2007 ZX-10R vs. quick BMW train - Nürburgring Nordschleife motorbike - TEST LAP - (yellow flag)

Another Test Lap (6th lap in total) with my 2007 Kawasaki ZX10R (Touristenfahrten 01.05.2024).
it is still an adjustment with the 1000cc superbike compared to my older and slower bikes, but I really enjoy the new experience!
Had a nice ride with some BMWs at the beginning. Unfortunately a yellow flag from "Wippermann" to "Eiskurve".
But the lap was awesome anyway :)

Nordschleife Life.....my dream Is ....only me and some squirrel in the forest....the perfect lap...

You can find those conditions sometimes in the week or early in the morning at weekend :) ....I will drive mostly in this time windows because of low traffic and also significant less risk of oil/coolant-spills (the nightmare and "sword of Damocles" for every bike rider there....)
But sometimes it is also funny/exciting with some (quick) traffic like in this case. I love those bike vs car situations!

👋👍Klasse, sah von meinem bequemen Sessel aus betrachtet, fahrwerkstechnisch harmonischer aus - oder täusche ich mich. Das Umbauen meiner Maschinen und das anschließende Überprüfen, brachte mir immer genauso viel Freude wie das Fahren selbst. Insbesondere wenn der eingeschlagene Weg der Richtige war.

Kann sein, dass es daran lag dass das Fahrwerk zu diesem Zeitpunkt auf "Temperatur" war. Habe an dem Tag vor Ort nix geändert (aber danach).

Zx10 sind zornige Biester. Ich hatte die 04er, Leistung war mehr als ausreichend.
Schön zu sehen, dass sie artgerecht gehalten wird. Sitzen bleiben 👍🏽

die 2007er ZX-10R ist nicht mit der 04er vergleichbar. 2007er fährt sich stabil und sehr kontrollierbar, das ist kein Biest, eher eine Waffe. Die 2004er ist agiler und eher ruppig, die ist in der Tat etwas tricky zu fahren und auf der Rennstrecke extrem anstrengend.

@@shavy9655 Immer wieder beeindruckend, wenn +200 Km/h hochgeschaltet wird wie stark die noch beschleunigt.
Wenn der RGV die Gänge ausgehen feuert die noch richtig los.

You definitely seemed more comfortable this time. It’s amazing to see that a nearly two decade old superbike is soo fast. I also love the color scheme of your bike, is that standard?

imho since ~2005, progress in motorcycle technology has been particularly in the area of assistance systems. Chassis, engine, suspension etc. were already at a very high level back then. Motorcycles like the ZX-10R or GSX-R 1000 from that time are still no joke today...! the current BTG world record was set with an (modified) R1 RN12 I think
Color scheme is not standard. It is an "cheap" aftermarket fairing. I changed it just for the case of crash.

​@@NBR_SKYes, the RN12 is as fast as a motorcycle needs to be for the Nordschleife. The RN12 by many people is considered even better than the RN19 since it has a superior throttle controlability and responsiveness. Brakes and Suspension are great too with the right brake-pads and a good setup.
