@William HELLHASEYIS No it's not alway raining here 😆 Over the years, I have spent a lot of cash on garden hoses to water the lawn and the plants in my garden, why bother if it rained all the time 🙂 I guess it's kinda like Seattle, which always seems to have grey skies when I see video from there, much the same as it is in Scotland, though the grey can vanish and be replaced by clear blue. Sunshine is guaranteed in Scotland, the moment I step onto a flight to Ibiza 😄 I think God does that to annoy me.
@@missm1548 I have the full later with Jools from November 1st 2002 on SVHS Hifi Master, but all my tapes are in storage right now. I also have them live at the Fuji Festival in Japan August 2004, prefect quality, but every video from that festival is blocked by UA-cam.
Thanks for the video! Brought here by Carl mentioning in his biography that he was so nervous and drunk, unrealizing he’s wearing the jacket on the suit until Pete pointed it out on the stage by saying “what are you wearing?”
this is beginning to happen with incredible frequency again Dez, it had slowed down for a while. i’d only see ya occasionally, but it’s becoming a daily occurrence. only makes me wonder how many times we’ve watched things simultaneously and/or left no comment. lol hope all’s well mate!
@@matthewjdouglas6471 imho.. Babyshambles are superior and so is Peter’s solo work from 2009 and all the collaborations with actually passionate, not money chaser musicians! Shows Peter’s talent, constant need to explore soundscapes and themes, constant improvement while actively fighting his addiction (if anyone tries to put him and his worth as an artist in shambles (lollll) because of his addiction- nope, most of those come from people, who have no idea how it is, why there isn’t such a thing like an easy fix- detox and a month stay even in the best clinic won’t solve the problem of trauma, emotional pain and feelings of shame, disappointment, anxiety etc.) Here, in Germany, it is considered a disability and life-long struggle that requires frequent therapy and supportive environment, as we all observed, tho, media and us, as a society, are partially responsible for making him a scapegoat, encouraging destructive tendencies every one of us- addicts- has. I am myself in my second attempt at recovering and since I moved, changed the environment, substitution clinic (where I get professional help aka therapy, as well as supportive ears of social workers, and whose job it is to help you come back to society, don’t matter whether it’s studies, or school, where you learn about the theory + practicing that new job if you want to change your career. Or they help you just to get a job but only when they see it’s something you’re ready for mentally.), found new people I can actually trust and they don’t thrive on my addiction and mental health issues just because it’s just something ‘so Rock’n’Roll’ 🙄, sth you can get close to enough to feel like a part of every addicts rebellion, bottled up anger and hedonistic tendencies, but not close enough to melt down when things go south. I have had people, that idolized me, which is absurd in itself?, but they were nowhere to be found when I overdosed and generally tried to find help. I don’t think you guys would be using his illness to undermine his overwhelming amount of talent in different arts, either to be a d*ck or to elevate Carl. I just wanted to put some deeper insight into what addiction to opiates and opioids mostly feels/is like and maybe make some things he has done and choices made in his life more understandable. 😇 To be completely honest with you, I tried to give Carl’s band a chance or two and TO ME it sounds like some new indie rock band trying to imitate The Libertines, im not a fan of stuff that Carl actually had written while with Peter, can’t deny he’s a very decent musician, tho. If you have any recommendations for Carlos’ music you find exceptional (would be nice to get some directions, what makes it a strong material etc. kind of thing. And I’m mainly asking Vic Someone here, but if anyone is up for it, then let’s go 😝) share’em with us! love from Berlin!
@@SlavicRusa two very different bands. Shambles is my favourite to be honest and I love up the bracket a little more than the second. I prefer Babyshambles with pat though.
@@matthewjdouglas6471 have you listened to Pete playing libertine tunes on his accustic guitar. They are pretty good, he's got a good earlier version of Can't Stand Me Now that's worth a listen

Do you happen to have the early Libertines Jools Holland performances? x

Love it
Been trying to find this for ages, thanks for this
The absolute bollocks. Appreciate the upload.
Glad you found and enjoyed this
This video is so important

Brilliant innit

Nice one! Never seen this online.
Jeeziss! Is it just me, or is (from 0:44 -and beyond) Carlito down-stroking harder, louder, faster than the tune &/or rest of the band, itself?
You've obviously never seen them play live 😂
Carl got shellacked for wearing the leather jacket that night by Pete …. Lol …. On the awards night…. Poor Carl 😞🤙🏽
Woo whatt
cheers for uploading. so so good.

Pas mal ta chaîne UA-cam...Tu as un abonné de +
Name of the song? What a original and great band.
Up the bracket.
Up the bracket
Welcome to the party 20 years late … better late than never
😊
Thank god for the Arctic Monkeys to come in and show these boys how’s it’s done proper
Nah I like both but the libs were one of a kind
Lmao the libertines were vastly superior to the Arctic monkeys with there one good album
Libertines are far better than Arctic Monkeys
Both really good at the type of stuff they do. I’d prefer to be a messy libertine tho💃🍻
😂
Carl Barat was always the talent. Dirty PrettyThings were a far better band imho.
Thanks for this Steevee!
Carl is talented, so is Pete. All the shambles albums are good. Down in albion and Shotters nation are fantastic record's.
