Beautiful knife! You absolutely can conceal carry this knife I carry my 1917 frontier & Lynn Thompson’s leatherneck Bowie’s everyday I’m about to purchase this one (Natchez) thank you for sharing yours
I can conceal carry bowies here lol just as long as its not a dagger and ill say its an awesome blade but that half cable tang and fiber glass sheath knocks it down a couple points if it had the full hidden tang like the trail master itd be better for sure
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge They claim it for vibration some don't like it and others swear by it , I don't own one as of yet but I haven't heard of one failing with that handle especially when used in combat. 😊
Gotta get me one regardless of who likes or dislikes Cold Steel ,they still play with me. I only had one bad purchase, well 2 because I bought 2 of the same knives. But I have the option of returning them. Good Blade and great test too. 💪
Has the cable tang ever made you feel insecure? Idk just not something I'm sure about. I still love the design and own one. Just my too good to use syndrome kicks in.
It does a little bit but I don't think it's going to break unless you're really trying to break it. I saw a video once where a guy broke one when he was batoning, but he was pounding on the knife back by the handle instead of further out which is inappropriate technique and could break other knives as well due to the stress caused on the knife at that area
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge batoning is always a last ditch method for knife used. I don't know why people live to beat that dead horse with it. Destroys your blade lol. Oh well they bought the knife.
You can get them in 4034 Stainless Steel for 199.95 . The thing that put me off is the tiny stick and wire tang . If something goes wrong with your handle your snookered it's a wire tie up thing .. Beautiful to look at but not practical for bushcraft or as our Isaac pointed out hiking . I like the "trail masters" but the quality of cold steel finish product has been progressively getting worse as the old stock finally runs out and its replacement is a hit or miss quality control nightmare. . Another Entertaining demonstration. God speed to our American cousin.
I really enjoy your videos, but just a bit of friendly feedback...please look at the lens instead of the viewfinder, it looks like you're talking to someone off screen and is somewhat disconnecting.
I seem to remember it being discussed at some length on BladeForums that it’s made that way for balance reasons as it’s designed primarily as a fighting knife and that little bit of weight in the handle influences that balance. Personally I’d prefer more of a rat tail tang at least if not thicker.
Far from the best. It has a cable tang which is even worse with a blade of this length. The leverage will cause the handle to swell and crack under heavy use in the field.
That's a blade iv always wanted but I'm just not a fan of the price of that blade I don't collect especially then just couldn't do it but ots a Awsome blade for sure
I have handled Barkriver BravoⅢ and Natchez Bowie, and I feel that the Natchez Bowie is superior in terms of ease of swing. It feels lighter for its weight and can be handled speedily and without tiring. I guess it depends on the difference of Tang and the shape of the handle, but I think cold steel is also calculated and designed.
Absolutely one of my favorites from CS! I wish I woulda grabbed one in the early 90s
It's pretty cool
Why not pick one up now, in 3V?

I appreciate that! Tried to shut up and just show the knife doing stuff in this video
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge I enjoyed it.
Ok, ok you have me sold!!
Bro, you look like you're swinging a damn SWORD!!! Just ordered one (not the 3V). Can't wait to get that monster!!!
Cool knife no matter what steel

Yeah.... No one will ever know why they didn't just make it a solid tang.

Great Job Isaac, liking this bowie in 3V
Thanks, Joe! It's just a super cool blade

Thanks man. I know it's such a bad habit!
Why did they go with a cable tang instead of a full tang? Just curious? I suspect they were wanting a certain look of the handle.
Shock absorption I guess

Will it though? You've experienced this or just your theory?
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge Don't take my word for it. Take it to the woods, do a lot of chopping with it and watch that handle split.
That's a blade iv always wanted but I'm just not a fan of the price of that blade I don't collect especially then just couldn't do it but ots a Awsome blade for sure
Yeah it's just cool
It will only be the best bowie once CS gets rid of the cable tang (which causes the handle to split apart in time).
Have you actually done this or is it just hearsay?
@@isaacs_knives_and_knowledge Been there, done that. It's flawed.
😊😊😊
Cable tang
Yeah. And?
I'm still waiting to see a video demonstrating the failure of that cable tang. It's been a long wait.
Thats not a knife !! Thats a knifsword or something 🤔 😜😜

It's definitely a great design and quality manufactured
