A few days ago I was in WA state near Seattle, today I am in South Carolina, near Charleston. I never thought of using the bottom of my air fryer to cook sauces and I loved the cheesy cauliflower. I have a dual Ninja so I can cook different things at different times which is great. I just used parchment boats to bake hemp seed, oatmeal, and nut bars which I cut in squares to make "cookies." I've been cooking for over 65 years and when the dried spaghetti didn't fit in the pot, I took a little at a time and broke it in half. I'm sure you were "funning" with us when you used the scissors. You have some great ideas. Thanks for sharing.
Little known fact: The fan in a basket / bucket style air fryer *pulls* the air *up* and it flows *down the sides* and under the food and back up. This is why you need to make sure you don't block the air holes... definitely along the sides. The browning on the top of the foods comes from radiant heat from the coils, not the airflow.
yep. you can bake the whole pie if you shape the pie to leave at least a half inch gap around the sides, put it on the rack so its not resting on the bottom of the bucket, and use some foil as a frame to hold the pie upright. he's honestly lucky that pie cooked through
East coast Canadian here. I admire your enthusiasm for air fryer cooking, and this was a lot of fun to watch. But I can honestly say i will be cooking all of these dishes in the more traditional fashion!
I have gone big oven and cooker free for over 10 years now. I use my Convection oven/air fryer, microwave and pressure cooker for all my meal needs. I have made all those recipes (except the cookies) in my convection oven which is bigger than all the air fryers. You featured the round glass convection oven I use in a prior video. I save power and time, as all of the equipment has timers. I haven't burn or overcooked a meal in years. I'm from Australia and love watching you enjoy what you make in your air fryer.
I'm sorry, it might be that English isn't my first language, but I fail to understand that combination of words; "too much pizza". Sound like a bunch of gibberish to me... 😜
ive been making apple crumble, plum crumble, apricot crumble and rhhubarb crumble in mine... easy to make but i have to cook the fruit first then add the crumble on top and cook.
Barry, as you asked, I'm from Montevideo, Uruguay! 🇺🇾 The country where the Fray Bentos pies were invented (sorry about that! Lol). My British partner introduced me to your videos and now we watch them together and we love to recreate some of your recipes ❤
I liked the idea of the cookie dough. Make ahead of time and shape into balls and freeze. Then take out a couple of the frozen balls and you can have fresh baked cookies when ever you.
Fantastic. I actually know someone whose hob just broke down and they have to wait a week for the repair person to come ( warranty!). I never thought one can do these dishes in an airfryer!!
Thanks for doing more of these, Barry! I'm still living that dorm life so this helps a lot. :) I find that with some baked goods, you do need to flip them over, like those cookies. I did cinnamon rolls in ramekins and halfway through, I had to remove them from the ramekins and flip them so the bottom half wasn't doughy.
This is such a GREAT idea!!! I’ve often thought what can u really do in an air fryer. There r the basic ones ppl do, but it’s cool to see you CAN actually use it as a regular oven and make many different things in it. I’d LOVE to see u so more recipes in one!!!!
I make fruit hand pies in my air fryer. The hardest part is not overfilling the pastry dough. For anyone who wants to try it , I use premade puff pastry sheets and canned pie filling. Cook 5 minutes and flip, then another 3-5 minutes.
London, Ontario, Canada here! Been watching for so many years. I can't wait to make the cauliflower recipe! I love making almost everything in my air fryer!
I always do this, I know it makes people mad but it means I can get away with using a smaller pot and I don't have to fuss with it at all to get it all submerged. I don't find the eating experience significantly different. If anything it's slightly more convenient since the noodles are shorter and it's easier to get a forkful of them.
I'm thinking 'why are you mixing the cookie dough in the air fryer bucket'? I looked away for a ½ a tic and when I look back the cookie dough is in a bowl 😂
Yeah I was thinking the same thing and then he made the tartar sauce in the air fryer basket as well and then it went into a bowl. Not sure why any of that had to happen. 😂
12:20 the issue with your filet-o-fish is that your bun is not steamed and McD's steam their buns for the filet-o-fish. You could find a way of steaming a bun in the air fryer
These all look fantastic, but in particular that first with the cauliflower and cheese made me so hungry, I need to go try to make some for myself right now. Such a great vid!
I'm German living in Ireland 👋 Was dead set against getting an air fryer until I came across your air fryer videos. Think we might need to get one now 😂
I’m watching from Philly. I have yet to get an air fryer. Really due to a small kitchen. I definitely have plenty education on them for sure, thanks to you @mrbarrylewis ! ☺️
