- Опубліковано 22 чер 2024
- The best portable battery bank for your iPhone, iPad or MacBook isn’t going to be the most popular Amazon product. I’ve tested 12+ of the most popular 10k to 20k mAh battery banks on Amazon and here are my top picks!
I’ve based my ranking on 13 criteria including price, charge speeds, efficiency, size, heat, cables and extras. You won’t find a more detailed roundup for these battery banks!
Top 5 Portable 10k-20k mAh Battery Banks:
#1 - UGreen 100W Fast Charge Power Bank - mreh.ca/3R1gyrT
#2 - Anker Prime 20k Power Bank - mreh.ca/3yrbu9B
#3 - Anker Nano Power Bank - mreh.ca/4bOB72A
#4 - INIU 65W 20k Power Bank - mreh.ca/3VdtkG7

#1 UGreen 100W Fast Charge Power Bank - mreh.ca/3R1gyrT
-The UGreen has a 20000 mAh capacity, confirmed in my tests.
-Three ports: USB-C (100W), USB-C (30W), and USB-A (22.5W).
-Recharges at 65W, just 30 mins slower than #1.
-The simple battery indicator says “more than power.” What else do I need in a power bank?
-At $90, it’s pricier than average but performs well. Not Anker Prime well but not a week’s worth of groceries.
-Downsides: It runs hotter at 55°F vs. 50°F average.
-It’s large and hefty, not pocket-friendly.
-The slick finish shows grease marks easily.
-All these seem trivial when you need a simple, powerful battery bank.
#2 Anker Prime 20k Power Bank - mreh.ca/3yrbu9B
-Performance-wise, this blows everyone else out of the water.
-Takes in 100W and charges fully in just over an hour with a 140W charger.
-Other 20k banks? 8 hours.
-Prime has three ports: two USB-C at 100W each, and one USB-A at 65W.
-It can charge two laptops at 100W each.
-Seriously, two laptops, one battery bank.
-BUT 20,000 mAh isn’t enough for two laptops.
-It has a smart screen showing power levels, recharge time, and power draw.
-Most of this info isn’t critical, just cool to have.
-Pitfalls: Efficiency isn’t great. Anker claims 20K, I observed around 18.5K.
-It’s heavy, at 536g. The next heaviest is 480g.
-Price is $150, plus $70 for an optional charging base.
#3 Anker Nano Power Bank - mreh.ca/4bOB72A
-It has two ports, USB-C and A, plus a built-in USB-C cable.
-Max output wattage is 30W for USB-C, which charges phones and most iPads, and 22.5W for USB-A.
-It charges fully in about 90 mins, much faster than the average 4 hours for other 10k banks.
-Anker has placed a screen under the cover to show you power levels, unlike the usual 4 dots.
-I’m a fan of the built-in cable design because you don’t need to bring an extra cable and it feels more secure.
-No difference in charge speeds between the built-in cable and my own.
-Biggest downside: efficiency test showed around 9600 mAh instead of the 10k mAh capacity.
-Not a fan of how the back wears.
-At $70, it’s one of the pricier battery banks, but cheaper than the Top 2 and best for smartphones.
#4 INIU 65W 20k Power Bank - mreh.ca/3VdtkG7
-Unlike the #5 pick, it outputs 65W, great for MacBook Pro use.
-It has three ports: two USB-C, one USB-A, with clearly labeled wattages.
-Charges at 45W, full charge in 2.5 hours. Some packs take 8 hours, so this is quick.
-The front looks like it has a large screen but doesn’t.
-Soft rubber finish improves handling.
-Has a hook stand for your device during charging.
-Cons: it runs hot, clocking in at 61 degrees.
-Size and weight are its main downsides.
-At $40, it’s affordable with a 65W output, making it great for laptops.
#5 Anker 733 GaNPrime PowerCore 65W - mreh.ca/3Vg0ntk
-#5 for battery banks, but my summer go-to.
-The Anker 733 GaNPrime has a stated capacity of 10000 mAh, my tests show around 11000.
-It uses 4 LED lights for battery level.
-It has three ports: two USB-C (30W each) and one USB-A (22.5W).
-Runs cool, likely due to its bigger size and heatsink.
