FIGHTING through the traffic - Nürburgring Nordschleife motorbike - 2002 Triumph Daytona 955i

This time I took my Triumph daytona 955i (595n) to "Touristenfahrten" (10.05.2024) at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
It was a very busy day and it was hard to find a good line...
But it was still fun as always.
The "big" Daytona is hardly known anymore.
Is it a real super sports bike? I would say yes, but you can tell from riding it that it's not at the level of an R1 or GSXR etc. from that era. It tends to be a little bit unstable at higher speeds due to its steering head angle and low trail. The gearbox is also somewhat imprecise. And I had serious trouble with my boots in corners because of the "wide" foot pegs (also a matter of body positioning for sure).
Nevertheless, you can go faster on this bike than most people would expect (most people probably think it's a sports tourer). And I LOVE the specific triumph triple sound! One of the biggest pros of this bike.

Great soundtrack and what a surprise! You certainly have an eclectic (read great) selection of bikes my friend. I’d hazard a guess and say that you have modified suspensions, and perhaps brakes. You also seem to have QS there. Pleasure to watch as always. Be safe…

I own a 2005 ... in no way is the Daytona 955.. standard NON USD forks and all a slouch whether road going or track... solid 150mph .. a must underrated sportbike ... and that triple howl induction.. like no other.. Thankyou for representing the Daytona 955 owners everywhere ..
