Have not really taken much notice of Hoya till just recently, I’ve got a couple and trying really hard not to get anymore lol. Did not realise you had so many in your collection. The Wilbur Graves is 🔥
Beautiful Hoyas! 11:00 I just saw a video (I can’t remember who did it) about the less foliage issue when the plant is trailing. She said to attach the vine as it’s climbing, then once it reaches the top let it free grow until it’s long enough to start it at the bottom growing upward again. If I find the video I’ll let you know. Edit: it was Unsolicited Plant Talks, the vid on Hoya trellising
Beautiful hoya collection😍, they all seem to be happy with your care😁. The villosa looks to be a Globulosa WMZ and regarding trellising hoya and the new growth stopping please look up unsolicited plant talk in youtube and her guide in trellising hoya to ensure they dont stop growing. Main tip being- dont point your vine downwards😬
The hoya collection is growing 😁BTW the unknown hoyas are Hoya Rosita & Hoya lanceolata Bella. Plus you kept the Rintzii Borneo quiet🤨 I've heard it can be a bit of a tricky one to keep happy, so it'll be interesting to follow your experience of growing it. Hope you had a fab holiday. And keep that collection growing 😊
You're a star! Thank you! Haha! I didn't want to say anything until it starting growing but it has a few new leaves on the way. I will keep you in mind
Beautiful collection! For me, when i wrap them around the trellis, it take them a long time, but they do eventually resume the growth, from the nodes that are now better exposed to light (the top ones and the ones of the sides).
Thank you! I wish I could grow them all up a trellis however I am limited on space. My dream is to one day have a plant room where they can all grow wild haha! 😂
Hi! You have happy, healthy n beautiful Hoyas! I'm most excited to see your most beautiful Wilbur Graves. Should you decide to sell some cuttings of it , I'd be happy to get one or two. Thanks for sharing the video of your Hoyas with us!
Thank you so much! I will start selling plants in the late spring/summer so do keep an eye on my eBay (link in the description) if you are based in the UK
Your hoya are absolutely gorgeous!!!! Mine are all teensie weensie. I decide the “more for your money” approach and bought a bunch of cuttings. Hopefully in a few YEARS mine will be as impressive as yours!
One of your unknown hoya is Hoya Lanceolata Bella (the long one). I don’t know the other cause I couldn’t see it properly to identify. Your Parasitica black margin needs repotting that’s why it needs water often btw 👍🏻 happy growing, they’re all beautiful ☺️
Beautiful collection! 😍 Did you know hoya like to be wound counter-clockwise? if you wind the vine clockwise it will slow growth. No idea why, but just a tidbit for you! Love your videos!
I love your personality and presentation. You picked all of my favorite Hoyas and I really enjoyed this video. I hope to see future hoya videos from you. Your accent is so beautiful
Yay! A hoya episode! Hoyas do take up a lot of room-I have had to get a new IKEA cabinet for all of the tiny cuttings that are now monsters. 😂 Enjoyed this video, thank you!
If you grow in leca, drill a hole one fourth up from the bottom that wayyou can'toverwater it, and flush it under the tap from time to time, that really helped me. and I never have to worry about over- or underwatering. Love some of the hoya's, especially the splashy resilient one and I'm not a big hoya fan.
Kringle 8 is on my list. I have a 2 left cutting of Wilber Graves Russia. I hope it does as well as yours. I also have Wilber 8 China. It is not as splashy. My Mathilde is a favorite. Your collection is lovely.
Thank you! Great point, I have found the same thing. Unfortunately for me, sometimes the tendril get really long before a new leaf emerges so I have to trellis them earlier that I would like to
Regarding the tendrils that seem to stop growing after wrapping it around the trellis, I heard someone who sells hoya say to let the tendril at the end just be free until the leaves fully form and then wrap it around
I don’t trellis my Hoyas until the end dries off then I would trellis it. My experience is that it stop growing leaves if I put it on a trellis. Great video!!!
Hi, new subscriber here. Enjoyed this Video so now I'm going to watch your others. QUESTION: why do you put that circular wire around plant?. Thanks dear
Hi there! A warm welcome to you! The wire acts as a trellis to contain the plant otherwise it would grow out wildly. When properly trellised, it can also encourage the plant to grow bigger and more leaves
@@RootsReady thank you. Just purchase some Wilbur Graves cuttings because of your video. Yours is beautiful breathtaking. Wish me luck, it's my first. Can you stir me in what good mixture to grow in. Not to costly just a beginner. Dyna gro 9 3 6 and clay balls ??. Thanks
I've heard that hoya won't grow leaves when the vine is in a downward direction. From my experience, it seems to be true. My Mathilde is doing this now. Also, the long vine that just bloomed...the one that you couldn't remember the name is 'bella'
Ya Hoya isn’t my genus, but I love that they’re such solid plants. Easy to care for and so rewarding with the foliage. I have an Australis and Linearis, and on my wishlist is multiflora. I’d like a silvery one, don’t really care what kind. Literally just restaked my australis-it’s an absolute mess 😂 but I love how bushy and wild it is, it’s only like two loooooong stalks. Edit: omg I’ve never heard of clemensiorum and now it’s on my wishlist. Wowza!
Hi there, I quit enjoyed your episode, I love you Wilbur Graves it’s nice splashy, by chance is it possible that I have one cutting, I’m living in London too, I appreciate all, Ben
Thank you for making my Hoya wishlist even longer 😅
Wilbur Graves 😍😍
🤣 Any time!
Sssrbp
me too!!
Have not really taken much notice of Hoya till just recently, I’ve got a couple and trying really hard not to get anymore lol.
Did not realise you had so many in your collection. The Wilbur Graves is 🔥
Thank you! It took me a while to get into Hoya and then it snowballed
Love the Wilbur graves!!! By the way seeing a previous video of your Hoya Villosa made me go out and order one. It is my favorite to this day 😊
Haha! I love to hear it! How is it doing now?
I love your Wilber Graves, absolutely stunning. ♥
You got a great specimen!
Thank you so much!
Hey IME it’s best to let the leaves come in b4 wrapping. If u wrap b4 the leaves comes in the vine goes dormant. Just in my experience. ✌🏾🌿
Thank you for that! I just hope I don't run out of space before they leaves are ready lol!
Beautiful Hoyas!

