have you already licensed a beat officially via tracklib? will they approve my beat before i get the license so that i'm 100% save or can everyone buy a license without any approval of the actual beat but if something is against the terms (they are not even clear to me) the license is useless? i'm waiting since a week for an answer from tracklib
Very good video and a great way to share the food with creative artists like you and originator's of the original art, well done and keep up your creativity you are blessed
hello Sarah..I dont see your videos as often as I used to,yet If I reset my page one or twice, there you are. Here's the thing about you,and take it for what it's worth. My personal view is that you will be a major force in the music and business world.Nothing to can stop you from doing that except yourself,so do not even go there. What I like is,you came on the scene, paid attention, asked, learned, studied, and jumped right in,which tells me much about your upbringing.I have daughters, and one of the most important things I could tell them,is to be a force,be the best, and to master your niche. It's important to create your own narrative, your own persona, and your own legacy, instead of pretending to be some hapless victim.I seriously doubt if i have heard many people explain sampling like you have, and be professional, accurate, and concise.I have a really insane amount of records, and four samplers, yet for the most part,I create my own samples from found sounds, synths, etc.people need to understand, you cannot just cheat people from money for using their music, and then cry, when someone pirates your whole EP/LP.So anyway, just keep up your great work, and be the best Sarah, all the time.Thank you, from the Boogie Down Bronx...Like we used to say.."One for the trouble, two for the time, come on Sarah, and rock one time',"One for the trouble, two for the bass, come on Sarah and rock this place"........hehehehe..DJs,MCs,,BBoys,Crate diggers,Beat makers...
So can u help me. If i make a sub on tracklib i can clear automatically samples that has the site without paying sometihnk extra? then i can chop them and make beats and sell them?
Excuse me - at which stage do you actually share the corresponding revenue with the artist of the original piece? Let's say I have already properly paid for a licence. Do I need to do anything else when I upload my song using that sample to streaming services?
Great video as always! How about the vynil disc we buy. to sample. Do you have info on if these need to be cleared and if so, what could the process be. I don't do sampled beats, just the royaltee free like output Arcade and splice, but I'm interested in using a turntable.
Tricklib is dope and everything and I think it’s cool that it can provide new beat makers a platform where they can access samples in a legally safer way. BUT, let’s be completely honest with ourselves here. There’s nothing quite like going to the record store, sitting there for a little while, searching through all the records, smelling the old dusty smell they have and then going home and sitting there till you find something that’s fucking sick and don’t get me started on crackle😩I’m a crackle fiend haha
Yo!!! So I’m tripping hard right now!!! I recently discovered your music and was like yo this girl is dope af. Then today I go on YT to find out how to clear this Doja cat sample and I find you!!! So sick. I would love to shoot you the track if you wanna give it a listen!!
Another kool video! May have to get the MK3 + in October, or at least the MK3? Anyway the Gopro 360 was sick in this one... oh and when do we get to hear some of that mint green Tele on the right?
Yo so after watching this I have subbed, started my sample license, and bought your mk3 course! I’ve had my mk3 for 4 years and it’s jus collecting dust lol. After me and ski Beatz banged out some records I was like I NEED one lol
Sarah2ill thank you!!! I sent you a DM on Instagram as well 😎 so happy I found you haha. I jus discovered your beat tapes on the chill beats playlist on Spotify and downloaded everything haha
Hello there for example i make a beat and a song i use your loops or sample then i find out that someone use the same sample as mine he uploaded it on spotify can i still use that or can i still upload it on spotify no copyright strikes?? Thanks hope u answer Please
Tracklib is made by Erick Sermon ( EpmD). I’m like the ginger bread man, catch me if you can 😙😆..... I chop samples pretty thin and pitch them. If my sampling was recognizable then yeah. Excellent video 👂🏾👍🏾👍🏾
4:01 The boss Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespear. Sly is the first person I ever saw use an MPC (the 60 mk 2) back in the early 90's. When you look on that page and see who sampled them read between the lines of who the boss really is
Hi Sarah ! This video is really dope. And the live session is awesome. I've a question. How to you move from a bank of 16 samples to another during the live ? On my MK3 I can slice more than 32 slices but I only have access to the first 16 ones... Great job and you're still inspiring. Peace.
