What a great family!!! You and Charli should be very proud of what you’ve created, and the life and example you’re giving your kids. Respect to both of you. Hold on tight to those precious times, even when the runs are a grind……
I cannot wait for the moment that I am able to go out on a family run/bike! And when you said "are those more chickens!? No, just the toys you left outside" 🤣 lmao
i tried on the brooks and i agree, hands down the comfiest shoe on the market right now. balos is close but these new brooks just have that next level comfort.
came here for ur reviews, but I really love seeing u cook and meal prep. it inspires me to do meal prep for myself too, and I would love to see u prep more simple-easy-to-make at home foods. It's so challenging getting up to cook and make meals for my runs after my 7am uni classes haha.
The bonding you're doing with the kids is priceless. Also, more of the Glycerin Max, please. I'll be wanting something really comfortable within the next 6 months, when the Neo Vistas go to Valhalla.
Love the delicious (and nutritious!) post run meals and heartwarming fam run!! SO cute! ☺️ The introspective post run reflecting is also so real of you. The relatable and insightful content we need. 🙌 This really helped me pull through my 18 miler on the treadmill today. First run in the On Cloudboom Strike. While the crazy long, glittery sandpaper shoe laces were a bit of a strugglefest lol, the shoes felt fun, smooth and decently bouncy, and the resilient hobby jogger mentality kept me going. Thanks again for recommending this shoe!
Endure by Alex Hutchinson is FANTASTIC and talks a lot about how mindset affects capacity/performance if you haven't read it yet! Highly recommend! I'm listening to audiobook on E/L runs currently
Check out Jason Koop’s book Training Essentials for Ultrarunning. He explains the science better than most with some really great info graphics. And lots of info on the mental side of distance running. Sure it’s for ultra running, but most of it applies to general endurance training.
Yowana, if you're not failing, you're not progressing. Thanks for showing us what progressive struggle looks like, especially at your level in running. I'm sure that slug wanted to make it to the kitchen faster than he didn't. I'm also sure Charlie made sure of that! Curious, I got the Coros Pace 3 too, are you utilizing the dual frequency on the Satellite System 'Mode"? It increases the battery consumption, but the mode might give you better tracking, especially with weather like that. I'm curious if the time deviation between the two modes would have closed the gap.
I appreciate it! Also I'm not sure about the watching setting - I haven't changed much since I bought it so it's likely on the standard factory setting

I’m using and LOVE Daniel’s too! Have you followed his Gold Elite plan? I just started with that now, and was planning to follow it up with the Q2 to train for my first marathon. Current mileage is around 60/week
Could you do a video explaining how your program your workouts into your Coros if you do? I'm having trouble figuring all the features out so have just been sticking to Basic mode
I think the alphafly 3 is the first shoe I disagree with you on. I’m in the 4 hour marathon range and even on a 20 mile long run the alphafly has been very comfortable. It might just have the perfect rocker for my size and stride but I didn’t get the too aggressive feel like I’ve got with other shoes
I saw a video you made long time ago mentioning Pete Pfitzinger´s Advanced Marathoning as your favorite running book, but now you mention Daniels for high Mileage and Hanson's for lower mileage. Have your preferences change?
I think you do deserve a break for environmental factors. If your goal is easy enough that hills, wind, rain, and level of recovery are non factors in your achievement…it may not be an ambitious enough goal. You do set ambitious goals and when you do that, there is a chance the environmental factors won’t be optimized on race day or a particular workout day. That’s why we always have other races and other workouts to look forward to.
grip was solid - i definitely was not sliding around. the ride of the shoe is just missing that last special 5% that the cloudboom strike, endorphin elite and alphafly have for me
Hahahah get the skyward x back 😂 but yeah I'm liking the glycerin max more than the magmax so far. Planning to get the glycerin max up to 50 or 100 miles soon to do another update

Great suggestion - I'll check that one out
Organize some shake out on Friday 11.10 in Chicago
Ya gotta do workouts in these conditions cuz you never know what race conditions will be!
Running in rain is tough. So it might be difficult to hit your paces in Speed workout during a rain.

Is the Puma higher on the Chicago list now? I think it might be a good call. But I should stand with my original idea:
Race in the On.
Chicago may have rain and isn't it still the best grip?

the shoe's probably not as fast as you want it to be.
