I’ve tested dozens of portable power stations, and I want to share my top 7 recommendations for the very best you can buy right now. But instead of just going 1-7, everyone has different needs and different budgets, so I chose the best portable power station for each size from as small as 500W all the way up to 7,200 Watts. So no matter why you want one, from camping trips, boat parties, and tailgating, to whole home backups, I am going to share the very best one for your needs. There are two that I have a big star next to and I think most people will buy one of these two. I will mention them when we get there. These are my picks for the top 7 portable power stations and solar battery generators.

Wow, this post is a game-changer! The comparison of top portable power stations is exactly what I needed. I've been looking into Ecoflow and their Delta Mini, but now I'm also considering Anker Solix F2000. The information provided is insightful and helps in making an informed decision. Thanks for sharing such valuable content!
Great video! I've been researching portable power stations myself and the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series seems like a fantastic option. It has a massive capacity, powerful output, fast recharging, and a waterproof design. Plus, the smart app control is a convenient feature. Definitely worth considering for outdoor enthusiasts and RV lovers. Thanks for sharing your recommendations!
What I love about these videos is that O'Brien's range is so wide. He covers ALL tech. I never thought I would be engaged with a video about power stations. Thank you, Mike! (And I love that he reads his comments. He even liked this one probably)
Yeah this one is pretty different from my usual stuff, but I am glad you liked it! It was a video I wanted to make for a long time
Hey Mike! As someone who's been using power stations for a while, I can totally relate to your video. It's impressive how you cover all tech, including power stations. I've been using the Ecoflow power station and it's been a game-changer for my outdoor adventures. The reliability and solar charging capability have been some of its key features. Keep up the great work!
Mike......Thank you so much for this video! I'm new to all of this , and this video has to be one of the very best , in depth reviews I've seen. Thank you so much!
I appreciate the earnest review, but I really need some bare minimum specs when you introduce each model. Max output, total W-h capacity, and AC charging wattage. If you can flash a specs card on the screen with each product intro, that would go a long way.
I really appreciate the feedback! I'll definitely add that in v2 of this video someday
@@MikeOBrienMedia thanks dude - appreciate the response. Definitely following your content now.
Nice video. Which one would be the best for a CPAP breathing machine. Powering it for a steady 7 hours.
Mike - thank you. Excellent, helpful, informative. Great job.
I am glad you liked it!
Hey, I know you said from the top you were selecting the best of each power range, but I'd love to know why you chose the Jackery Explorer 500 over say the EcoFlow RIVER 2 MAX, or the Anker 535, which both looks clearner and more useable on the surface?
Totally Agree!
What would be good to run a ac in my camper? Not looking for all day use, maybe an hour at most
What up Doe!?
Great list Mr MOB👍🏻
I need one to power water boiler when there is no poweroutlet how much output do you need?
hey Thanks fro the video! what you would suggest to get if I need one for my old Ducato camper and want to charge it with solar and also with inventer from the main battery. thanks!
I think it depends on your electrical load, but I think the Anker should be sufficient for most campers, plus it has the TT30 outlet which many RVs can plug into. I don't know much about how ducato campers work, but that's my suggestion
Edit: I am just now realizing you probably have a campervan and not a trailer. In that case, something smaller might be advantageous. The Ecoflow Delta Mini is probably your guy
Does the ecoflow mini good for using the roaming starlink internet? Will need to use 4-5 hours a day
Thank you, you’ve just saved me a lot of time and money.
Honestly I wasn’t surprised that anker was in the top 3. They have very high quality and has everything a person needs. This is not related but I have a charging cord I got from them that is 3 years old and it’s still holding up well.
Yeah I use a ton of Anker stuff on a daily basis
Right for what i needed thanks :)
Omg I skip ads so automatically sometimes, I’m sorry, I’m def trying to watch them lol I’m so glad I no longer live somewhere these would be commonly used to compensate for the whole island being out of power 😂 Great info as always
Yeah these can really be useful!
like the analysis!
MIKE u R A GREAT
CoMMunicater
Would love to get the Bluetti PS72 at that price but I can’t find it smh
Second, after Mike O'Brien! Great video, as always.
Thanks for watching! You are correct haha the first view is always myself, proof watching the vids!
the Sony LinkBuds S vs Galaxy buds fe. which has better noise cancellation?
