    This is pure wing chun. You will not find anyone else teaching like this!
    I haven’t practiced in over 25 years and these teachings are precisely as I was taught. He leaves out nothing. Absolutely no deviation from the form.

      @@samconstantinou2335 It's not always about that. Sometimes people study martial arts just for fun or self-improvement. That being said, while the demonstration may not be at full power, it's not like you can't power up the techniques...

      @@johnewen90 yeah I find that iron bone, iron palm, various karate kata and strength training can be a good compliment to wing chun personally
      There’s ways of adding to it
      I think people don’t realise how powerful wing chun punches actually are
      My sifus hands and forearms were like fucking rocks, because he did a lot of iron palm, iron bone and the muk jong training
      And it’s weird how a vertical punch the traditional Chinese boxing punch
      It really penetrates, couple that with falcon claw and it’s just agony
      Concentrated force all on the one knuckle
      It just hits differently
      The forms look fluid, slow, weak but it’s training isn’t it, as you say
      And as you also say, a lot of people do it for self improvement not to smash faces in
      So good reply to the other dude
      I agree with you

    I have wanted to learn Wing Chun casually for health. I am so happy to have found these tutorials. I've never done any type of martial arts ever. I can say it is very challenging not having someone standing by to correct my posture / forms, but at least I can break these steps down further. I imagine I need to strengthen my legs and learn to master the stance before I attempt to bother perfecting the arm movements. I can already feel a lot of muscles in my hands, wrists and elbows being engaged on some of those circular motions of the wrists. Thanks for emphasizing where we should be pushing / relaxing / etc. So I know what muscles should be engaged or relaxed for each move.

      Relax, if you are tense in a hostile situation, your body will have limited range of motion. Power is generated from proper form, not proper form from power. Your neck, down to your spine and your hips all are the generating force of power when you want to execute defensive maneuvers. You would be amazed how little effort it takes, to reach maximum potential. Think path of least resistance.

    The first part of your form is not correct. When doing the first tan-sau movements, when you are up, the lett hand needs to be in the front. When down, the lett hand is the lower one, and when coming back, you need to slide your hand, and the left one needs to be in the front again.

      Keeping chin down limits your vision

    • @yamixkaioken8031
      @yamixkaioken8031 3 роки тому

      another thing about having your chin down all the time is that it tenses your entire body up limiting your reactions to things. Martial Arts is about flexibility and fluidity, you don't want to be tensed up when you are trying to execute form and defensive moves or you are going to limit your range of motion, your neck is connected all the way down your spine which is generated power through your hips if you think about it.

    Half of the video on just how to stand, before even starting to do the form?
    You may want to rethink just how wordy you may be. And just how unessacary is it really?
    8m thinking you lost most peoples attention after 1 secs of not getting to the point, the form itself.
    Just doing the form, is far more explanatory than the video you did here.
    And, I seen it only taking 3 seconds timed to complete the whole form, with out cheating any of the movements. So, 14-15 minute is way too ling when compaires to 3 seconds.

    • @yamixkaioken8031
      @yamixkaioken8031 3 роки тому

      Please... comments like these are why traditional Martial Arts has a bad rep. Are you really that dense? I see nothing wrong with anything that was explained in this video, in fact stance is very important and has a lot to do with proper form and how people will ruin their entire Art henceforth if they don't correct these things early on. In fact i don't think the video was even long enough, that's why there are more sections to learn, dipshit.