-I initially thought it outputs 65W, but it doesn’t.
-It fast charges iPhones and smaller iPads, but not larger ones.
-65W output only when plugged into a socket.
-Less to carry, always topped off, and easy to locate.
-Downside: the price is around $90, almost double the average.
-BUT you get what you pay for.

Very underrated review channel
How? He literally does 0 scientific testing, doesn't show any output efficiency numbers at different loads, maximum temperatures during charging, max sustained long term output... All he does is casually charges a few devices and tries to guess mAh. That's it. He also read's manufacturer's spec sheet. AWFUL, low effort video. AllThingsOnePlace has 20x less subs and shows 100x better testing and buying recoomendations based on DATA, not feelings.
@@deivytrajan
It's his style. It's like reading a standard TOP 5 article, but with visuals. After the video, you can search for the product and see even more details, just like you'd probably do with the article.
You can't compare Aaron to others, it's like comparing milk to cheese. Different things.
You commented negative comments on this video for three times, two of them are very similar. Are you bored, or you hate people? If the channel is not to your liking, there's a way of saying things, or you can move along to the next video.
Have a nice day.
@@deivytrajan He tells you the pros and cons of products. Also, he does do testing to conclude what you should buy. In the end, it’s a good channel, AllThingsOnePlace is also a good channel but I prefer MobileReviewsEh.
@@Pavel-ex2wn the testing he does is very basic and for such massive channel is unacceptable. He tries to guess total charge capacity of mAh and measures temperature somewhere (he never tell us and only mentioned temperature of one out of 5 products) and the rest reads from the spec sheet of manufacturer.
@@Delicate141 His style of making low effort top 5 videos? Sounds about right. I bought a case for a phone he said is the best case. After using it for a bit it’s actually shit. After 3.5 years it broke down, entire time super slippery - which he never tested nor mentioned in a video… Casetify had way better cases. I was doing research about best chargers and power banks and found really good, although small channels. I saw this guy’s video as I was subbed - i thought let’s see what he shows and says. Well, 100x less info, almost 0 data shown, just “trust me bro” list and “secret testing” that I could do with a €30 tool. For a channel that probably gets close to €1000 per video, it’s a total joke and fanboys like you keep digging these videos. It’s crazy. It’s like watching Jake Paul boxing and be like “damn, he is such a good boxer, super technical and underrated”. He is popular, doesn’t mean he is a good boxer - this applies here and I’m commenting so others learn and maybe this channel owner will accept criticism and learn something, put more work in his video.
The only actually funny tech reviewer that makes it fun and informative? I haven't had enjoyment in learning since Bill Nye til now .

Great review as always. Just what I was looking for
It's awful. He literally doesn't show any testing. It's just a trust me bro, i charged my iphone 2x with this power bank so it must be good.
Excellent review, as always - thank you
Great review, thank you!
Big fan of your videos. Keep up the good work!
Oh! And I like your reviews. Good stuff.
Thank you! I needed a new power bank and will be using your affiliate links and recommendations. Keep up the fantastic work!

Best accessories reviewer of all time!
As a consumer yeah, i would say is one of the best, but not THE best, but a way better option rather than knowing mAh and other bs that your typical consumer isn’t gonna be that aware of. Things can be improved ngl.
Best content on UA-cam as always! Thanks for your unbiased reviews :-)
As always, best accessories reviewer! Thanks
great review idea! thank you. i’d want to know the top 5 plug in style battery banks with built in cables
Great review!

Got a new subscriber here! Appreciate this approach!
I just bought the Anker GaNPrime 733 on sale a few days ago based on your suggestion previously for exactly the reason highlighted in this video - having a battery and charge brick integrated into a single item to carry is going to be perfect for keeping a tidy travel bag. I like that it does full 65W when plugged in which matches the wattage of the brick I was already carrying anyway for my iPad Pro and MacBook Air.
My prior power banks charged gear from battery at 18 and 24 watts which is waaaaay toooo slowww for bigger devices; 30W on battery with the Anker GaNPrime just squeaks across the threshold into acceptable for me.