Watching from the West Coast of Canada (which you need to visit one day, there are some great restaurants over here) and Iove the air fryer videos. The one thing I tried recently was making frozen gyoza in the air fryer, which usually just crisps them up. However, I wanted them with more like they come out when you steam and pan fry them so parts are soft and others are crispy. I just preheated it with some water under the basket and put the gyoza in after tossing it in some sesame oil. About 10 minutes later they came out pretty darn good. On the topic of gyoza I also one scratch made pizza gyoza (filling of cheese, pepperoni, bacon, garlic, and a bit of tomato paste to bind it all) and I cooked those in the air fryer as well.
Ever since i bought my new Ninja dual draw air fryer/mini oven,my main oven became obsolete ! it's just dead and alone ! i can even do Yorkshire puddings in it,no opening the door and burning my face off ! and toast, perfectly cooked toast every time 😋
Barry didn't really need to boil the cauliflower. Roasting it until it is soft and a bit charred gives a tastier result. I don't have an air fryer but made cauliflower and potato mash in the oven recently and it was lovely. Canberra, Australia. 🇦🇺
Air fryer brownies would be nice to see as well as a grilled cheese or some kind of hot (or warm) sandwich that's not too messy tho Possibly try making hot fudge with alan as well
I'd say if you're baking a batch of cookies, use your oven. But if you scoop them out on a tray and freeze them, and put them in a freezer bag once they are frozen, you can bake just a couple at a time in your airfryer. Then you can have fresh baked cookies any time you get a hankering.
😄👍 Great recipes! Thanks for your hard work! I hope your new filming studio is going well too ❤ Very excited to see it 😁 I hope your family is doing well ❤ Hi to Boston too 🤗
i got that exact air fryer on sale at tesco foe 20 quid... best 20 quid i've ever spent makes the best roasts. and it's become my official cheese melter for toasties
Barry how about Lasagne now that would be good. I am also wondering if I could make a lamb biriyani in mine as it is my signature dish and I have made it in a rice cooker and an instant pot very succesfully.
When it comes to the cookies, if you're just on your own you can prep some and freeze balls, then just pop them in the air fryer when you want one or two.
Im watching from Estonia :) Definitely would love to see more Air fryer recype videos, cooking videos. Im trying to get an air fryer for me too hopefully someday.
I also love my air fryer, but it has 2 smaller drawers instead of one large one. I could still make most of these though. I'm from New Brunswick, Canada 🇨🇦
You can make cookie dough and freeze it in balls, then when you want cookies, just pop them in the air fryer (or oven) without defrosting them. Then you can have fresh cookies whenever you want
For the cauliflower, you should have put a bitof water in the bottom of the bucket, then the rack over that and the cauliflower on the rack so the cauliflower both steamed and was air fried at the same time
So I'm not sure if this is the same in the US but in canada we do use the term "gherkin" but it refers specifically to a smaller variety of pickle roughly the size of a pinky finger. The bigger ones we call "pickles" and "dill pickles" or "garlic dill pickles" are pickles that are brined in a vinegar solution with whole dill stems I believe and "sweet pickles" or "bread and butter pickles" are also bigger but they have a sweet flavour instead of the tangyness of dill pickles. But they are generally just called "pickles" and calling them "dill" "sweet" or "gherkin" refers to specific types of pickles. But we do still use gherkin it's just not used as a general word for pickles the way I've noticed you use it.
Hi Barry, long time subscriber first time commenter. I have had that very air fryer for ages and have just upgraded to the ninja dual air fryer. In my humble opinion I prefer the cheap tower one. it was a great little air fryer and probably the best £40 I ever spent.
baking beads need to be on parchment not direct to pastry , otherwise the ceramic beads can soak up fats, and then the fats can go rancid , and then taint food in the future
Evening Barry, just an fyi (and this may be very out of date as I worked in McDonald’s in my teen years a LONG time ago) the fillet’o’fish has a steamed bun and only half a slice of the same American cheese used in their burgers.
It's been about 20 years for me but I can confirm all of the above, as well as the fact that the amount of tartare sauce dispensed by the official McCaulking Gun was ridiculous compared to any other sauce on any other burger, you get SO much tartare sauce on a properly made Filet-O-Fish.
Air fryers are great everyone needs to own at least one of these things you can do so much with them including steak, chicken, rice you can even boil eggs in them. Plus the most important thing about them is you can save a lot of money on your energy bills since they use way less energy than an oven.
If you put boiling water into the airfryer bowl then you can slowly push in full size spaghetti it should soften in the boiling water Then airfy as usual I do this in the microwave Put boiling water in a glass bowl and add the spaghetti before microwaving
Maybe try Popcorn in the air fryer? I'd probably create a Foil package for it so it doesn't get stuck and burn in the heating Elements. Just a thought.

