    Been racing dirt, clay, astro turf and several different carpets for 15 plus years, this content is really cool because I can relate to the close racing and how much fun it can be.

    I’ve been club racing 50+ times a year for 15ish years. A bunch of good tips in the video, some racecraft and situational awareness goes a long way to keeping clean. If you are following give yourself a couple car lengths more space than you think you need. Our cars are pretty punchy and you can still dive on a mistake from that distance and not get caught in the leaders mistake. We aren’t all pros, give yourself a little room.
    Some of my favorite race nights have been close clean battles for 9th place, more enjoyable than hackfests for the “win”
    Recently found your channel, good attitude about the hobby!

      As i thing it its also a matter of training to get pased by a faster driver, most new drivers first stand on the brakes when the faster driver approach but after a while get used to just slow down some and later on learn to not slow down but go wide in turns giving room to pas on inside and not loosing so much on his own pase.

    • @mnypit
      @mnypit 4 місяці тому +1

      @@extec101 I agree, knowing to move over in such a way that slows you both down the least amount of time is a learned skill. Most layouts have a couple spots on the track where you can more easily make room. It also applies to battles for positions. If you go a little wide and the other driver make the move inside just let it go and get them back in a few turns. Don’t try to slam the door racing back to the line only to take you both out.
      Good luck racing!

    It would be cool if stadium truck and truggy would be as popular as buggy and wheeler. I love all of them but I am a sucker for a truggy and stadium truck will always have my heart lol. And currently I have neither a truggy or a stadium truck…. Shame on me lol. Keep it up man and thank you. Super cool.

    Being a new racer I actually found this really helpful with your breakdowns. Currently Im running Alot of Mini-Z races and getting alot of time with traffic around. It has made me a better racer and this helped me to figure how to get around or hold back until the right moment. Ill be looking for more vids like this and trying to watch some of the live rc with these tips in mind. Thank you

    Lots of racing videos end up with Ryan taking the dude out. Not to talk shit, but there’s always some joking and sarcasm about him making contact with the person. “Rear end collision” “I grabbed a handful” “it wasn’t my intention” “ I didn’t stop”. Yeah. Two kinds of racers.

    • @Soysaucerc
      @Soysaucerc 3 місяці тому +1

      @@Crabtronics definetly just an observation from these videos. And racing is racing. When you’re fast paced and racing so close like this, shit happens. Racing happens and sometimes, like he said , you grab a handful. You still gotta stop tho, especially when it’s your friend.

I whole heartedly agree and have done this many times

    I noticed that I tend to rear end people somewhat when I'm on the approach into either a corner or a jump. So my overtaking craft needs improvement.

    Nice analysis and tips. Q: Do you prefer a track that "develops" as the race progresses or a track that is going to be consistent lap after lap? I can imagine that if you were the 1 at 1st the consistent track is preferred but running in 2nd or lower? Great video thanks for sharing. Keep up the great work :)

    Good video. You should always respect the other driver. If you lose a position that's OK. I respect the other drivers first when I race my boats. I can wait for my lead takeover or win to keep both drivers cars continually going in the race. Any interruption in your race is never good if you can help it.

    Typical open wheel racing, a big game of I'm not touching you because even the slightest contact is a recipe for disaster. All you can do is hope the other guy goes too wide or wrecks so you can pick the bones.

    I will say, if its the first lap youre going down, then yes, im gonna race the leader. Traffic is part of racing. Because the pros and fast guys think they can just drive through you.