So I've made a beat using a tracklib sample that belongs to category C with a total of 35s usage of the sample (intro+all the slices together). If I now want to sell the beat on Beatstars for example, I have to pay 50$ for the license, right?
Very dope samples! Elevate your speakers from your desk to get a more accurate sound. Trust me. You will hear a greater acoustic difference when you mix plus add some base traps and diffusers
Another great video! 🙌🏽Which TV or a monitor your using? I'm leaning towards getting a tv to sync from the computer! 🤔 Thanks for always sending positive vibes and motivation our way Sarah!💞
Dope info, keep shining light...that’s what makes crate digging so fun though...you’re only in the wrong, if you get caught....😁 peaceyaself 2ill, keep pushing forward.
I'm sorry if this is a dumb question (I'm new) but do I need to get a license if I'm not planning on selling/making money off of the music? Like I just want to have fun and produce because I have a bunch of songs that I would like to mess with.. Do I still need permission if it's not for-profit?
Hey Sarah, first thanks for your vids! As you are both SP and Maschine user, I'd want to explain you my current situation so you can help me choose between one of them: I'm so hyped about SP and its fx, more than I'm about Maschine tbh, but I know Maschine is a much more capable device. Portability with maschine is not an option for me since I own a desktop computer and I dont plan to get a laptop by the moment, but the idea of using the sp on the go its totally a plus for me. In my case, making beats on the Sp doesn't necessarily need to be standalone always, the idea would be using it also with ableton to record drums or using it as external fx etc. Also would try to use it as external insert fx + loop launching in my computerless techno dj set (cdjs + xone 96 mixer) To sum up, if I owned a laptop I'd definitely go for Maschine but as you can see portability with the SP is priceless for me (also already got an audio interface so mk3's one it's not a point) So the question is: Are the advantages mk3 has over SP worthy enough to get stuck at the studio with the desktop computer or should I go for the SP which I think is the one I prefer? What would you do? I produce techno music too so Maschine its a totally better option for that, but I dont really mind staying in the ableton + mouse / keyboard setup for techno, all I really want is a hardware pad device for my hip hop beatmaking Also it would be appreciated if you guys tell me your thoughts. So sorry for the long comment and many thanks in advance! :)
Hey Sarah, I just subscribed to ur channel and also bought my very first beat machine, its a MK3. I like the fact that you focus on the MK3 and share tips and tricks you use. I also love that intro track, I forgot who it's by can you help me remember the artists name ? Thanks...Peace be w/you
I thinks it's unfortunate that tracklib turned to a monthly fee. I think this will only exclude more people from using their service, compared to what it was like before this change. Great job and thanks for all the work you put into your videos though:-) You're among the few youtubers I actually subscribe to Peace:-)
I agree that the subscription model is unfortunate, but people that subscribe, will probably use tracklib a lot more than with the old model which is good for the artists I guess(?) and themselves ofc
I been watching your vids for a while and just realized I wasn't even subscribed...sorry! Anyway, thanks for sharing your experiences and knowledge. I drew inspiration to start a channel from people like you (and my kids)! Long way to go for me, but I'll get better...lol.
As long as Traklib keeps improving their library they’ll be here to stay. Their older site was so trash bruh lol. Now it’s easier to find newer samples without having to cycle through the ones you already heard there.
@@Sarah2ill nice! thanks for the atenttion sarah u 2 ill 4 real hahaha, just one more question, i cant afford a maschine i hope one day, i use serato and an akai mpk, can i still do it just setting the slicer in serato?

What a time to be alive...as a beat producer!

Is it true that IF we havent sold the track and only use the sample for youtube beat making etc, that its not necessary to clear a sample.
