How Target's $5 wine compares to Trader Joe's cheap wines

Target recently announced its new line of inexpensive wines called California Roots. The brand includes a cabernet, a red blend, a pinot grigio, a chardonnay, and Moscato. Each bottle costs $5. We put Target's line up against Trader Joe's Charles Shaw line and other cheap wines. The results might surprise you.

I’m in the East coast, and barely any stores sell alcohol other then liquor stores. It sucks that I can’t get Trader Joe’s wine, or target wine. And I really wish my Costco sold alcohol I heard they have great vodka.

@@Devilish__ oftentimes no you can’t, in my state (USA) it costs over $1,000,000 for a liquor license and grocery stores rarely have a liquor area as a result. Most times you have to go to a liquor store

Seriously I feel like price is more based on the amount that was produced over the quality. I live in Oregon wine country about 5 minutes from the Dundee Oregon vineyard hills. I’ve had expensive wines (being from Oregon I am mostly a Pinot noir guy) that were terrible and more inexpensive varieties that were delicious. Unless you are buying wine as a gift or something I never base my decisions on price alone.
