- In this video I replace the differential and add a hot racing aluminum yolk to my Arrma Big Rock. I purchased the complete differential, the input gear, and a set of Big Rock turnbuckles from Jennys RC. I have no affiliation with jennysrc.com or anything but I have to say that you can find great deals there on parts for quite a few RC's including a majority of Arrma RC's.

Of course these prices and availability are at the time of this posting and may or may not change or no longer be available in the future but Wow what a great deal.
Good choice on upgrading to the aluminum diff yoke. When the internal diff gears strip…keep us in mind. *We are launching our 6s capable diffs. They have an aluminum case, hardened metal ring/pinion..and hardened internals.
Will do for sure.

Great upgrade on the Big Rock! Should hold up nice now🙂👍
Hey. Thanks.

Hey my friend this is a very helpful video, I’m new to the hobby and I have a granite (1st Rc) I ordered the part ARA210007 which is the complete diff with internal pinions un metal and silicone, also includes a metal input gear, but the yokes are the same material as the stock, since I stripped my stock rear diff I began to research but I had no idea the yokes where so important, I wanted to ask, can I still install ARA210007 without shimming and once my HR yokes arrive I can change them? I have my ESC punch in lvl2 and I will drive al 75% Rc limiter. Thanks a lot for your time.
Hey, sorry it took so long to respond, I didn't get a notification that you posted. The Granite is an awesome 1st RC. I assume you got the metal diff boost box. You can absolutely install them. It actually takes quite a bit of driving/bashing before the composite yokes start to wear. The nice thing about the metal yokes is they never wear. I recently got a Vorteks brushed 4x2 and put every boost box on it (most I already had the equivalent parts as the boost box) I put the metal diff boost box diffs in it with the stock yokes and without shimming and it is doing great so far. I recently watched a video of someone checking the fluids in them and they were really low from the factory so I may check mine soon and top off if needed. Have fun and thanks for watching and commenting 🙂👍
@@deeztrucks0505 Thank you very much for your answer!!! And yes you’re totally correct, I have the diffs boost box :D Ok then I think I’ll install them with the plastic yokes now and drive them for at least 10 packs. Once I need to give maintenance to diff and shock oils I’ll swap to hr aluminum yokes. And thanks for the recommendation on checking the internal diff oil, mine were leaking a little bit so I decided to refill them :)
