On any MT 10 or MT 09, a comfort seat is the absolute first mod necessary. Absolutely mandatory. MANDATORY!!! For those who have never tried one, I can't express the difference in comfort. Absolutely night and day. Thank you.
I usually don’t like bags, but Yamaha did a great job at making those look NICE. They’ve got the slight angles that really match the rest of the bike, especially with that comfort seat.
Thank you so much for documenting the side bag rail drilling and installation process. I bought these second hand and got no manual, nothing. Really no easy way to figure this out by looking at it, Yamaha doesn't publish that manual on the product page. I would never have drilled stuff willy-nilly. Much apprechiated Chase! And "hi" Boe!
I have a 2018 MT09 and it’s nine stock for the engine and exhaust. I have bar end mirrors, radiator guard, passenger fp removal, windscreen fender eliminator and I love it! It’s lighter than the mt10 and costs less. I am happy with my choice. But I am impressed with what the mt10 has to offer. I would probably like it just as Much
Just wanted to say thanks, I have been looking at the 10 for a few months now. After watching your videos on it, especially this one, I’m going to be getting one for my birthday in about a month.
Those saddle bags are good quality. Once I did not lock properly one of them and it went flying on a motorway when I was doing like 80 mph. It survived the crash , managed to find it in the bushes, attach it and continue riding.
Chase... HUGE fan of the MT-10 (i probably should have bought one instead of the F900r)... keep the content coming on it. I've had good luck on all of my seats, easy installs.
Buy the givi panniers. no drilling of the pannels. quick release too so you get to where you are going take off the panniers and undo 3 quick release clips and the rails come off too, excellent system
Nice additions...I would find some black fasteners for that windscreen install looks like it's missing something in the middle. Everything else was spot on. Nice machine, enjoy those longer more comfortable rides.
Everything you yourself installed on this bike I love. I would love to install on my 650 v-strom xt. I have crash bars, skidplate, higher windshield, a dorky topbox but no saddlebags, they are next. The seat for me is ok, I would like to try a comfort seat sometime down the road. Thanks for showing us your options on the mt-10. Sick!
Your really good with putting on aftermarket accessories on the MT10 Chase!!! I think I would get the windshield, comfort seat, and a slip on exhaust.Though I'm in the market for a MT09.I would get the same accessories.Windshield, comfort seat, and a slip on exhaust, like a Akrapovic.slip on.Keep up the good work Chase.Peace brother biker. It's all good!!!!
Hi Chase - your use of tools now is so much better than way back at the start in the Monster days. Even the way you made the holes using the available drills etc. was done with care. And it was good to see you strapping the bike down when you had to swing on the engine bolt. You would never have thought of that before. I hope all the parts make the difference you are hoping for. I’m looking forward to the next part. All the best from Scotland
If I had to replace my 2015 fj09, I would want an mt10 with the touring accessories like you have. I would need a few more comfort and convenience accessories, but what you have is a good start.
Would be nice if these touring mods came with the bike. Nice look and at least there are lots of mods for this bike. I have a 2015 Ninja 1000 that came these mods when i bought it, since its a touring bike.
I think This will be my next bike looks great man really curious what you think about the seat and the windscreen looking forward to your next riding video on the bike 👍🏼
Frame sliders will not save your bike as it didn't save my last MT10 but lesson learned and i got Crazy Iron (from Ebay - made in Russia) on my new MT10 - that protects everything on the bike and i recently dropped it but not a scratch anywhere - loved that and you should get it as well.
invest in tapered step drill bit can even be cheap chinese harbor freight for plastics but it is the by far the BEST plastic drill cause each step in the taper is the next size so it is one bit and done
Looks killer man and I’m sure it will be a blast to go on little day trips with. My seat on my zx6r is a breeze. Key to remove the rider seat and than one cable to remove the rear seat. Unlike some sport bikes you have to unbolt the rider seat. Kawasaki did something right with the 2019. Oh and Kriega makes some slick saddlebags.
Beautiful bike don't understand what all the hate is about. my next bike bike for sure specially that white / Red color combo. the only i would add is a ecu flash to unleash the beast . get a complete Austin exhaust, Tail delete, and get some low profile turn signals.
Anything to increase the 30 mpg/ fill up every 90 minutes situation? The terrible mileage and range are what prevents this from being a great naked touring bike.
The one review of the oem saddles bags on revzilla says they don’t clear the oem rear blinkers.. I’m confused?? They look like they have plenty of clearance on this video? Can anyone confirm rhis
So all of the mods are the ones from Yamaha? I was considering a Tracer 9 GT, but I think for about the same money I could get a 2021 MT10, and then add in the panniers, screen, seat and heated grips and make it something I could rip on in the mtns, but also do some serious distance on if I want... My new R1 is great for mtns and track, but even with the Helibars I have on there, it's not a highway mile muncher...
Did they end up sending you two mounting kits? I think I’m going crazy?? I thought for sure in one of your videos you explained what the extra parts were or what u thought they were .. please explain chase
Bags look a bit small for touring, maybe a weekend get-away. Welcome to Dad-mode lite. To remove an RT saddle, unlock the passenger saddle and it lifts off, then the driver saddle lifts off, easy peasy. To install, slid the driver saddle front hooks onto the front mount and set it on the frame, slide the tabs of the passenger saddle under the driver saddle to lock it down and thump the back of the passenger saddle to lock it back down. If you have heated seats, mind the plugs and wiring. #Outro
I have 3 points on seat which I have to put in correctly and then there is lock point as number 4. So it is always a minute of fiddling to get it right :D
windscreens do almost nothing in the naked category. The air is passing under (the wall between the two side vents) and behind the steering bar and still comes up to the neck-chest. There is a reason they cover with plastic those holes in the touring ones...I say it from experience unfortunately...
I have a 19 MT-09 and I have the comfort seat and at first it took me FOREVER to put it on. After a while you get it figured out and it goes on in one smothe movement........ most of the time..lol
Did you tune your suspension? Had mine done recently. Different bike now. Really communicates and give you lots of notice before letting go. Eats potholes no problem. Best. 50 quid. Ever!
Really nice touring accessories but the whole thing is a fail IMHO due the tiny fuel tank....I was getting excited until I realized this deal breaker....have to stay with my Trace 9GT
Nice video, the bike looks great, the official touring variant I saw at a bike show had lowered pillion footpegs as well. My wife is 5'11 and even on the touring version her legs were bent alot making it an uncomfortable proposition.
Just gotta day, if the “no wind cover” thing makes you don’t want a naked bike - I only ride naked bikes, I’m the other way, rather ALL the wind on my body than wind only on my helmet making it wobble around! And yes, you can cruise in 140km/h without problem without wind protection!
I rode my MT-07 without a windshield cruising at 140-150 km/h, gotta say now that i switched to a MT-10 with a windshield i wouldnt have it any other way. My helmet wobbles less than on the 07 (im 188cm and have a Shoei NXR). This is ofcause all personal preference. You can do it but for me atleast no windshield exhausts me 3 times faster than with. More fun on short rides sure, feeling the speed, but chewing miles like i often do i will always bolt a windshield on it beforehand.