How is something "hot" running at 55° FAHRENHEIT? Did youmean to say Celsius? You stated both "hot" units in °F scale, which had me utterly confused the entire time.
Love the commentary from the dog 🥰 Great review. Thank you 🙏
Great video thank you super helpful
The best…..Thank you for everything you do ❤
One of your funniest videos ever. Im impressed at how many references you use. Very clever
My goto channel for whenever I want to buy any sort of tech. Calling it now, he's gonna hit a million subs soon. Incredible channel.
The dog did a fantastic job helping out with this video
I agree
I thought the dog was a stuffed animal until he moved 😂
Great review as always - I take your recommendations as the best info around - also, you clearly don't skip arm day! :-)
Glad i bumped to your channel.
Just ordered the UGREEN 145w 25000mah version
Thank you
Such great information. Could explain how you get the temperature numbers for these items? I mean, 61ºF is the hottest you recorded. Is that above ambient? Again, terrific review as always.
i can't believe how patient your dog is
Ooooo about time! I was just searching for your latest power banks review and you have a new review coming up
I was hoping you would do this....notifications turned on
Review based on facts, you earned my subscription 👍🏾
I received my Anker Prime 27,650mAh & charging base two days ago & wow it’s super fast, it’s definitely worth the money
Mine arrived brand new and completely dead in the box. I sent mine back to Anker yesterday. I can't trust the product now. The 737, however, has been flawless. Given that the 737 is under $90 for Prime members now, you really get more for your money with the 737.
Hey man thanks for reviewing this I am not a bot I am literally grateful for you to be doing this rn because I have been needing to find a good power bank but despite saying 10k watt or 20k watt sometimes those indications are not enough, thank you have a blesseth day child.
Glad I could help
Great video! However I would've liked to see all of the other power banks that didn't make it into your top 5 and also hear why, so at least we know which models/brands we know to avoid as well.
Your video helped me decide which power bank to go for. Decided to buy Anker prime 20k. Quick question though, is it TSA approved for airplanes?
Would like to have your thoughts and opinions on the Nitecore battery packs. Thanks!
Thanks! Had this ugreen and Anker on my list for a while but couldn't choose.
Can you review nitecore power banks
Fantastic. I bought #4.
Did you review the Promate Titan 130? It looks like a really good battery and the price is great. Can't find any reviews of it though.
I've got a INIU 10000mAh 22w and love it. It also has a light if needed :) Best £20 i spent.
do you have reviews of ones that attach to back of your phone?
I bought the Ugreen 26000 and it’s fantastic. I had the Anker and it didn’t last a year.
Since I plan on traveling a bit more this year and the next few years. The #5 pick flexibility makes it a no brainer to me.
Any chance you can compare to the Baseus Blade or Blade HD? It’s much slimmer and does 100w.
I’m a huge portable advocate. I carry two Anker 325 Power Banks (20k MAH) every where I go. Phone never dead lol
What phone case would you recommend. Preferably want a protective one. (iPhone 15)
You could watch his previous videos I’m sure he must have at least one video on cases 🤷🏻♀️
Anker powerbank is awesome i have the previous model of the prime and it's been one of the best purchases I've done
Can you do a review on matte screen protectors
And what about The Ander 737 ? I havé it and it seems good but what do you think ?
Was Shargeek also tested?
Thanks!
I’m eyeing the Anker 733 as a travel powerbank.
Why didn't you do the Anker 28k instead of the 20k?
Be nice to know if any of them can be used plugged into AC power besides the one with the built in plug?
Nope.
The think I like about Anker in general is that once fully charged they hold a charge for a very long time i.e. like months.
Could you review the Aohi Starship please? Thanks
Have you tested out the Shargeek battery bank against these? I know it has 2 version a Slim and fatboy and I am curious on how it would do against your testing.
I’d love to use your links… but live in Oz. But thanks for the reviews.
Please review the best Qi2/MagSafe car chargers, huge bonus points if you confirm compatibility with Android phones and test charging speed/wattage
Good luck with that
Great video. Well paced and cut. 🍻
For those who might be able to answer, What is something I should consider for overnight charging of an iPad Pro, iPhone and a Keyboard? Is there something that will work good for all 3 simultaneously? I don't need super fast charging but say 6hrs or so to charge them all. Thanks
5:18 your welcome 😂
What about charging low power draw devices ?
