Would love to hear your thoughts on Batman's first appearance in the DCU! *Please consider liking the video & sharing if you enjoyed it, thank you very much! :)*
Well I would love it to be an ending scene of the Superman movie where we find out who Batman is and he asked him to join the Justice League
*Thanks for the new DCU film news video, **#BobaTalks**!* 😉 *Here's hoping, along with the 2026 Clayface DCU film, (hopefully PG-13 ) the Batman: The Brave and The Bold DCU reboot film would also be a success possibly in 2028,my good friend!* 😉 *See you soon in a video or several videos involving trailers for the Puppy Bowl on February 9th, 2025, my good friend!* 🐕 🐾 😇
As Batman is kind of a god and kind of a monster, he could appear at the end of Clayface. Was it you who hypothesized that DCU Batman would likely be more fantastical than Pattinson?
I would be happy with an end of the Clayface movie, but he could also show up in Waller as well.
It Better Have White Eyes
This happened when we got both Spider-Man and Black Panther in Civil War before their solo films so this could definitely work
dc copying marvel again, the dceu was just dc copying marvel & failing.
If they introduce it that way, that should work. Bring Batman in as an established character who is interacting with already established Superman or whoever else from DCU.
I almost agreed, but they tried and failed with Batffleck..... THEN AGAIN, this is James Gunn. So who knows....
@@jojothebadmofo what does batfleck have to do with this
@@HavokUnbound that it failed inspite of being a major part of a big film...it failed..
Batman debuting in Clayface would make SO much sense! It’s also a great incentive for people to see Clayface, especially if he has a sizable side role
Definitely. I found it jarring that Batman never appeared in Penguin. It almost took me out of the show since that's clearly something he would be involved in. Batman should have a decent number of appearances in clayface. Obviously not enough to steal the spotlight, but enough so that it doesn't make Batman look like a chump for letting such a powerful villain run loose without repercussions
I think Batman will make his DCU debut in the Clayface movie as well. It makes the most sense.
I think so too. Since they are going to have to establish a DCU aesthetic for Gotham in the Clayface movie anyways,it makes sense they
lock in the look of the DCU Batman in that film because the character has to mesh with that Gotham.
It wouldn't make sense to have one look for Gotham in a Clayface movie only to end up with a very different take a few years later in Brave and the Bold.
Batman is definitely gonna be in clayface even a cameo
If we get a new casting this year it will end the Pattinson Batman situation. Which is good for people like my self you really want the comic book Batman in his full glory because this Batman is accurate in a way but realistic.
I really really think we will know who batman and wonder woman are by the end of the year, especially if superman does well they will have all this momentum
Pattinson is very comic accurate imo. Just underdeveloped and inexperienced
@@Joshcoshbagoshnope you get new actor hope your ego get shattered
@@Joshcoshbagoshit's not that it doesn't feel comic accurate, it's that it's still kept within the limits of what's realistic, because that's pretty much how Matt Reeves described his approach to The Batman. That, together with the fact that he doesn't wanna join the DCU, show that his Batman will always be limited by trying to stay realistic to some degree, whereas Gunn's DCU isn't be limited by those notions. For example, Reeves never seemed sure about including a Robin in his Batman trilogy, whereas Gunn is all for Batfamily in the DCU. THAT'S the difference!
No I get it. Reeves clearly isn’t going to adapt every aspect of the comics, but I dislike this idea that he isn’t comic accurate. He can be more realistic while still being very comic booky, which is exactly what I thought Reeves did. He is very true to a younger early years Batman imo when Gotham hasn’t really reached the point of being a full blown gothic fantasy world yet. But sure, seeing a prime Batman with all of these things established will be cool. I just think there is room for both
If they do this, please let it be Brendan Sklenar
Go, Batman! And go, BobaTalks!
If batman is in clay face, it could be pretty cool to have his presence be like darth Vader in rogue one
Exactly.
That makes a lot of sense since Vader in Rogue One was out there stalking the main characters and didn't "catch up" with them until the
end of the film. Just have Batman out there hunting Clayface but always a step behind until Clayface is "cornered" at the end of the film like the rebel alliance soldiers in that dark corridor.
