Fun fact, if you you have 2 speakers, you can try moving them around, at certain distances and at certain locations, the waves line up so that they mostly cancel each other out. Especially noticeable with one ear covered.
As a test signal nowadays can use a phone to play mp3 songs or live/web radio stations or connect anything.Those years the test signal was the only solution until the mids 2000 because wasn't available every time a cd player or a tuner of a customer that brought them for repair to test a repaired amplifier.

I don't have an oscilloscope, unfortunatelly. My understanding (and doubt) is that, applying this video 1kHz tone - via my DAC's RCA out, through my DMM - I can read 9.8mV (DC), or 2V (AC) by just switching the multimeter selector, but I don't know which value is really needed, if 10mVrms DC or 10mVrms AC, to set the bias. Since a "sine" implies an AC form, my doubts.

I have downloaded and checked. The loudness is -12dB, that's due to UA-cam adjustments and it seems there's nothing we can do about it. If you need a reliable test tone then I'd suggest using tone generators on phones or websites.

If it seems to disappear or sounds 'filtered' - you could try taking this audio clip and delaying it by small amounts to see if you can cancel out some of the internal noise or influence it. If you want me to make a free program to do it I can