Sony for sure
Consider Anker Solix ac1000 for the midrange category
why is VTOMAN Jump 600X not on here?
This video is very informitive.
I'm Australian, so many of these power banks will cost me 2x or even 3x the American MSRP.
I experience a lot of power outages, so I'm in search of a power bank that can be placed under my desk, provide power to my PC, and also charge itself for the day I might need it.
It should function similar to a PC UPS.
When I do need it, my main requirement is for it to briefly power my large freezer once or twice (not continuously, just long enough to keep it cool), and hopefully, power a TV and console for at least 3 days (not while connected to the freezer). Not to mention charge some devises here and there.
Any advice on that?
Diesel generator
@@zoewang7169 Got one. I hate it. It's been a pain in my ass ever since I got the thing. It was broken on arrival and after that headache of getting what I paid for, it has never worked the moment I needed it.
Either the fule has gone off or the small battery on the thing has gone flat. Needing maintenance, drain and/or a recharge before getting the pleasure of using it. Not fun.
Besides, that won't fit under my desk. lol
What Zoe Wang said. If you look at wh per pound, BTU’s per pound, whatever, gas be it propane, gasoline or diesel offers more per pound, and more per dollar than any other option. You can easily spend $10k to $25k (USD) to go off-grid with solar+battery. The only thing that gives you is convenience for an up front expense. You can buy a lifetime of propane for that amount.
What’s your thoughts on Goal Zero?
I'd be interested in a broadband EMI (AC noise) reading on these units. I'd like to run clean battery power to an audio system separate from the house power.
Excellent idea. I will record volumes next time I make this video!
@MikeOBrienMedia Great! Any sense of a clean stone wave out! I've f
Liked the Greenwave broadband EMI meter with sound and before and after readings.
love your videos! nice man!
In your video, you didn’t talk about the battery chemistry for each one . That would be nice to know, thanks.
What’s a good power station to power a small RV TV for about 4 hours?
I need this as a emergency backup….for my aquariums ( all my fish died 3 years ago when Texas froze for 3 days) I had no electricity
Very nice
i will get one soon
As a south african, thank you for this video.
Thanks for watching! It's a video I was personally very interested in making. Hopefully others like it as well
Buying one of these for my homw to save a slight bit on light bill. I charge so much equipment on a regular . So why not get solar panel with a power station. Sunlight is free lol
How about these vs DJI Power 1000 or 500.
Hey I need help... what would you recommend to power a ps5??
You have to question yourself.
Do I care about the size? Big or small?
If small, they can last you 1 hour for 200w of drain from the PS5.
Big, takes hours of charging but at least, you can play your PS5.
I feel like you need to separate your console and TV plus Router. I mean buy two power stations.
TV may drain 150 or more depending on the size of your TV.
I'm not sure it's a correct answer.
Yea wanna play the ps5 on its own power station and run my TV on my solar setup... what you recommend?
Positive Comment!!!
What about the Anker Solix F3800 Portable Power Station that's around 2400.00 dollars with 6000W
Where do you get ur power calculators? 47 pieces of toasts lol😊
at 800 dollars the damn thing better have a 5 year guarantee and also a friendly battery replacement by customer.. batteries NEVER last long no matter what you make them out of..
JAckery 2000 plus. Would be good to hear your thoughts on this
Jackery is way behind in technology
How much
120 miles certainly isn't the longest rating for the $1500 Anker product. And based on my experience, I would say that their products are designed to wear out immediately after their warranty period. And their customer service is trash - they do not stand behind their throw-away products and they don't give a damn. 120 mile design life sounds about right. It's literally designed to break.
For me a 5kwh portable power station would be perfect. That would give my EV 25 extra kms as a emergency power station and i could use it at home.
Vtoman ??
The bluetti was the duration when fully charged
That Bluetti is definitely not $269. It’s $399. Idk if it’s a good buy for that price.
Disappointing that nothing was said about the Bluetti 200 Max or the new 200L.
Please, Mike, Wh for capacity, not Watts!!! : )
Isn't that what I said for each of them? Watts for power and Wh for energy capacity. Where did I misspeak? I took quite a few electrical engineering courses back in college so I promise I know the difference. Maybe I misspoke in the video?
Hmm OK I might have misunderstood you, then, apologies!
