I am always surprised by how much the difference in size between an 800 and a 900 is visible when they are standind side by side! You are flying in a beautiful landscape. Especially now with the great autmn colors of the trees! Which one do you prefer and how are the flight times compared to eachother?
Thanks for the comment! I prefer larger helis because they’re more stable and easier to fly, plus the blades make a much better 'crack' sound 😅. As for flight time, I limit it to 8 minutes for both when I’m flying 'soft' like here, and I usually have around 25% left in the lipos by the end. :)
@@VruciBurek74 Thanks for your answer! I fell in love as well with a bit bigger helis. Although my "biggest" right now is a OMPHOBBY M4 Max with 420 blades. But starting with tiny M2's and M1's this is already something for me! :) Many great flights with these beauties!
I also started with a 500, and if I could go back, I would have gone straight for the used 700 that I still have. Smaller helis are more agile, but counterintuitively, I actually find them harder to fly. That said, we all have to get past that initial fear - even a small heli is really impressive those first few times. Staying calm is key, despite all the noise! 😅 Of course, assuming we ignore the price.
Great video, and your flying style is what I prefer. A few months back I built Align 550x and absolutely love it. Wishing I had of gone larger. Do you prefer the 800 or 900? I was thinking of skipping the 700 for the 800 is why I ask. I hope to see more of your videos & these beautiful heli's. Thanks for posting!
@@DaDuTchMan2357 "Thanks! Yes, I also prefer regular flying :). I’d say I like the 900 more for the sound there isn’t a huge difference in difficulty for piloting between 800/900. In my opinion, you can skip the 700 if your goal is to go up to an 800. You’ll find that hovering is much more stable than with a 550. Just take the time to master hovering, and you’ll be good :))

@@ariscrea1 ¡Hola y gracias! @VruciBurek74 do you have a parts breakdown list and any information of the conversion you did or maybe a website that has the info? I don’t even recall what Heli an E-1 is..?! Ha Thanks
@@Chief351L Hi :) Here’s a comment I posted earlier on facebook where I explain the main things I did. For the parts list, I mostly followed the E1 assembly diagrams. I still have the 950MX motor to install with the 9T:104T gears and the 122T autorotation gear, but I’m holding off for now since I’ll need to cut the frame a bit. Apart from that, yes, I can also provide a full parts list, I just need a bit of time to put it :) The comment: So, I actually bought parts from the "Align E1 900" and adapted them to fit on an 800e pro frame. It has asymmetrical 900mm blades, which are designed for smooth flying rather than 3D. These parts are quite tricky to find in Europe, as there are few or no local suppliers - most sellers are in Asia, Australia, South America, or the UK. I sourced most of the parts from Australia (like the 900mm main blades, 1005mm tail boom, torque tube, etc.) and got the 120mm tail blades, and 104T main gear from the UK. And for my 700, 800 and now 900, I also added reinforced blue M1.25 gears, which you can see on the tail in the video, plus the front gear, and even TiN-treated shafts (including on the main blade grips) with 6 ball bearings. There are also a few parts from the 700X, like the landing gear, mainly for the look and to keep the tail blades from hitting the grass!
