Yes, I don't understand why people always bitch about fwd and not being to put the power down. Good tyres and some stiffer springs (which I'm sure this TCR version has over the regular gti) can make a difference if you struggle with traction.
The old Clubsport was way more special : special bucketseats , alcantara steeringwheel, special aerokit... This TCR is a boring version of the old Clubsport.

This reminds me of when the Haldex pump failed on my MK7R. It was actually a bit frightening because I tried to overtake someone on the highway and when I laid into the throttle the wheels spun like crazy and the car nearly changed lanes. Thankfully, it was a quick fix and now I don't have to deal with any of that FWD nonsense.

So what's the point of the launch contol.

Come on, saying to not use launch control but forgetting to switch it off? Check yourself at 2:50 "Launch-Control-Programm aktiv" means it is ON. So you did it twice with LC -ON.
Launch control on a GTI is a no no. I raced a stage 1+ mk6 gti both with launch control and it beat me, 2nd try, both with traction engaged and I won. I didn't pull away but I keep the same distance from start to end. I have 7.5 GTI (lsd as standard)

i30N... der beste "Golf" den man im Moment bekommen kann. Oder Type R.. beides fährt die Pissbuden aus Wolfsburg in Grund und Boden. Alleinstellungsmerkmale hat kein Golf GTI... die Duplex-AGA sieht man öfter als nen normalen 2 Liter TSI und das bisschen lustige Folie undn unnützen Diffusor/Spoiler wirste bald auf jedem Golf GTI PP/CS sehen weil die VAG-Homos die ihren GTI noch 6 Jahre finanzieren müssen sich das einfach auf ihre Karre pappen.
Performance ist oberhalb Clubsport, Sound ist ebenfalls besser als beim Clubsport mMn, die mtl. Differenz PP zu TCR ist eher gering, ich würde immer den TCR nehmen.
Hat er die Akrapovic Anlage montiert ? hört man das DSG „knallen“ noch gut bei einem Gangwechsel ? ist er lauter wie der Golf GTI Clubsport oder wo pendelt er sich ein von der Lautstärke ? Gruß
Die Akrapovic wird’s leider nicht geben....ABER dafür ist der Sound der AGA trotz OPF sehr gut geworden. Ich finde den Sound kerniger und bassiger als beim Clubsport, vielleicht nicht ganz so kernig wie beim Cupra R, aber ähnlich👍
What's the point of this car in the UK when the speed limit is 20 to 30 miles an hour in urban areas. And with a top speed of 70 miles an hour if you're lucky. I don't understand why manufacturers spend so much time and energy concentrating on speed when most of the time you can't use it
No launch better acceleration, launch is good for AWD, this golf gti tcr is now better than i30N or megane rs, only i30n have the best sound hothatch 4cyl engines

Also die LC beim Cupra ist echt schrecklich, wenn man mit lc gas gibt scheppert es einmal komplett durchs chasis bis irgendwas passiert.

Launch control is better on AWDs than FWD. you actually do not need launch control on a FWD on normal tires.
