- Today in the Soviet Union, following a intervention in the Spanish Civil War Valentin Gonzalez will come to the Union and align himself with the Opposition to bring down Stalin, however this plot will not go to plan and will require this general to take control by any means to ensure victory.
Along the way we will manage Stalin's paranoia to the best of our ability, however this normally treacherous system will be taken advantage of to achieve our aims before Stalin really knows what is happening.

The original plan for this week was to do Ethiopia/This Time For Africa however it was clear that you guys wanted to see how this was done, that's cool though. That video will have to be done another time, probably next year. Since I do have quite a bit planned this month that I'm looking forward to doing these next few weeks.

Valentin Gonzalez has the "brilliant strategist" trait while in real life he was kicked out of the Soviet millitary school for incompetence.
Let see what is the definition of "incompetence" in soviet russia, there is not weird lack of evidence about Stalin changing his mind amd words about something as someone to fit his own will.
The Soviet union wasn't very famous for its meritocracy, so it's possible that brilliant people got removed only for loyalty preferences

I did not know that Stalin personally kicked out Valentin Gonzales from the military academy, do you have a source on that?
He clearly was the type of guy that learned from practice, rather than from theory!
Therefore he learned how to be an strategist on the fly when in the Spanish civil war!

This actually creates a cool story, Gonzalez takes revenge on Stalin for helping Nationalists by overthrowing him

I’m very curious if you know of a way or could come up with a way to get COMECON as the right opposition before your fight Germany? I’ve tried a lot of ways like speeding down Japan as you have to kill a major but this is hard and luck based to me. Do you know of a way to make a easy to defeat major? I’d love to know if you have any ideas. I think this could be a good video too if you want another reason to play the right opposition lol.

I'm having a problem. When it comes down to Gonzalez and Kliment it always gives Kliment the trait and not Gonzalez.
If you could do this in the left opposition path you could actually make this viable. I don't think there's a way to murder Trotsky though.

Stalin will eventually do the Trial of Rights and Trotskyites in early 1939 iirc which purges them both, wait until then if you can't get the purge in the admin.
