- A step-by-step Wing Chun first form guide. In this tutorial, Neil Parris walks you through the SECOND AND THIRD SECTION of Siu nim tao - little idea form.
With this Wing Chun guide, you can practice and supplement your learning of the first form sequence accompanied by the names of many Wing Chun techniques and their translations. Pause and play at your own pace as we highlight details that can be missed at a glance.
Siu nim tao, sometimes written "siu lim tao" is the first form learned by the Wing Chun student. Although siu nim tao can differ slightly depending on where you learn, the core structure is essentially the same. The first form is divided into three sections which make it easier for the student to learn. You can find a link to siu nim tao, section 1 guide below and this tutorial covers the 2nd and 3rd section thus completing the first form sequence.

To see it from the side makes it so much easier for me, thank you!
This is the first Siu Nim Tao video that even attempts to show the names of the movements. I have seen a lot of Wing Chun 1st form videos and sometimes the instructor says a few of the terms very quickly so that I can't even tell what he just said and I definitely don't know the spellings. Good to see a video finally spell out a lot of the movements.
I really enjoy watching both of your videos. I used to know this form, but, haven't done it, in a longtime. These videos will certainly help refresh it for me. Thanks!!
I can’t wait for more videos!
Thank you very much
He is better than all the other teachers on youtube
Thank you for your time today, I really appreciated it. Using your tutorials to develop my form and these videos help me a great deal. I was able to follow the form up until 48 secs but then it seems like you upped the pace🤣🤣. Will keep practicing, I'm sure it will come in time. Thanks once again!
You can always slow the pace down to half speed. That's what I did when he started speeding up.
Really well done, thank you!
Practicing this part now!! Thank you🙏
I'm so glad its useful to you and others. Train well. Enjoy the journey!
nice that bong hand are appropriately relaxed and
punches are targeted at the same spot
Excellent video! Sign posts are really useful

You are so welcome, thank you Irene
@@CentralWingChun thanks for sharing I love the video, your movement giving me in sight on polishing up my form.
I first studied wing chun 30 years ago. This is the first hand form and is exactly how I learned it …. Except I call it sil lim tao
thnx sifu
Thank you kindly for posting this. I am a very new student and it is hard for me to follow at usual speed.
Thanks for this. Feel like I'm cheating by using UA-cam, but WTH, it's the 22nd century not the 19th.
first part was better because it was slower and from different angels. anyways thanks! :)
Thank you for watching! Your feedback is much appreciated. I'll take it into consideration for future form videos. Best regards
thanks bro
Welcome. Thanks for watching!
Great
Thank you for watching
Thanks Sifu sorry I don't know your name Sir . But how it's nice and slow I can keep following and learning . I actually love Wing Chun . And people say it doesn't work . It works quite well. It's a true warrior art the problem with people they like to retreat and that's their problem. We need to keep constant pressure till we are invited to hit a critical . And since I'm aggressive by nature I'm not afraid to take a hit for their destruction.
The point of a fight is to hit and not get hit. Ur logic is flawed here.
That is very different from the form by @Ipman