Looks so good man, went to look at a tech black MT-10 like a month ago, definitely want one, one day...
Mine is all black. Suspension tuned. R&G tail tidy and radiator and oil cooler guards. It is a sexy bike to ride. I love it...!
That comfort seat is the best modification out of everything you did. Windscreen is number two.
For me (400Kliks a week 😜) The screen would be first then seat 👍🏾😎.
Buy the givi panniers. no drilling of the pannels. quick release too so you get to where you are going take off the panniers and undo 3 quick release clips and the rails come off too, excellent system
Gotta say man, you always select some fire background music. Glad you're enjoying your MT-10. Loving mine too! Have fun! Keep the shiny side up!
Thanks man!

I have a 2018. The thing is an animal. Mine has a flash and the supporting mods. Amazing machine.
It looks way better now! Nice mods!
Would be nice if these touring mods came with the bike. Nice look and at least there are lots of mods for this bike.
I have a 2015 Ninja 1000 that came these mods when i bought it, since its a touring bike.
just bought one of these 3 weeks ago in black. what a good bike man
I think This will be my next bike looks great man really curious what you think about the seat and the windscreen looking forward to your next riding video on the bike 👍🏼
I swear I’ve been waiting on this for awhile. You should definitely buy this bike then do better aftermarket stuff for sure.
Would those hard panniers be compatible with a new MT07 2018 - 2020?
Frame sliders will not save your bike as it didn't save my last MT10 but lesson learned and i got Crazy Iron (from Ebay - made in Russia) on my new MT10 - that protects everything on the bike and i recently dropped it but not a scratch anywhere - loved that and you should get it as well.

17:48 chase flexing 💪🏿 on us 😂
haha aint got nothing to flex my man.
how much of difference does the windshield make. how is the wind compared to a full fairing bike ?

