Ya know in the latest patch at 2:53:57 when Calgary says “Rise son of Guilliman” that was changed due to a mistake when making the game. But it was changed to be said by “Voice” which has lead people to think that it’s the Emperor and that’s how Titus has been able to withstand the corruption of chaos. I think it’s a neat theory, what do you think?
9:01 Fun fact about the lore: While The Emperor is stated to be a powerful psychic, and claims to have been born sometime in ancient history, before year 0, he is not in fact Jesus Christ, but he IS heavily implied to have been one of his Disciples, likely before The Emperor became as repulsed by the idea of Divinity as he was at the start of The Unification Wars.

Leandros should have been demoted back to scout. He snitched to the inquisition while according to the Codex he should have reported Titus to a Chaplain of the chapter.
He mightve been but remember he's also one of the oldest members of the chapter, like leandros is 100+ years old, as is acheran (shown by the 2 gold service studs). He could've made his way from scout to chaplain in that time, considering acheran and Titus went from recruit to captain of the 2nd company in the same time period. Like a space marine who has that much continuous service is going to have a special rank of some description, whether it's an officer or an adjacent.
I think it would be interesting to explore corruption within the ultramarines in the future here. They are already known to be the perfect Boy Scout chapter (besides how cool they are in 30k) so actually exploring some flaws would be welcome and make them far more interesting.
TRUE! Holy fuck I hadn't even considered that haha. And considering Titus is well known by the Chapter Master why is Leandros not punished but raised to the position of a chaplain? Especially considering he goes against what the Chapter Master believes about the codex.

Warhammer 40K is an absolutely massive, over the top, ridiculous universe that is definitely not for everyone. With that said I think it's a perfect universe for Charlie to dive into.
If the Emperor dies, besides being a psychic god, the Golden Throne will essentially collapse and a rift to the Warp will open allowing daemons to overrun Earth.
Yes but the corrupted webway that’s being forced closed on Terra would claw itself open subjecting earth to a complete demonic invasion not seen since the Horus Heresy
The Horus Heresy already kind of hints at this when he started drinking too deeply from the Warp during his battle with Horus, wherein he started becoming the fifth Chaos God, aka the Dark King, and husking the people around him as his light spread to every reality and world in creation before he managed to stop himself. I think because of Malcador iirc. Basically nothing good happens if he joins the Warp, at least not according to the author of those books. He essentially becomes the sphere at the center of Chaos' symbol, the one all the other arrows or Gods in it are running from.
@@am-ranth8955Mostly right, but from what I recall it was Ollanius Pius, not Malcador. And yeah, I think it's implied that if he becomes the Dark King then he would wind up essentially consuming all of reality including the Chaos Gods.
@@am-ranth8955 They have also been feeding him so SOOO many psykers... They are creating a god in the warp. That is where the lore is going i am 100% sure of it. I think he will become the god of human purity... In a way the worst of them all. As no human can ever be that pure and everyone will suffer because of it in trying to be perfectly pure. It would be the death of human free will. There is hope. It is not going to be a situation like Slaanesh as it is a human who will ascend. The emperor's own personality and love for actual humanity with all it's flaws... Could be the thing keeping worst scenario at bay...The creation of a god worse that all 4 chaos gods combined. Even the Eldar are scared of that scenario. I am really looking forward to that development in the lore. The empire needs a big boost beyond the Primarchs coming back to even have a tiny shred of hope vs the awakening Necrons who collect gods more powerful than anything in warp like Pokemon... There is also the Nids who literally eat warp, demons, gods and material things alike... They have only shown a fraction of what they are capable of... None has yet to even talk to a sapient nid like the Norn queens...Or even interacted in anyway with the hive mind. They feel so above everything else except the Necrons. Even the Tau with their tiny souls are getting a god representing them For better or for worse we don't know yet.
This feels like a game that came from the ashes of what made gaming in the early 2000s so damn good. A game where you get so engrossed in the story, the setting, the characters, with a pretty nice pay off and ending that manages to keep you hyped for the potential of DLC or a sequel, and then leads into just more content via coop PvE or some fun PvP. I mean Halo very much started that way. Amazing story and campaign with a nice little bonus multiplayer that ends up getting about the same traction as the main story. Not sure if the multiplayer will boom in this game like Halo (likely not) but still, this is how I remember my video games and I'm so glad there's a few developers remaining that understands this.
The pre-rendered cutscenes in this game are really making me itch for that movie and series of his. Amazon needs to get their shit together, this is a goldmine.
@@DroolingDrilling I agree. A lot of people now don't like games with that grey colorless atmospheric theme, like old COD or Gears, but I love it. Even more so than current colorful graphics for shooters. It just fits better.

