changing.
      Thanks again for your message.
      Rags

G'day@@ragsmartel! Thanks for your extensive reply, and my apologies for the delay to get back to you!
I ceased being an ENG Cammo and the television industry altogether in 2010 because I had an opportunity to pursue a bigger dream, which I did succeed doing and have been doing since! (I'm now an Airline Pilot, lol).
I'm amazed at the equipment you use, how compact it is to carry and how the image quality has become so great it's acceptable for broadcast television, that's really quite good! I have no idea if they're teaching today's up and coming journalist/media students the capability of such technology, but they bloody well should.
Thank you again for your response!