Thank you for sharing! I am going to watch this now as others have suggested this same video. Thank you again!!
Yes, I've gotten same thing of once I wrap it on trellis, I only get a bumpy stock left.
Others have suggested you only trellis the plant once the leaves have come through and leave the tendril to hang freely
Thanks for this. It was really helpful and will only help me to improve my Hoya game! Watch this space ha!

Excellent observation regarding the la k of leaves if it grips in a circle, maybe it will produce flowers
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed
wow! amazing hoya collection ❤❤
Many many thanks
Your Hoyas are thriving; thanks for sharing!
So nice of you
Very happy hoyus and beautifull .
Luv hoyus . Wow.

Your hoya are absolutely gorgeous!!!! Mine are all teensie weensie. I decide the “more for your money” approach and bought a bunch of cuttings. Hopefully in a few YEARS mine will be as impressive as yours!
I don't think you will have to wait too long. The oldest Hoya in my collection is under 2 years old and most started as cuttings
Thank you.
You are most welcome
You have a great Hoya collection 😮
Thank you so much! x
Thank you for that! I couldn't for the life of me remember the name lol!
Wow! Your collection is amazing!!
Thank you so much!
Beautiful collection! 😍 Did you know hoya like to be wound counter-clockwise? if you wind the vine clockwise it will slow growth. No idea why, but just a tidbit for you! Love your videos!
Very interesting! I did not know that. Thanks for sharing
Your WG is beautiful. Rintzii Borneo will get neon green margins in high light. *chef’s kiss*
Neon green?! I can't wait to see it
Your excitement makes me excited! 😆 great video!