Do anny of them support that ?
What about laptop charging do they have a mode so it does not suddenly start recharging from the laptop (shared in/out port issue)
I know the Anker charger and power bank, but expensive than others, but I like the plugs. I like the Baseus 65W GaN Charger Quick Charge 4.0 Type C PD USB Charger Portable Travel Charger Fast Charging For Laptop iPhone 15 14 13 and it is cheaper and very high quality this company produced. all my cables are from Baseus. The Baseus 65W is a travel charger and provides 3 different plugs with it. just pull it the plus and insert British European or Australian. the price was reduced to 40 Canadian dollars.
The button on the ugreen powerbank can enable small current mode if you hold it for a few seconds.
You're the ANKER SPONSOR Tech Man!
Thanks 👍
awesome thanks
At 30watts it should take 3 hrs to charge 10k?
Did you notice the Anker GanPrime was sturdy when plugged into the outlet given that it's only a 2 prong not a 3?
Which one supports pixel 8 fast charge?
Which one to buy just to charge my phone and bring it everywhere with me?
That bent iPad @ 1:04 LOL
I think the 25000mah+ battery packs are the way to go! I have this amazing cycnett one thats lasted me two years and still going strong
While we are all waiting for you to get around to it, could you at least have a Monty montage?
agree
Here we go!
Did you try any above 20k battery packs. I want to know which lie about the capacity on Amazon.
Going with the Anker on this one. They go on sale for $100 fairly regularly.
I 3m covered the back of that Anker power bank and it’s mint
The dog is waiting for you to hurry up because he's hungry 😅
I use the Swiss Tech "Antreiben" and "Leistung", 10K and 20K . Great review, sorry my favs did not make it.
Are the temperatures in Celsius because 55 F is cooler than average room temperature.
Yes, in C.
looks like recently a battery that's basically #5 and #3 combined has recently come to Canada
I’m surprised that the most recent would not bump some of these older banks he’s talking about
@@Paa375 maybe he didn't test that
@@drift3426 yeh probably
Can any of these power bank charge up my JBL charge 5 Bluetooth speaker?
I use the Anker 27,650 power bank for my Meta Quest 3..... is much bigger than the 20k you have on there... cheers!
subscribed !
I'd be curious to see a list of the products tested that didn't make the cut. And maybe some kind of system marking if they are do not recommend/bad product, vs just not as good as the top ones.
problem with #3, is the built in cable over time will wear out and is not replaceable and hence you'll have to throw it out when it gets frayed or cut. The very same problem that plagues most of the Macbook magsafe chargers before they went with USB-C
Anyway you can do a solar powered version of these please
Your top pic 100w Ugreen has tons of complaints about stated capacity. I'm wondering why that is.
No shargeek chargers making top 5?
I don't understand why Anker prime 20k is second, but you didn't envolved anker 737 which i use regularly and is a 24k plus the pros of the prime, charging it at 100W with 140W total output, c1 100W, and same screen 🤔 could you do a video on your opinion about all the anker powerbanks?
I have the prime 27k which is arguably the best out there....even has supervooc capabilities for OnePlus devices. The USB A charges at a max output of 65w. I've not seen another battery like that.
Plus 200w output for laptops is nice.
that's peak 200w output, after a few minutes it will go down significantly. Manufacturers are lying and they just mention best case scenario. Oh, it can deliver 200w for 2 minutes, after that it does only 100w, well, let's still write 200w on the box lmao.
Try Beaeus Adaman 2 VOOC 30w Power bank.. its the size of anker 10kmah mini power bank
Don't need a jackery, there are several power banks above 20k mah I have a few to power my laptop
What’s the maximum of a power bank in a passenger plane carryon?
It's up to 100Wh without airline permission. Assuming a nominal battery voltage of 3.6V that's up to 27,777mAh. It's dumb that power banks are advertised using mAh as it's an entirely useless metric unless one knows at which voltage. Most brands use 3.6V or 3.7V, which is the standard Li-ion cell nominal voltage.
Did u see there's an INIU 25k powerbank too? maybe that ones better