That MT-10 Looks SWEET Chase Good Job
Anything to increase the 30 mpg/ fill up every 90 minutes situation?
The terrible mileage and range are what prevents this from being a great naked touring bike.
I'd been possibly envisioning a Tracer 900 GT in my future but after watching this, I'm thinking MT-10/ST instead.
The one review of the oem saddles bags on revzilla says they don’t clear the oem rear blinkers.. I’m confused?? They look like they have plenty of clearance on this video? Can anyone confirm rhis

On the 2003 honda hornet the seat slides in place almost by itself..goes in 'n out super fast

I love the touring look of the bike!
I can feel brian cringe while you were mankng the holes all the way from over here😂
the bags are SW-Motech (URBAN ABS) Bags, had them on my 390 :)
Where I can purchase the sidecase and racks nowaday? I am from Australia
Hey Chase, did the bike feel any taller with the comfort seat, compared to the stock seat. How tall are you ?
I don't know, a touring liter bike with a cross plane engine just sounds so much like cheating...
But it looks good.
MT-10 Comfort Saddle
it s definitly better than the stock ? i feel a bit "rock" the one who come in the mt10
you should get the handguards as well the mt10 tourer has them it realy makes a big difference ! Im a R1 guy but i love my mt10 tourer as well !
What torque wrench is that?
Looks awesome 👏🏻
Love the set up
I want on with hard waterproof bags one day...dare I say a bagger?!! 😂
Oh, hello Bo!
YAMAHA!!
Does anyone know where to get these parts? Seems like yamaha is all out of stock everywhere!
What about engine case covers?
I don’t see any oem for mt 10 but I do see for r1, I’m wondering if they will fit.
Nice Bulbasaur.
I've currently got the Tracer 900 GT. Definitely looking at am MT10 SP next year.
The laguage doesn't look waterproof to me.
Who would you use to flash the ecu if you needed to?
Not bad, but my ‘08 Concours will put this wannabe on the trailer before you can complete one mile- and get better mpg while doing it. 💪🏻
I have 3 points on seat which I have to put in correctly and then there is lock point as number 4. So it is always a minute of fiddling to get it right :D
TST tail tidy is a good thing to do, guess you gotta wait till you own it
Get some hand guards on there and the gps mount and it’s literally a factory prep’d touring edition!👍
Dude the seat on my fz07 is such a pain in the ass! I have to fold two parts of the back part of the seat and use an Allen to take the bolts out.
Loved your videos buddy♥️♥️
Get the seat modded now before it bursts through the cover , Simple fix trim the plastic back at the horns .

lol that "most of the time" being the key phrase right?
@@chaseontwowheels yea sometimes it just wants to be manhandled..lol
Can I add touring mods to 250cc??
These saddlebags can be open without a key, can't they? Are they closed only by zippers?
Looks that way. You could put a tiny lock through the zipper pulls, but would be better if locked shut for certain
I juat got a corbin seat for mine its so much better then the stock one
No oil cooler cover?
Yeah you dont need the windscreen. I had that bike and the wind is fine up to the speedlimiter at 155mph
Don't forget the bigger gas tank. I have an MT-09, which has better mileage and is what the Tracer 9 is based on, and I still consider it horrible.
ShadUsa makes some better bags, that can also hold a helmet if you wanted to.
I put a new seat on my FJR 1300. It was a pain in the butt to get on.
Great vid like always. Love my MT-10 too
Dude this is also my realistic dream bike!
Does it get 45mpg yet for touring? If so, I’m in!! It’s like Christmas watching you open all those goodies
What’s up with all the GD ads dude? Five ads and I still haven’t finished the video. 🤷🏻♂️

Or ,a cool and comfy flat bar conversation slightly lower foot pegs

No problem!
That feeling when you see the yellow lights increasing and the green light with the alarm. mmmmm ☺
I have to admit, I dabble in the hoony shit, this video is applicable to me at this time of 3am
Great vid. How tall are you?
Its seems like what you actually want is a Tracer 900 gt...
Loved the power of my mt10 but found the throttle super twitchy on our bad roads.. sold it back and got an mt07
Did you tune your suspension? Had mine done recently. Different bike now. Really communicates and give you lots of notice before letting go. Eats potholes no problem. Best. 50 quid. Ever!
Yamaha watching chase do this to they’re motorcycle: 🧿👄🧿

Sweet bulbasaur shirt chase !!!!!
What torque wrench do you use? :)
it's a snap-on. but they're all the same. Digital torque wrenches are wayyy over priced and not worth it, especially if you don't make money with it.
I'm about to do 1700 km under 24hrs on the 4th of sep. should be fun
oh yeah its all coming together
I’m confused. You have 2 MT10s? I thought you bought one and got another exact one from yammie.
I gotta buy one. A house can wait. I have a motorcycle tent, we're good.
If the tent provides you shelter it's technically a house...just sayin.
@@chaseontwowheels 4 walls and a roof, my dude.

I'm not aware, that the pillion footrest height is different on any model MT10. Certainly not in the UK, anyway.
Looks clean and Amazing.
If the mt 03 is changed to this mode

You do know Givi make a pannier rack that requires no drilling, is quick release and has bigger panniers, Givi V35’s. 😂😂
Just needs better MPG and then I'd be sold :).
Well, I'm already sold - just saving for one now... But the fuel range is going to be a bummer.
To be honest, I can live with 36 mpg...!
The sacrifices you gotta make for a crossplane.