My confusion was, at around 2:44, you mention switch from 500W to 700W Bluetti and then mention you can toast a lot with that unit, which I took it as you meant 700W is the capacity.
Nothing to see here, carry on : )
That's my fault. I thought the video was too long so when I was editing it down, I cut out the sentence saying the Bluetti had 716Wh. Next time I make this video, I am going to put specs on screen. I think that would probably make for a better viewing experience
No time stamps?
Oops, good catch! I'll add that asap
Do u have a brother named o brien as well on UA-cam
Well, Jack me 500 no good. But maybe the Jackie 2000 plus might be good. I mean, you quit my batteries to it.
And you need to prepare 2 together for 4000 W. Won't better run too much. But I could run my kitchen oven. That's the biggest thing. I know to have a bit of run which is 3600 W, and it could run in 120 outfits and anything else for the most part. As long as there's a 1000 gold, but 4000 W. Then they're not you could take anyours camping fishing. I'm appreciate taking it to your houso. There's some value to it, but otherwise I don't think 2000 watches. Really too much aint really that much. Aint worth very much can't run anything.I really need to run.
$3000 for the geneverse. Buy 6 of the other ones.
Blue, Eddie 72 I want to start with blue Eddie 500. Then you're going to blue Eddie 600. The n***** worked to a bloody blue Eddie 800. And then you go back to blue Eddie 9. Hthere are those are the best generators. They have which I just go back with AA C3 180 500. I won't go with any bigger. I know, but I would go to the Delta pro and a Delta pro. Ultrand I and I would probably try the jackery 2000 plus without the unit knowledge batteries. That might have a thing for me. But that's only 2000 W, which actually adds up to 4000 W. Just like 3000 W of blueetti, Oscar add up to 6000 W with 2 units, just like the AAC 500 from blue Eddie that can run up to 5000 words. With tools can run up to ten thousand watts.
Ecoflow owes me $600. Would love to support them but they took my money.
😲
Idk if u know this, but anker stole people's video feeds and data with their security cameras
Jackery is s way over rated, they do have good customer service, bluetti is a great product but poor customer service, ecoflow is a great product but I don't like the WiFi control for the app,I'm leaning towards the Anker c 1000 or bluetti ac180 because they both have Bluetooth connection for their apps and 1800 watt power output
Looks a bit outdated already, theres newer models available for most of these.
That Bluetti ps72 is now $399. No thanks.
Neo i fall.
The jackery explorer 500 is a hard no
Ur talking abiut people around me that used me to get famous
They coatttail riders
And its getting skinnier now. Ads The One
Eco flo is overrated. Jackory any day
I would never buy either one of these units because they both use, low cost, short lived high frequency, transformerless inverter technology in their design. High frequency inverters run much hotter due to their high switching speeds which shortens the life of the caps and MOSFETs in the units. And the poorer surge capacity offered by these units will prevent you from starting many high surge, household appliances.
What would you recommend then? 😢 I'm enraged after my Schumacher jump started failed on me , it was rated for 1200w but I guess it's all cheaply made😮.
I want something that can charge stuff for 1-2 hours at a time without worry of heat related damage. I have a MacBook and some 20v power tools that I use . most of the time I have an outlet nearby but there's a few jobs where I had to finish with manual tools as I ran out of charge on my tools.
I would recommend purchasing a hybrid, low frequency, transformer-based inverter charger from manufacturers like Schneider Electric, Outback Power, Sigineer Power, Magnum Energy or Victron Energy and a few LFP battery and assemble your own, far more reliable, easy to build solar generator. @@TheBikemaster94

I’m also wondering
This list is not a good look.
I'm sure he was paid for the reviews for these by these companies, and he's not going to capacity levels, and charge capacity and how long it can operate. he's just reading off whatever documentation that was provided. Save yourself some money folks, and build your own. It's a lot better, and easily repaired.

Those things are computer junk.
I will never look at a Police station less than 3000 probably never over 7200 W, because of how they're madeven, though the AC 900 does look pretty good.
Except you need electrician then. I like the ones where I don't need electrician. And I already know that christian electricity part that I need to know.
Aistin aint soprano nope
Neo i fall. Ur deaf !!
Jackery sucks
Here is an idea...if you cant survive a week without power...STAY HOME and let the rest of us enjoy the outdoors...
