When I was 14 and on a flight alone, a middle aged man was seated next to me. I was wearing a jumper dress and he put his hand on my thigh. I froze bc I was young and didn’t know what to do. The stewardess immediately walked over and asked to speak with me. She grabbed my bag out of the overhead and walked me up to first class and sat me down. She let me fly first class for free just to keep me away from that creep.

I was 12 yrs old, at Disneyland with my family. And a Vietnamese man in his mid 30's or early 40's, followed me for hours, from one end of Disneyland to the other.
His English wasn't good, so he couldn't really communicate much. Except to repeatedly say "Phone number?"
    I kept repeating "im 12".
But the man was not deterred. Instead, he grabbed a mini umbrella souvenir I had been carrying, and took it. He wanted me to chase him for it. I just let him have it.
In the end, my father had to chase him off, I got my mini umbrella back.

@@sprshb1852 I think it’s more about the fact that most people who say “16-17” is a “good age” to date are usually people well into their late 20’s early 30’s. It’s not about being an adult once you turn 18 it’s about grown men and women thinking that because you’re closer to 18 than to 14 that it’s okay to prey on you. Look at the whole Billie Eilish situation people waited years until she turned 17/18 to start making creepy comments about her. It’s weird to think that once someone is close too or is 18 that it’s okay to prey on them, it’s more or less just really weird. Most 20-21 years olds don’t want to date Highschoolers so why are grown ass men and women so quick to want to date a Highschooler?? It’s just really weird imo.

    • @AlyssaTaylor9
      @AlyssaTaylor9 2 роки тому +131

@@sprshb1852 I do agree with you, it's not like somebody snaps their fingers on your 18th birthday and you're suddenly an adult, you're still very much a kid. The frontal lobe of your brain doesn't even fully develop until your mid-twenties.
In a weird way, it actually becomes worse at 18/19 because you're no longer underage, which is an easy out if someone is clearly being a creep. Suddenly it's "fair game" even though you haven't really changed. I would still tell people I was 17 when I wanted them to leave me alone because I could still reasonably pass for that a few years after.

Years ago, my hubby and I took my daughter and her friend to see a concert outside. They were both 13. Of course, they didn't want to sit with us on the lawn, so we let them take their blanket and move a little aways from us. Some old guy (to them anyway) about 30 or so started hitting on them. Before I could even get over to them, a man seated in front of them jumped up and loudly demanded the guy back off. I must have thanked him 10 times. The girls were scared then and moved right next to us. So many years ago, it was Meat Loaf, Bat out of Hell Tour. My daughter is now a mother of 2 and a high school calculus teacher.

A man clearly drunk, i think in his mid 20s approached me and said i was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. I tried to seem uninterested in the conversation and even told him my age. then my mom walked out of the store and saw the man talking to me. The stranger then asked my mom if he could marry me several times and every time he asked my mom, she said no. Luckily my mom was there to save me from the man and we walked to her car and drove away safely. I was so terrified. It really sucks that things like this happen so often.

Sure enough I see him creeping again looking for me but luckily he turns onto another street and I run all the way to my house. Ted actually had custody of his young girlfriend, given by the parents. My friends and I wore that same expression the girl had, on our faces many many times. Listen up girls. Don’t be afraid to be “rude” towards creeps when they approach you in public. Sometimes a simple “you’re making me uncomfortable, I don’t want to talk” or “you’re in my bubble, leave me alone” is enough to get them to walk away. Creeps bank on the conversation appearing “normal” to onlookers. If there’s any semblance of reasonable doubt that they’re directly overstepping boundaries, a creep will justify creepy actions. Making it socially apparent that you’re deeply uncomfortable takes the power out of their arena. We’re conditioned to practice good manners towards people who strike up a conversation. Some of us might even fear further escalation if we show any hostility. Keep in mind that predatory people feed off your hesitation and discomfort. That’s why he’s unfazed by the uncomfortable social cues she’s giving off. Creeps like to see you squirm. Standing your ground, or even embarrassing them, takes all the fun out of it. Even if a creep escalates, you’re still better off, because at least you know what you’re dealing with.

