This is kind of a really terrible team. Rattata is visually useless and both it and clafairy aren’t iconic ash Pokemon. A better team would be Charizard- it’s iconic Gengar - is a really good Pokémon Pikachu- duh Tauros- it’s actually a pretty good Pokémon Pigeot- ash always has a flying type, it’s his thing Lapras - it was an awesome Pokémon Honorable mentions Mankey and snorlax

Don’t forget he would also have a beedrill, since he was very close to catching a weedle in that samurai episode.
He also captured one in the Bug Catching contest in Johto, the same region he caught a Seaking.
If he evolved it in to raticate he wouldve released it in to the wild like he always does.

The picks make sense, but Ash's pokemon don't always fully evolve. So rattata and haunter would probably stay the same
