How to Use a Paint Sprayer to Paint a Wood Fence - Thrift Diving

  • #ad - We have this old wood fence in our backyard that has always been very ugly. Lots of weeds grow in this area and I'd never done anything with this space because I thought it was too shaded. But with a pretty coat of paint (I added just 1 coat) using a Wagner Control Pro 130 paint sprayer, and some de-weeding, the fence is now soooo pretty, and there are fruits and veggies planted in this space! See how I used a paint sprayer to paint my wood fence and to add a small garden! (Contains affiliate links)

      In regards to the fence around the garden to keep the cats out you might want to try to make it taller if at all possible because in my experience with my garden cats can jump way higher then you think.

      Girl I like your honesty, your joyful, you worked really hard, and for that reason you should use more cheer colors at your home, you are not a grey person at all, not at all. I am from Lima Perú, I would love to keep your garage always clean , cause you have male kids, a husband a house to take caré. So thanks for always be joyful, always laughing, in this time is really nice to follow you. Oh and thanks for the advise about painting a furniture or not. You really make me over think what I should do with mine.💞😊🍷🍾💐

      Awww, I've looked through here, your blog, the paint cans and nowhere can I find where you mention the actual color of the paint. I see numerous prior asked. Surely you have an old can dabbed for touch ups? I'll check the "base no. 30", too. Love your videos!

    Our back fence is in need of repainting and we’re so glad we found your video! We weren’t sure if we could do it ourselves with a sprayer, but now we are confident that we can! We originally painted it by hand with a roller and brush and we are not doing that again! 😆 Thanks for sharing your knowledge! 😊🐕🐕🐾🐾

    Thanks for posting this video! I have a 60 ft long picket fence that needed a new coat of paint in the worst way, and I found your video while searching for tips on painting fences. After seeing what a great job the Wagner sprayer did for you, when I saw one at Lowe's that was 10% discounted for being a previously-opened box, I snapped it up! My fence is now finished and looks great!
    If I could do it over again, I'd make sure to buy two to four times as much paint as I thought I'd need. I ran out partway through and had to run out to buy more! LOL. It also takes SO MUCH TIME to clean properly - plan on at least an hour. A big chore, but I guess you still save time by not having to brush and roll!

    Serena I hate to tell you but that little fence may stop a small dog from trampling yr garden but it won't deter a cat. Cats are very sensitive to smells. Mothballs work but have to be replaced after a rain. Citrus peelings repel them too. Check with your Garden Center they may have other repellents available. Also try planting a bed of catnip away from your garden to entice them to that area instead of your garden. Good luck!- love the fence color!!!

    • @ThriftDiving
      @ThriftDiving  4 роки тому

      Ooh, good to know! I am hoping that they feel no need to try to climb into the garden. Lol. I was worried about the garden beds I did a couple years ago but they completely leave those alone with the fencing around it, so I'm hoping they'll leave this one alone too. I'll keep this in mind with the other natural deterrents too! Lol

    I’m totally sharing your page to my Facebook, Instagram and Twitter! My husband and I (newlyweds since Sept 21, 2019 , yes it’s about the Earth Wind and Fire song) are living in a two bedroom apartment with our blended family. We were supposed to move into a house so our combined 3 teenagers will have their own rooms yet COVID-19 happened and now we’re even more crammed. However, there’s hope in sight. My husband and I met in college yet I was an idiot and broke up with him to date my EX-HUSBAND. I’m staying positive because I finally came back to the love of my life and we are all together, crammed in and all- even a dog! Ha! Hope is also that a new President will bring this pandemic to an end and we can get into a new place! When we do, I’m gonna have your channel on instant play! Thank you for sharing! It’s so awesome to see how you try to accomplish projects , learn from trial and error and share with everyone what you’ve learned. Much love and positivity to you and your family from mine to yours!

    You could have used a juice box to spray a beach/jomax blend to kill all the mold and mildew on the fence and then sprayed it off with the pressure washer. You can use a runner drop cloth to cover the grass or plastic mask to protect overspray on your neighbors side of the fence. You did a nice job on your fence!

    One pro tip...ALWAYS strain your paint from the can to the sprayer. You may think because it's new you don't have to do this but use a strainer and you'll be surprised at the little bits of junk in the can. This will save you from clogging the sprayer tip and having to stop the job and clean it out.