I think WB should take a hint from Sony's attempts to do Spiderman villain films without Spidey and definitely put their new Batman in Clayface. Not as a bit part, but as a proper Batman vs Clayface film.
Well then they should just do a Batman movie with clayface As the villain lol. No point in marketing it as a clayface film if it’s just a Batman movie in disguise.
@@Joshcoshbagosh deal wit it you clearly too blind by fear
If Pattinson does end up being the DCU Batman, I think having that reveal would likely be here within the Clayface film, even if it’s just a bat signal with the Battinson logo like at the end of The Penguin. Rather than making some announcement through the trades, if they do end of making Pattinson the DCU it would make sense if it was made official through Clayface. You have to think that well The Batman Part II is shooting this year, it’s entirely possible that they film his Clayface scene during the production of The Batman Part II. I know Matt Reeves is already involved in a few DCU projects but he is a Producer on the Clayface project so he’ll be involved. All hypothetical of course, wouldn’t be opposed to a new actor for the DCU Batman but also wouldn’t be entirely upset if Rob and Matt decided they wanted into the larger world of the DCU. Love the videos Boba!
Would it be crazy for Pattinson to play both the dcu batman and the reeves batman? It could work if they make the universes different enough, and I honestly can't see a better bruce wayne actor than Pattinson out here. Unlikely, but I wouldn't mind it at all.
honestly i dont mind pattinson as batman i like having a sorta "different universe" batman gotham itself is a whole different side of the world in alot of aspects like the difference of moving from metropolis to gotham is entirely different so having that more "realistic" version of batman and gotham i would really like people will say it clashes with the tone of the other movies but thats exactly the point its making batman feels like hes in a whole different universe than magic and aliens yet hes not it makes sense to me and id also love for them to start with the dick grayson dynamic first then go into a further batfam but yk they already said itd be brave and the bold with damien not sure how it would all work out myself but im sure they can make it work using time skips or whatever gimmick i just hope its not too confusing but like alot of the batfams storylines are pretty important to the future batmans personality and relationship with his kids it imo would be kinda detrimental to not show that progression of behaviour and change and i dont rlly like the idea of adding it in later with yk a teen titans movie i wouldnt want their relationship dynamic to be the focus of a team movie ykwim
"If" is irrelevant because it's literally already been confirmed to not be happening.
@@kaitodoedid you skip school when they learned using commas? It is difficult to read. And no, not even what if. How do you explain casual viewer who only watch trailers?
Man i hope the DCU batman costume is like the one on the thumbnail, looks awesome mate
It would be neat if Batman made cameos in other movies but only from the shadows so we never really get a look at him until his own movie
you dont know how much i want this like hes secretly gathering data on potential future members of a certain league but far enough away or fast enough that you cant tell who it is even just eyes in the corner shadow or shadow ears poking out just quick enough to notice and think twice it would make the "secret details you missed" channels go crazy would spark many talks about the movies its just a good move imo people like little details
The clay face story is gonna be incredible
I would love if they would build up Batman as a myth, a legend. Even the heroes don’t believe that her exists, that he is just a legend and the villains fear him. A horror movie could do well with that.
Then the Bat-hype would be fabulous
☝️💯 I really liked the Batman from Justice League:War cartoon movie, the flash, green lantern thought he's just an urban legend😂
I like the idea of Batman involved in a sort of role reversal, for now, where he shows up kind of like the villain rather than the hero. projects like clay face and the rumoured deadshot and bane movie could be marketed exactly like that. Completely new perspective, like the penguin series. It’s something new and I think people crave new. Batman will help the box office but I don’t want it to just be a cameo, I feel like he should play a decent role secondary to the title characters.
Like Assault on Arkham
It would also set the DCU Batman apart from the Patterson Batman by immediatley establishing this Batman is a crime fighting veteran
who regularly deals with metahuman threats, while at the same time not having to draw distinctions with the Patterson Batman by focusing
on his life as Bruce Wayne. Let the more fantastical villian and take on Gotham in Clayface set the stage for the eventual DCU solo Bat film.