Thanks For this series Barry! It has really helped on how i use My air fryer!
You're going to have Lionfield knocking on your door for what you did with those scissors!
Say... Why didn't you bring the air fryer to the mre videos?
A few days ago I was in WA state near Seattle, today I am in South Carolina, near Charleston. I never thought of using the bottom of my air fryer to cook sauces and I loved the cheesy cauliflower. Being an older person found this inspiringly as recently bought the same one so good for anyone living on there own so thank you Barry ❤❤
Air fryer's are great aren't they. I tend to mainly use an air fryer for cooking myself these days, it's so much easier.
good to see the air fryer is back, hoping the pressure cooker gets another go also
Good shout!
These air fryer companies should sponsor you, you're making great content with them, loving the experiments.

"will it pizza oven"
Barry and Stuart shoving in a giant quiche 😂
Haha thats a youtube videi I want to see!
Or - " Will it air fry! Stuart and Barry mucking about with an air fryer
I wouldn't think of even making cauliflower cheese in the air fryer! *GENIUS* As you would say, that looked proper stonking. 🤤🤤
I love cauliflower cheese so that gives me inspiration to make it in the air fryer.
I just had an air fryer gifted to me, so all of your fun banter and tips are terrific for me. Ottawa, Canada

Edmonton, Canada here. Silent viewer here, but have been watching you for 5ish years, keep up the great work!
I'm sorry, it might be that English isn't my first language, but I fail to understand that combination of words; "too much pizza". Sound like a bunch of gibberish to me... 😜
Hello from Mississippi! Your videos have really brightened my days whilst I heal from surgery. Thank you so much for what you do, Barry!
I am a very new user of an airfryer. NEVER thought of to make sauces in one.... Awsome! 😊
It was so handy, you putting those recipes in the show notes, THANK YOU!
Watching from British Columbia, Canada. Thank you for all your hard work! My 5 year old and I love watching.
ive been making apple crumble, plum crumble, apricot crumble and rhhubarb crumble in mine... easy to make but i have to cook the fruit first then add the crumble on top and cook.

Aussie here, the cauliflower cheese will be getting a run in the ninja. Love your work!
Something I love doing is slices of bread with dollops of garlic butter in the air fryer. Garlic bread in 5 minutes.
Fantastic. I actually know someone whose hob just broke down and they have to wait a week for the repair person to come ( warranty!). I never thought one can do these dishes in an airfryer!!

