Nicely done! I watched a few videos, and I saw some pros do it in like 4 hours. And you couldn't even see what they were doing. This is a good video. Thanks bro I'll be doing mine right now 👍👍
Just tackled this. It's a beast. I'm an ASE master and wouldn't suggest this for just anyone. I ended up using my endoscope camera to get the new one back in, but it required alot of patience. Don't undercut yourself on hours for this one. And definitely don't unplug the connector prior to removal. Or try to install without connector connected. If you drop anything your f#$%ed.
What symptoms did your 3.5 eco boost have that prompted you to change the crank sensor? Any check engine lights? My engine has a dip in the idle speed every few seconds.
A common issue is a random JOLT whilst driving, almost like a downshift or like you ran over a rolled up carpet on the freeway.. not sure if it’s related, but my cylinder 6 has an INSANE amount of misfires after checking my Mode6 data - but it’s never thrown a code. About to swap my crankshaft sensor and inspect ALL of my spark plugs/coils/injectors.
@@moose2934 Hello, did you fix it changing the crank sensor? i´m also having misfires while accelerating, first i thught it was transmition but i´m thinking bout this crank sensor.
@@dhedokT Yes, it simply fixed my no-start. Vacuum leaks, clogged fuel filters (inside the top of gas tank), spark plug replacements, cleaning your fuel injectors in a cheap-ultrasonic cleaner, new coil packs, and even addressing a rich/lean fuel mixture (mine is fixed, but is STILL running rich) will usually fix the issues. The 3.5Ls are problematic, but I named the fixes in order of precedence for that WORKED FOR ME at least.
@@pintosautoymotosfix yes cam sensors are fine. While cranking, tachometer does not move showing it had no signal to it. Could the tone wheel on the flywheel be causing the issue?
@@pintosautoymotosfix just removed the heat wrap on the wiring harness for the ckps and found the wires to be melted. Repaired wires and now the truck starts. Thanks for the help either way.

So let’s say I dropped it. What do i do? 😂
It almost seems faster just to drop the short shaft and transmission LOL
I have an fx4 . Can't even get my hand in there. Great video. I at least have a chance to see what angle to takle it.
Whats the most common promble 2012 f150no crank no start new battery new starter

Same location as a 2014 mustang 3.7l
wow man that takes patience
I know, but is possible right?
@@pintosautoymotosfix right I'm doing it today. I will leave it plugged in so I don't lose it
Good grief, why oh why do they design this stuff like that? Good job bud, thanks.
Ke año es ese pikup??
Donde madres esta ubicado ese sensor?
Sale de la parte de la transmission. Salen los cables hacia arriba en una parte del motor
What all needed to be removed to get to this? Did you have to remove the turbo?
Just go under the car, on the driver side, where the front drive shaft for the 4x4 is……
Quitate los mendigos guantes, para que sea más cómodo y fácil.
Did you access the sensor from underneath the truck or through the side?
From underneath
Q año es esa camioneta ??
2012 and up

There was a code, and some time wasn’t possible starting, just crank

@dhedokT yes, the crank sensor and 1 foot of the wire harness….

Did you take a look to the cam sensors? If yes, so you have to make sure if there is no issues with the timing chain...