Honestly, Pattinson is one of the best actors for Batman right now. Let him play two different Batmen. Separate universe, same actor. It's never been done before. I'd love his versatility for the complexities and nuances of two different Batmen he could play.
no deal with a new actor
There were never two Batmen at the same time and I am afraid studio is worried about fans reaction and possible confusion. Cannot even imagine how confusing would it be to have one actor playing Batman in two different universes.
They tried with The Flash 2023 when it comes to BatKeaton, but it didn't work
@ kid
Introduce Batman in a Clayface movie simple. On How villains sees Batman
Boba what up man much respect and love for what u do
Hey Alen, thank you for the kind words and watching the video :)
If they have an actor already cast for Batman before filming of the Clayface movie begins then yes he definitely will be in the movie
I mean to be fair marvel did it with spidey this time around. Though his movie came pretty soon after Civil War. But his debut was in a "captain America" movie (an avengers movie)
Can't wait to see the appearance of DCU Batman on the big screen.
yes
I think that they should build up the Batfamily via Clayface and Teen Titans. Have Batman appear a little bit more than what we saw in "The Creature Commandos" but still never show him fully. But have another member like Barbara as Bat Girl and Commissioner Gordan play a significant part in the film. Then in Teen Titans have Dick become Nightwing at the end of it and then show Batman/Bruce Wayne talking about Dick leaving the nest. Then you have the Batfamily and Batman setup so that by the time we get "The Brave and the Bold" we'll have gotten a taste of the fantastical Batman.
Excellent Job on what you are doing Boba⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏
But me Im just waiting for Paradise Lost Wonder Women no update
Clayface is an amazing villain that usually affects the greater dcu and usually ends up in conflict with the justice league. We should see Batman in the movie and hopefully it’s an older version that would perfectly fit brave and beyond. I think it’s also the best idea to introduce villains in their own movie to see how the crowd reacts because in my opinion the movie is only as good and captivating as it’s villains and I find clayface can have some serious potential if done right.
I am not sure about that. Name one story where JL was in conflict with clayface. He usually isn't even part of teams that go against JL ( Legion of Doom, Injustice League, etc)
Easily my #1 channel for DC coverage. Appreciate you creating fun and interesting content without the need to fuel unreliable rumors etc. 🤘
I like the idea of him appearing at scenes throughout. Shadows of him arriving, each time shows a little more, then at the End be appears to take down Clayface...the opening sequence of Brave & Bold is his point of view of those scenes. Then action sequence of him taking him down.
batman can be the "FUry" of the DCU. Hell, waller and batman have a sort of control freak rivalry and he could appear in her show. WDYGT?
We getting GTA 6 before DCU Batman
judge that joke is ilegal
I predict they’re gonna go ahead and make Mat Reeves’ Batman the one and if I’m right it’s because I’m a time traveler from 2033!
nu uh you get arrested for ilegally time travel they erased your timeline
I think a series of films focusing on batman’s villains before the brave and bold comes out could be really fun. After Clayface we could do the Deathstroke and Bane movie people heard rumours about
Bro i really enjoy your videos keep up the good work 💯👏
Mike Flanagan did say that the BTAS Clayface episodes were some inspiration for his movie, I could see Batman being an antagonist in the film with Batman trying to help Clayface but will eventually turn into a fight between the two with two possible endings.
1. They fight and Batman is able to defeat Clayface & takes him to Arkham or…
2. Clayface is “killed” in their fight but at the end (maybe end credit scene) Batman discovers that Clayface only faked his death and is still on the loose.
If DC learns from Sony’s villain movies’ mistakes that having a movie about a Superhero’s villain & not have said hero appear in the movie can lead to some problems
All they have to do is have a cameo of Alfred running errands in metropolis (that’s just my wishful thinking tho). Or just simply have Gotham be mentioned, like a ferry going to Gotham or daily planet has a small story of something going on in Gotham. I feel like that’s all we need,at least in the Superman movie.
