In the most brutal of those type of places, you could potentially be beaten and robbed blind and tossed out in the street. could you imagine a world where more people acted like this. honestly i don't believe in like galactic Karma but i sure as heck believe in local Karma.
There are a lot of people that help others like this. Maybe not to the point of always looking for it, but definitely responding the same way when they see it.
people on a local scale act like this. as the guy who used to get stared at while picking up garbage during walks and seeing other people do other deeds, I can confirm.
I appreciate Japan for what it is naturally, but I'm tired of these naive people who talk about its inhabitants as if they are absolute angels. I once met an arrogant Japanese girl who asked me to stop watching these videos, but I go where I want. she told me that reading my negative comments saddened her but I was telling the truth about her culture. what if we speak their language badly? she refused to admit that her compatriots have too many cultural flaves! these people have a problem with ego and hypocrisy.
this guy can recognize social cues and interact with people in a country he's not even from and i cant even hold a conversation with my brother for 1 minute.
i understand if u can't hold a conversation properly with a stranger that well but with your brother?. regardless the problem you have with your brother I think you should definitely practice some social skills. It will really be helpful in the future.Considering the pandemic aren't going to allow that you could try practice with your family first.
Doing something for someone, even just a small act of kindness, is often so uncommon within a person’s life that when it does happen, it can turn their life around. When someone is at their low, they are the most vulnerable to these acts, sometimes just a small deed may matter to that person more than anything else. In this world of distrust, it may be hard to believe in this, but it’s only possible to be done by those who still have faith in humanity. This man executes this well, and I wish I could have him when i needed help.
I like how self aware he is. He isn’t acting like what he is doing is a big deal. He realises what he is doing is good. He even says. Should I save them.
Also people, remember almost no one is born generous and kind. Those are things that can be learnt and mastered, like almost everything. I believe with practice everyone can do it, so we should all try it.
I want this guys situational awareness, seriously it's like this is his 3rd playthrough and at this point he knows all of the random encounters and dialog options lol
Not to ruin comment or anything, but that was actually a set up for a social experiment thing for TV. I guessed they wanted to see if anyone would help him. Rob didn't know he was being filmed and was interviewed shortly after. I'll link the video if I find it.
funny how everyone has these thoughts, but it's rare to actually act and try to help it's not that bad and I'm not saying I'm much different, still, that's called bystander effect. put simply you're more likely to die surrounded by strangers while everyone thinks someone else will do something, than if you're injured and alone with a stranger.
@@hel2727 i think its easier in his case since he's a foreigner and most locals would probably just let him be. If he was a local, he'd probably get beat by intervening
To be fair, Japan is a pretty safe country overall, more people should do things like this, but sadly not enough do. In a country like in South or North Africa where I live, you can only do so much until you get stabbed, kidnapped or some shit like that, or get involved with a gang and you're basically as good as dead.
@@aozawa6172 well he could or he couldn’t do something bad but compared to the other ones (bad ones) right he didn’t get in the personal space of the girl he sat a bit away from her at a reasonable distance so this may be an answer too why he helped the dude.
The way he complimented that guys clothes after telling him to stop touching the lady. Smart way to defuse the situation before it potentially escalated. He’s very good at that.
I've seen some people complain that he's to nice to potential stalkers and creeps, but thats the best way to go about it. It makes it much less likely they will become upset and hostile. Saving the girls from the guy is all that matters not picking a fight with them in the middle of the city.
Threats also, unfortunately, very much depend on your look. Being abrasive ain't the way to go about things if you've got a baby face, nobody will take you seriously. Source: Personal experience. 😔
Exactly, of course it feels a bit iffy, but its the best way to peacefully help someone get away without causing any issues in the moment.
It's not faith in humanity at all. It's just doing good deeds to feel good about yourself, which is absolutely fine.
I like how self aware he is. He isn’t acting like what he is doing is a big deal. He realises what he is doing is good. He even says. Should I save them.