And? Space marines need time off too you know. While being able to fight for days without little rest there are still limits to how much a space marine can operate without rest. @@MNM-lq9teit's implied that they're about to go, or just returned from a mission You can even overhear an astartes talk to a serf regarding the condition of his armor
playing with friends, there's so much cool little details they added in. Especially when there were dialogues exclusive to the characters we were playing, so when Imurah was speaking to Titus whom my friend was playing, I could not hear it at all. Each one of us got caught in the empty black domain thing and you'll see them disappear whilst still fighting in real time in said domain. Man they cooked with this game.
It’s bland, inoffensive and boring so you’re not wrong, but anyone with more brain cells than the average nematode needs more of an objective than just mindlessly killing monsters.
The attention to detail in this game is insane, even down to only a handful of the thousand sons having their bodies and all their power still with the sorcerers
1:57:54 that’s insane this means Chairon is 10000 years old and is apart of the first batch of Primaris marines that were created by Cawl and put in stasis for 10k years after the death of Guilliman
*Charlie sees a dreadnaught* “When do I get to operate that?” Oh, you know, when you’ve received such a devastating wound that only your brain remains functioning so you have to be entombed in a semi-sentient war machine that constantly hurts you and fills you with rage at the enemy.
1:41:08 is absolutely one of the highlights of this video, watching a Tyranid Warrior getting chainsawed then punted into a pipe is so amazingly cinematic.
I'm torn between this as my GOTY and black myth wukong. I wonder which one will win it officially too, or whether it'll go to another game. Monke vs for the Emperor
As a die hard warhammer fan, I think it’s still probably Wukong. Space Marine 2 is a wonderful game but the performance issues, anti-epic review bombers and critical receptions effect it too much. It might win some things in the Game Award though.
*So for those who watched the video* and thought it was unfair for Leandros to become a Chaplain, even after a hundred years, know this: Chaplains are dicks in lore, all of them, they're the odd ones of the Chapter, they can't fit into the brotherhood, and they are extremely fanatic/zealous, they're further indoctrinated by the Chaplaincy once they begin their training as Judiciars. Leandros took the Codex very seriously and almost religiously in the first game, he was ever suspiscious, stubborn and watchful of Titus, which are all qualities almost every Chaplain possess and needs to have, and another reason they don't fit into the brotherhood, for they never fully trust their brothers, and neither does their brothers trust them before they become a Chaplain. Him becoming a Chaplain could also be seen as a form of punishment, he's taken away from the battle and away from the other Battle-Brothers, serving only as an image of what the Chapter represents and a role model for the fellow Marines "below" him.
Exactly! It makes a lot of sense he is a chaplain. What you say is true, however it's worth noting that Chaplains roles change depending on the Chapter, a Black Templar chaplain for example absolutely fits with everyone else being important warriors and leaders. Because BT are super zelaous. Blood Angels are there to deal mostly with Death Company matters as well as their usual duties.
@@runamuck840 All Chapters treat their Chaplains with the utmost respect and regard, they are very high ranking officers at the end of the day and are responsible for maintaining the spirit and mental health of an Astartes.

This game itself is an example of true dedication from a hardcore fan-base!
Fans of 40k and the OG Space Marine got this game made and it’s a miracle it is as amazing as it is!
Truly worth every year, month, hour, and min of the wait!!
Praise the Emperor!!
Warhammer 40K is an absolutely massive, over the top, ridiculous universe that is definitely not for everyone. With that said I think it's a perfect universe for Charlie to dive into.
That pillar throw from the dread summed up the universe, and everyone loves it.
If the Emperor dies, besides being a psychic god, the Golden Throne will essentially collapse and a rift to the Warp will open allowing daemons to overrun Earth.
but if the Emperors soul becomes part of the warp, what is going to happen to it. Big E could even be reborn.
The only thing I was left wanting was even a quick glimpse of Guilliman.
That's third game stuff lad
@@jorgeclarkson8286 God it's gonna be good.
2:53:56 the devs fixed the dialogue. It was the Emperor who said that. So fucking cool

If you want the lore, the hours you sit through just to have a fraction of it. All you need to know is war. War is all we know in the grim dark.
and even the imperium's administratum bureaucracy clerics does war everyday, against endless tyranid-like tides of paperworks. just one wrong typo, they could be executed for heresy. because that typo could lead to some part of imperium armies' desperately needed logistic supply ships being uber sent to the wrong direction in the galaxy...

And? Space marines need time off too you know.
While being able to fight for days without little rest there are still limits to how much a space marine can operate without rest. And i'm sure there are some rules in the codex that states how long a space marine can operate in battle before needing rest.

Especially when there were dialogues exclusive to the characters we were playing, so when Imurah was speaking to Titus whom my friend was playing, I could not hear it at all.
2:25:16 I love how Tharius replied so nonchalantly that would otherwise make anyone scream.
*So for those who watched the video* and thought it was unfair for Leandros to become a Chaplain, even after a hundred years, know this:
Chaplains are dicks in lore, all of them, they're the odd ones of the Chapter, they can't fit into the brotherhood, and they are extremely fanatic/zealous, they're further indoctrinated by the Chaplaincy once they begin their training as Judiciars.
What about the dark angels? I thought they treated them like swifties treat Taylor swift
@@runamuck840 All Chapters treat their Chaplains with the utmost respect and regard, they are very high ranking officers at the end of the day and are responsible for maintaining the spirit and mental health of an Astartes.
@@jorgeclarkson8286TBF even in BT who are one of the few truly Religious Chapters it can be seen as a bit of a Punishment post too as Chaplains in BT are suppose to be Exemplars of the Black Templar's Values,