I think the best way to do it is to build the myth of this batman. like in the clayface movie have him be like mostly in shadow and mysterious. meanwhile havign bruce wayne cast and have him be sort of a far away character. we can see batman and whoever is playing him without getting to know him before his movie
Right off the bat, nicely done
batman cameo in clayface film would be LIT! 🦇
I’d love for Batman to be throughout the movie as just movement in the shadows while he’s investigating and not let the audience have that revelation until the end. I think that’d work for the horror aspect as people think it’s Clayface.
Brave and the bold is my most anticipated project because this is the first time we have the bat family on the silver screen done correctly and it’s connected to a larger universe.
Man, this is a great video. Lots of things to consider.
Very interesting.
It is very possible that we could see the DCU Batman sooner than we think. However, I do believe Gunn wants to shine some more light on characters that are not known before we get a DCU Batman. The only thing I could think of in the Clayface movie is a representation of Gotham and the GCPD with a mention of Wayne Enterprises or Wayne Tech.
a cool way to integrate batman into the story of the clayface movie and build hype for the character (without it feeling like a random cameo) could be to make bruce wayne (not in the batman costume, doing detective work in the batcave) one of the main characters. the movie could be him in the batcave gathering intel to find out information about who clayface is, which lead into flashback scenes of the events in clayface's life as bruce investigates. the whole story revolves around bruce's perspective - giving us a peek at how smart a detective this rendition of batman is. maybe it could even end with bruce suiting up to go find basil carlo, giving us a suit reveal.
Chances that Gunn's new script is a worlds finest
Adding batman into the clayface movie can definitely work. This is definitely different from the penguin situation were batman wasn't featured in the Gotham based story. This works for the penguin in many ways like keeping the spotlight on the penguin and also even if the batman doesn't show up at least he's already established unlike the DCU batman. For what's it worth clayface is maintained as a villain like the penguin even though he's the titular character we could have batman stop him in the third act as a way to introduce the bats.
I really hope the Leonardo/Reacher guy will be Bats. Im a big fan of a leaner more ninja Batman, but that dude is still a perfect match for the bigger built style. And he's got a good sense of humor.
I’m a simple man and when Boba has some news I listen 😂 hope everyone is doing well and thanks for the video brother much love!
i've been saying this.. they can introduce DCU batman in other project it doesn't have to be in Batman solo film... they can cast an actor to play batman and having him on other DCU movies.. and then after that transition to batman the brave and the bold.. batfleck doesnt have solo movies but still works right.
i hope the dcu and the batverse stay separate
One thing I would love to see batman bring into his mainstream use is the temporary fear toxin. Would make him so much scarier to criminals to go on a terrifying trip before being attacked by what looks like an actual bat demon. Then they wake up remembering it like a horrible dream but their bones are broken.
Make batman the mystery in the shadow.
I wouldn’t be surprised, feels like they already have the people to make it and probably have a script pretty close ready to go. Wouldn’t mind Batman making his first appearance in clayface, plus it’ll give another reason for people going to see it
Without any specific expectations on the matter… assuming that this Clayface is the one from CC, we could get a look at Batman and what his supporting cast looks like, in a state that it would have shifted from by the time of BTB&TB (maybe a Robin has changed mantles?)
Honestly it would be amazing for the superman movie to tease him around the end like a newspaper about the bat in Gotham or something small
The Batman Epic Crime Saga is a complete story that seems to incorporate the 12 dramatic steps of screenwriting/storytelling.
WB gave Reeves the time needed to complete the Batman. One complete film in the context of a trilogy. Act I. Killer hit. Next, the Penguin pitch. To thread the needle between keeping continuity and quality writing. In itself, a masterful feat.
The end of the show, the first plot point in the saga. Hard as hell to plan. The Batman and the Penguin, precisely the first third of the Crime Saga.
Leadership changed. Zaslav promised Reeves autonomy. He got it. Gunn agreed to it. Both Reeves and Gunn are quality control specialists first. And love each other's work. Reeves is a Bat-fanatic, so Gunn wants him to produce all the Bat-adjacent stuff. DCU or not.
