This is probably the best "make songs not loops" video that I've seen so far. It's all laid out step by step, well described (except for transitions lol), cohesive, fun, and gives a really good look into your personal take on music. Not to mention: it sounds great. Sarah's out here cooking up some knowledge! I'll never forget that "spread the ingredients out" analogy. I'm gonna go make a cake!
I'm definitely going to take your maschine course once I've saved up enough money to get myself one. Whilst I'm fortunate enough to be able to study music, my degree unfortunately doesn't teach anything that's music production related and all the knowledge that I've managed to get on Logic Pro is genuinely because of you so thank you for the vids and for being such an awesome person! Stay safe!
I've been progressing from purely guitar based songwriting, to more computer based and electronic music, and your videos are super helpful and informative. This one is great, so straightforward. Thanks Sarah!
Thanks for the tips, that was really helpful for getting me unstuck on some stuff. A couple of my favorite effects for changing things up are Turnado and Effectrix from Sugarbytes
I'm still learning and these tips are SO AMAZING! Thank you Sarah! Got myself a melodics subscription as well. I cannot believe how fast i'm progressing. SHE'S LEGIT GUYS!
I legit insta-clicked this cause I've been struggling with this for way too long. Thanks for the tips I really want to play around with the ducking drums in and out now.
Thanks for sharing. I've been making beats for a long time but I haven't been using cool effects like what you showed us. I'm gonna have to get me some new effects.
ohh i really like this video format! well divided and didactic, and with practical examples in the middle of it! it motivates us (ohh well.. it motivated me) to go and make our own stuff right now in the end of the video (which i guess it's a cool measeure for a video format and content)! thx sarah! have fun!
Hello Sarah, I just ordered me a Maschine Micro MKIII. Is your Maschine course achievable with it or is it just for the big guy? Thanks! You are a true source of inspiration and I love what you do! You are the main reason for me choosing it.
I love your music and videos, I am trying to put my stuff out. My job let me go last week so funds aren't looking so good, What would be the best way to put out my album? and would it cost me money to do so?
OneMoment Oflove SoundCloud and Bandcamp are free. Otherwise I use Distrokid and it’s only around $20 a year. Gets my music into all of the major streaming services
OneMoment Oflove you can download an app called Amuse. They will distribute the album for you for free. The make their money off of artists who decide to sign with them when given the offer (not mandatory)
Yes. Just take things away. Or add things You can drop a sound effect right before the change up. Removing drums or samples before the next 4 bars. It’s really up to you.
I'm maybe 1.5 years into incorporating sampling in my music. Would it be beneficial to chop loops or would it be better to just build a track off of a loop? I've been doing original chords for so long (not formally trained but I do some playing keys), it's hard for me sometimes to time my ear to sampling and loops.
Thank you. Happy belated birthday, Aries represent... I think I’m gonna roll with Native Instruments’ Transient Master. Peace, blessings and continued success with your craft....💯
Sarah, you think like me but in female form. You truly are an inspiration for the young generation who think selling drugs on a corner or back-alley is the only way out. They should all watch at least one Scott Storch video...made $100m till he lost it all but didn't lose his talent 🎼🎼🎼🎼
Ya beats soo laid back they make me wanna smoke a spliff but being that I have a commercial drivers license and a job with random drug test, I can’t loll
After work, get balsamic vinegar and add 1 cup to a gallon of water. Cap it, shake and drink before the next day shift's starts. Tastes like watered down wine. It flushes out your system.
Hey sarah you inspired me to start youtube and I've just got my maschine mk3 😅✌ check my beats out, early days yet but I'm a guitarist soooooo still learning 🥰
Sarah2ill yes. Those drums who were made popular from the Cuban rumba are the congas. You can definitely make some amazing samples of some congeros (conga players) like changuito, tata guines, Giovani hidalgo, Miguel anga Diaz. Check them ;) Peace and thanks for your work. I’m flutist by the way, you might like few stuff I do maybe

Really awesome content. Thank you!
Favorite FX Plugin: Guitar Rig 5 or Reason Rack Fx Plugin
💯💯💯💯💯
Rather enjoyed the format for this vid. Great advice too. Cheers!
Solid....
saraaaah you are amazing :3
DR. APPROVED
Nice! 👍
I need some ambient sounds. What do you reccomend?
I like a car's engine rev reversed and run through a phaser builds tension up to a snare hit.
Love your vibe! What are you using for your stutter fx? Can you do that from Maschine or are you using a 3rd party plugin?
Black mask. Effectx. Rc 20. Akai 20.
Did you do any song for industry artist yet?
amazing video!
Yo but what about the vibrating rainbow cake-slice....so chill!!! Beats are always 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥💡💡💡🙅🏽♂️✊🏾✨😍
Making words up is the best, and you Sarah... is 2ill

Distrokid is a life changer. Discount code in my description. I’ll be making a video on how to make music on UA-cam soon
@@Sarah2ill Thank you!!! I got some heat coming.
Great video! Can you explain more about transitions? Do you take things away or change the loop up (like a break for example)? Cheers 🎧
Yes. Just take things away. Or add things You can drop a sound effect right before the change up. Removing drums or samples before the next 4 bars. It’s really up to you.

You always seem to be working on a video that is relevant to my struggles. lol
What are your thoughts about the mastering process 2ill? Is it necessary for quality tracks?

Hi Sarah,do you do all the stuff in maschine?like mixing and mastering?
Yes
ayeee!
i usually use fruity love filter & gross beat for efx, i could use some recommendations for new ones
Shaperbox by cableguys
Also add ugly war music (dissonance) to create offset from beautiful peace.

What a shame things in the US are going so bad on so many levels. I feel with you.
If your soul loves the sun, money rock on.
Check you out, just schoolin' us and feeding us cake.
With my (3rd grader) baby boy voice: "Thank you for the dessert (teacher) Ms. Sarah2ill."