@MsDudette21 I don't think this one was all that clear cut and our "little angel" there , was about to make , willingly , the worst decision of her young life ! WAIT , before y'all maul me hear me out ! Just reading her body language and actions , I come to a different conclusion than those who say she "is terrified" . Yeah , of the hero possibly calling the cops or making a scene that would lead to her parents finding out what SHE is up to . Observe : 1. When hero walks up guy has her bracketed and pressed up against her....but she is not even flinching away , not to mention yelling or asking for help when there are literally dozens of people standing . 2. When she first turns around she does not look "terrified" or look like she was waiting for just this chance to make a break . 3. She still does not make break even though creep has back turned and is fully engaged with hero , OR 4. STILL NOT saying anything even while hearing hero accuse creep of the very thing we assume she needs help with ! (Remember , there are many people standing around) 5. She gives a sheepish grin at hero but STILL says nothing even though hero is now BETWEEN her and the creep who has walked off a couple steps . 6 Finally , creep tells her "c'mon let's get outta here , just say yer my daughter if asked"".... and takes her hand , which she accepts , then avoids eye contact with hero as she passes , and then when hero again confronts creep with calling police , she looks up with a look...."of terror"?..I think not . C'mon , she has repeatedly let every opportunity to " get help" pass by including Hero saying he'll call THE POLICE , and there STILL DOZENS of people right there , and probably hundreds more nearby ., in a public place , in broad daylight ! I would say her look is more like worry . Worry of discovery .
Said all that to point out that she seems to know the creep already and is cozy and comfortable with him . That DOES NOT make you any less a CREEP , if the underage participant is willing , naive or infatuated with you . I think , in this 2nd case , that the girl is infatuated and probably flattered that the older guy is wanting her and she is making some really bad calls here , but doing so willingly .
If you are a guy whom an underage girl is crushing on , you'd better nip that shit in the bud...and it is always the older person , THE ADULT'S responsibility to know right from wrong . Because it is STATUTORY RAPE no matter how "in love" the minor thinks she is !
Bottom line : She is being VERY FOOLISH and , he is being an OPPORTUNISTIC , PREDATORY , CREEP !

I'll give you an example right now I'm always in the fat ugly guy in my teenage years and my 20s I never got a chance to lose weight and get better looking so I can date really pretty girls and older I get the words it gets let's say I lose a couple hundred pounds a year from now and I start getting more attention from girls I might actually f****** attention from the girls in their teenage years because they'll start chasing me because they like older men.... You going to really kill me for that? Because you don't know what it was like for all my teenagers and twins that I wasted but I never got a chance to take good looking pretty girls in their late teens early 20.... You're going to look at me like a 30-something year old weirdo because I'm taking after girls that are around 18 or so or in the early 20s because I'm in my thirties because now I've lost a lot of weight but I have the confidence approach to younger looking girl are you going to tell me that my time is up I don't get a chance for redemption screw you lady

Yeah I was like “sooo could it actually be his daughter?” Lol cause not gonna lie she does look like she could be and she’s so young you just wanna believe that’s what’s going on but then I realized if I was in her shoes and that was actually my parent I woulda said something right away and not looked so scared
But the more I watch it the more I wonder. First of all the resemblance is uncanny. And while the guy taking the video claims he was “kissing up on her” I only saw his face close to hers I didn’t see any actual kissing. My daughter is only 4 and when she’s 10 years older I don’t see why I wouldn’t still hold her close to me whenever I can, he wasn’t touching her anywhere in the pelvic area, he simply had his arms around her so that makes me wonder. And furthermore it looks like they had been chilling there sorrounded by other people for a minute and it didn’t look like anyone had gotten any feeling that this man was with anyone else than his daughter, even when he was supposedly “kissing up on her” around dozens of people. All those things make me question it, possibly the man was with his daughter and didn’t know what was going on at first? Maybe he was serious that she was his daughter and maybe the girl didn’t know how to respond, we don’t know what the guy holding the camera looked like, it’s possible intimidation played a role.
But then there’s all the counter points such as why would he clearly lie about his daughters age and look so nervous? Why didn’t he just immediately say “this is my daughter fuck off?” I thought maybe he was trying to consider that someone might not like how close he was to his daughter? But he seemed so guilty so I just doesn’t stand to reason. But then the way he grabbed her hand made me think wtf? That looked so natural for the way a father would grab his daughters hand and lead her off?
My only conclusion is that this man and this girl have been seeing each other for a while, and are used to the father/daughter shtick in public, which is just sickening. At the end of the day if he was her father he would’ve been 10 times more adamant about it but it’s so clearly rehearsed it makes it almost believable
