I just saw them a week ago in Clearwater FL, what a show! The previous Saturday they rehearsed in the next studio over from my band, and we met their sound guy before they showed up! I had the pleasure of meeting Adam on his way in! Two of us from my band sat at the sound board all night with Robi! Pleasantly surprised with them 45 years later, fantastic show and incredible light show!
Underrated guitarist absolutely. Cleanest sounding Stratocaster, sounds like open tuning on this song. They wore this song out on FM radio in 1983, was working in a sheet metal shop -- takes me back instantly.
The “problem” was that the ‘70’s & ‘80’s yielded so much great music that great bands like this one, City Boy, Be Bop Deluxe, Camel et al didn’t get the fame and recognition they deserved.
My word is all I can say...still incredible after 30 plus years?!? Cy Curnin...always loved his unique voice and vocalizations. Saw them twice in the 80's in concert, as the opening act, and they were the only reason I went to the concert.

I wish I had been old enough to go to one of their shows when I was listening to them on the radio back then. But damn, they still sound as good as they did back then. Fantastic song by a very underrated group. Many (myself included) initially thought the meaning of the song had to do with the old mariners saying; "Red skies at night, sailors delight, red skies at morn, sailors take warn. Turns out that is not so. Since this song was written during the "Cold War," the song is about the aftermath of a nuclear fall out (per Cy Curnin). He went on to say the following: "I was feeling that sense of impotence back then in the early '80s or late '70s when Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher were getting in bed together, metaphorically speaking, and designing a whole defense system that involved Europeans' lives without asking us - it was never on any electorate ballot that I can remember." Interesting, but not surprising given the time frame it was written. It was a crazy time back then, but at least it helped produce some amazing music by some great artists.
