I do not own a golf 7 but rented a 1.6 diesel version for 3 days for holiday and it is an amazing car! Can't imagine how cool the TCR version would be... I wouldn't control myself but to test it's top speed haha

About the exhaust, because you were a bit complaining: Its actually louder if you go out of the sportsmodus, and reactivate it right after again. Just saying, don't know, if you knew...
I'm driving this car for over an year now and i still love to drive it. Such a nice and balanced car. You can drive it like a normal Golf and if you need the extra speed and acceleration you can easy have it. :)

Clubsport S is the track daddy Golf, the TCR balances performance with everyday use ability perfectly. Hope to own one sometime soon, currently own a mk7 GTD.
They should have optioned the Recaro CS seats at the bare minimum. All else Could be forgiven. This has the Golf R Engine w larger turbo rather than the gti perf pack engine...

@AutoTopNL there are some things which you missed or you dont know. You can get optional Akrapovic exhausts, normally there are also black small TCR stickers on the back doors, it has also a new additional spoiler, the carbon mirrors are also optional. Anywell nice review :)
I'm glad they did'nt add the honey cone decal on this TCR but some TCR badges and a cooler spoiler would have been very nice for a exclusive car like this.
It should show TCR as a black sticker on the lower side of the rear doors.... Of course this being a black car, it may not be obvious? The Pure Grey I have mine in is the best colour in my opinion. Shows all the black detailing better 😍 Plus the Akrapovic titanium exhaust sounds nicer 👌🏻
I agree on the styling comments, I would have liked to have seen more aggressive styling. I think the colour helps, my TCR is pure grey and as this colour is only available in the TCR it helps it stand out.
I‘ve to make a difficult Buying decision between the 2019 Honda Civic Type R and the Golf GTI TCR I’m in love with the aggressive Honda but it‘s quality for example the Veloursleather which might get pretty ugly in terms of aging of the car and the fact that the Honda got a smaller tank 10l less than the TCR and it needs more fuel so the TCR might be the more reasonable choice but it doesn‘t fully convince me I don‘t know if it‘s the better way to be reasonable pls help me guys 😭😭
@@raffdichdigga3492 It's called wheel hop, on some cars it get can bang pretty loud like this one. You can reduce it by reinforcing or changing the dogbone mount.
Not a traction control, it's a wheel hop like guilherme g said. That's when wheel is spinning, it can "jump". I was scared when it happened to me for a first time, because it's very loud and you get a lot of vibrations from it, but then I learned what it was and it's ok :D
@@javali6545because the tcr looks more aggressive and has the actual internals for 300 psi This GTI has same internals and Turbo the R has Normal GTI has smaller turbo = this car will actually make its targeted life expectancy contrary to your ECU tuned small turbo GTI Plus DCC ( which sets the car another 20 mm lower compared to a normal gti for better stability and less weight roll when cornering ) And better and bigger brakes then normal gti and perforated discs All in all its a GTI just even more sporty and specificly build for track with 3 intercoolers instead of the normal gti which has 1 …

only TCR logo I know from is the one on the side kit before the rear wheel on the left and right and (probably depending on how you want) this TCR pattern with the hexagons at the side. What I would like if there was a Sticker ''TCR Series'' I could bring on the top of front or rear window... if I will ever have one. With the rims how they are used in TCR Racing it wouldd be easier to notice as a TCR Either they bring a new TCR if this 7 series TCR is no more produced or there is still one available for me later... if I can afford one x
I think it's good it doesn't say TCR anywhere. Not everybody has to know what I have under my butt. So I only have the red GTI stickers on the fender of my Golf 7 GTI! And the one in the radiator grille. An older gentleman (Mercedes driver ;-P) recently told me at the service area that my Golf could only drive 150KM/h after he had taken my right of way on the motorway! Because that was really scarce and I asked him what it was all about. That was his answer!!! With the GTI and what it means, most can't do anything. There comes only a VW Golf. I can change without problems to the left lane. That the Golf GTI 250 KM/h can do, only the drivers who are interested in it know. For most of them it is ONLY ONE GOLF! It is really no fun on the motorway because many simply change lanes without paying attention to the traffic!
They all have two TCR badges as standard located next to each of the back wheel trim/door seal trim. The black ones the stickers are dark grey so he's obviously missed them

I'd go with the R because of the 4wd. We have snow 2-3 months every year, so there is no substitute.

No engine remap. It´s a different versión of the engine. Is the same as the golf r. With bigger turbo than the regular gti.

I mean, the car is really cool, but the price is not pretty competitive at all... I understand it's a limited edition of the Golf VII tho.