Your hoyas are stunning.😊😊
Thank you! 😊
Gorgeous plants! I love the big veiny leaves as well ❤
They are some of my favourites!
Yay! A hoya episode! Hoyas do take up a lot of room-I have had to get a new IKEA cabinet for all of the tiny cuttings that are now monsters. 😂 Enjoyed this video, thank you!
Great idea!! I may have to do the same very soon 😂😂
Hoya is the rabbit hole :-) You have a nice collection!
Tell me about it 🤣. I started with one and look at me now
This was a great video and I learned a lot! Thank you
Glad it was helpful!

I am so glad that I have had no issues with mine. I have also done this with my Phuwuaensis
Kringle 8 is on my list. I have a 2 left cutting of Wilber Graves Russia. I hope it does as well as yours. I also have Wilber 8 China. It is not as splashy. My Mathilde is a favorite. Your collection is lovely.
It's sounds like a lovely collection!
Love the video yes i have found if u let them geow the leaves 1st then trellis is helps
Thank you! Great point, I have found the same thing. Unfortunately for me, sometimes the tendril get really long before a new leaf emerges so I have to trellis them earlier that I would like to
The hoya kerri is the most beautiful hoya I have ever seen and is on my wishlist .
It's a lovely plant. Unfortunately I only ever see it selling as a rooted leaf, which will never grow into a full plant
Hello Lithius from Puerto Rico!!! Beautiful hoyas!! Ive got several. Tip: wrap vine counter clockwise…its natural direction. 🪴
Top tip! Thank you so much!
Regarding the tendrils that seem to stop growing after wrapping it around the trellis, I heard someone who sells hoya say to let the tendril at the end just be free until the leaves fully form and then wrap it around
Thank you for that! I always try to let them grow out any sometime run out of space. But with this knowledge I will let leaves fully harden off first
@RootsReady I hope it helps. I, too, couldn't understand what was happening! Lol.
Love how passionate you are about your Hoyas. I am a fellow Hoya head dreaming of more space😊
I love it!
This is a very impressive collection 👏🏾
Thanks a million!
I don’t trellis my Hoyas until the end dries off then I would trellis it. My experience is that it stop growing leaves if I put it on a trellis. Great video!!!
Thanks for the tip!
نبات الهويا روعة وأنواعه مختلفة وجميلة شكرا على الفيديو
Thank you 😊
Please make another video on hoya care
I will add it to the content list. Thank you

New subscriber - thanks for the vid! Can you please recommend a ultra resilient, impossible to kill hanging plant for a beginner plant person?
Hi there! Thanks for subscribing! I would remember the Hoya Krinkle 8 as seen in this video. It is my most resilient hanging plant to date
Dont know if you know but hoyas grow anticlockwise in the wild , so when u wrap it round the trellis do it anticlockwise. 😊
Thank you, I have heard about this and try to do this when training my hoyas
I really enjoyed this video. Would you leave the names of the plants for a longer time, so I can cement the name in my mind?
I have a growing number of plants in my collection. It would be hard to remember the exact name of all of them without a little prompt lol
Where did u get ur hoya wilbur graves i want to buy a cutting of it one if my wishlist
I got mine in a plant swap. If you're based in the UK you can check out my eBay (linked in the description) for cuttings
Is their fragrances that I like
This one hadn't bloomed for me get

Hi There, Please see the eBay link in the description where I occasionally post plants on there
dude your krinkle 8 is massive! and the wilbury graves is stunning! we should do a hoya swap… just saying! 😂
Haha! I am always up for a swap. Drop me a line instagram if you are based in the UK
I cant believe you taste the sap of your hoya...alarms went off in my head..😂😂
🤣🤣 I risked it so you don't have to! It tasted sweet!
The pruned cuttings leave them out in nature for continuous growth please
To make the balanced growth turn the bear side to the sun
Great tip. Thank you!
You are a “recycler” for the good of your plants💚
🪴Happy Planting 🌿
You're kind! Thank you so much!
Do you know if your Wilbert grave is china or Russia?
Excellent question and I have no idea 🤣 I am only just now learning that there are two types
🦾🪴👌🏽
Thank you!