Alabama in the states here, I love your videos and I get so many ideas to cook from your channel lol. So happy to be here

I recently baked a double layer devil chocolate cake in the air fryer by baking each base separately came out pretty nice!
London, Ontario, Canada here! Been watching for so many years. I can't wait to make the cauliflower recipe! I love making almost everything in my air fryer!
😱I can hear the Italian screaming when you cut the spaghetti in half😅
You can actually buy spaghetti noodles in half lengths. Who knew? Works better in instant pot.
I always do this, I know it makes people mad but it means I can get away with using a smaller pot and I don't have to fuss with it at all to get it all submerged. I don't find the eating experience significantly different. If anything it's slightly more convenient since the noodles are shorter and it's easier to get a forkful of them.
Who knew that if you bend spaghetti downward in the bowl it splits into two pieces lol
the italians wpuld be more upset at him for using that cheap yellow pasta and calling a generic meat sauce a "bolognese"
You are brilliant Barry. I hope this catches on!
Thank you. Those foil handles are genius.
Hi, from New York State!! I love whenever the girls pop in!! Keep going and remain cheerful!!
Hello from near Seattle, WA USA
Thanks for making such entertaining and educational and fun videos
I love your content Barry, it has inspired me to get into the kitchen and start trying new things!
I'm thinking 'why are you mixing the cookie dough in the air fryer bucket'? I looked away for a ½ a tic and when I look back the cookie dough is in a bowl 😂

Also why filet take longer when ordered is that they are made to order. Can't have cooked fish hanging around
@@tombstone5703 2-5m to make one over here
I didn't realise the sauce was so simple, I should make my own :)
I've made mince in my airfryer. I have also cooked a sweet potato then squeezed out of it's shell to make mash to freeze. Yum!
Thanks for all your experiments in the air fryer. Luv your videos. I am watching from London, Ontario, Canada. 🇨🇦
Hi 👋🏻 from Brunei, love watching your vids. Hope you get to a million subs soon. Cheers!
Watching from North Carolina in the US. Another great video Barry :)
Fantastic!! Melaney from Southern California
Spain here.. I'm definitely going to do the apple pie..thanks Barry
Always fun watching these.
Hi from Chesapeake, VA in the US, by the way.
These all look fantastic, but in particular that first with the cauliflower and cheese made me so hungry, I need to go try to make some for myself right now. Such a great vid!
I am watching this from Adelaide Australia, have done some of you ideas.
I'm German living in Ireland 👋
Was dead set against getting an air fryer until I came across your air fryer videos. Think we might need to get one now 😂
Just used mine to crisp up cookies! Perfect timing Barry!
Loved it, you made me rethink my air fryer
I’m watching from Philly. I have yet to get an air fryer. Really due to a small kitchen. I definitely have plenty education on them for sure, thanks to you @mrbarrylewis ! ☺️

Big oven is used mainly as pan storage now! :D
I have a ninja foodie and only use the oven for large pizzas these days

Mayo, chopped gherkins (or strained dill relish), a decent plop of yellow mustard and a dash of paprika. Your welcome.
❤love your videos , always a laugh and some inspiration 😊
In US you can get spaghetti pasta that is pot sized which is half the length of regular spaghetti pasta. No need to break the spaghetti.
When it comes to the cookies, if you're just on your own you can prep some and freeze balls, then just pop them in the air fryer when you want one or two.

I love my air fryer but it’s made me so lazy I find myself wishing it did all the prep and cleaning and sort just present a finished meal for me 😂
🤣 it's all good though!
My laziness is not having to wash the bucket over and over. Bowls and trays have a purpose
i'm watching this from the west coast of America, in the central valley. macaroni and cheeses, could work in the air fryer.
For the cauliflower, you should have put a bitof water in the bottom of the bucket, then the rack over that and the cauliflower on the rack so the cauliflower both steamed and was air fried at the same time

Can you try shoving a tile in there for baking stuff like pizza? Genuinely curious if it makes a difference!