Zaslav enforced the need for one Batman. Reeves is a proven commodity. Of course all creators involved want Pattison as the Batman in both. He'd be the right age as described in Gunn's initial brief of the DCU. Such a decision would bump the box office.
Many fail to realize how difficult a task it shall be to give all what they want. The grit and the fantastic DCU, merged. The DCU is script-first. #3 on the list, Clayface. Like the Penguin, a seeming off-ball pitch that worked. Further, Pattison would sign a that's a titanic push. As in Hugh Jackman terms of time commitment. Does Pattinson love the character that much?
The DCU evolves.
My bet, Gunn and WB prefer Reeves > Muschetti with Bats. He'll get pushed to another project for timing and comfort sake. The Derry show, for one. Bats in Clayface. If they reached a story-level logic during/after Flanagan's script to merge, Pattison can show up as Bruce Wayne. New contract. The works.
I'd love Pattinson to be the sole guy. If a merger leaves the Epic Crime Saga with its original intended quality. If not, cast the DCU Bats and leave each be.
Personally I don’t think it would undermine Brave and the Bold if he appears in a previous film first, especially if you have him appear in maybe Teen titans or in the Bane and Deathstroke film as well as Clayface; which can set up his solo movie that, if anything, would build up more anticipation for his full film!
I'd like to see Andy Muschiette take on a Smaller Budget DCU Project prior to helming a Bigger Tent pole DCU Movie!
I am also very intrigued with how the bat mobile and the suit and the gadgets gonna be like in the new DCU
Why are you ignoring Airrick???
Marvel didnt use Wolverine and Spiderman automatically because they didnt have the rights..... not having a universe with Batman in the 1st 3-4 movies is idiotic... especially with 3 Green lanterns being active and a HAWKGIRL !!!
I agree there is going to be batman problem in this new universe for sure 🫣
Seeing all the Arkham Origins clips makes me miss the game, it is truly underrated.
I definitely think a Batman appearance is not only likely, but necessary. It doesn’t have to be a lot of course but just a sighting of him, this will get people excited for Brave and the Bold before there’s even a trailer for it, which doubles as good marketing and an exciting addition to the Clayface film, while that still remains a story true to clayface. But yeah to your point Boba, a live action Gotham, a story of Clayface, who is a Batman villain, surely an appearance gets made, and that will excite everyone.
What if when Andy Muchetti referred to having a chance to work on one more project before Batman is really Clayface, not saying that he would direct it, but maybe producing or some other behind the scenes role
honestly, i don't mind batman appearing before his own movie since we already have a few good batman movies in recent years, so we already know who he is and what his deal is. it's different with superman even though i loved cavill, his superman isn't really the superman i grew up watching in the animated series. however, if wonder woman actually appeared before her own movie/series or something that revolves around her, i would actually be kinda sad since we haven't had a good look at her. i hope we get more news about a wonder woman series/movie soon!
As promised, i am here watching every video🔥
incentive to watch the clayface movie that alone is what solidifies it for me personally
Technically since Batman is already established he can just show up in anything, it would only get people more excited and they wouldn’t have to explain it at all.
Black Panther appeared in Civil War before his own movie so I think it makes sense
Although I would prefer to have a Batman movie first I just want him to appear as soon as possible and seeing that his own movie is a long way from now. So yeah, I would love to see him in Clayface.
If Batman did appear in the clay face movie, it will most likely be a silhouette in a lightning storm.
Judging by the Superman trailer with the brighter colors and comic accurate costumes I’m glad they’re not merging in Pattinson…. That’s a very dark and gritty film/universe and I would rather they keep it that way
yes me too
Okay so Hot Take:
So Batman’s a darker character right, and to distinguish him from the more traditional super hero’s in this new continuity, it COULD be cool if he were portrayed as the “villain” in the Clayface movie, here me out. If Clayface is the main character/protagonist of his own movie (besides doing the anti hero/sympathetic villain thing) then having Batman be introduced as The main full blown menacing antagonist of the movie, fits with how his enemies see batman! which is how he likes it! lol, He’s a dark, scary, strong, smart, “evil” foe to them, that doesn’t let them get what they want. We’d see all the results of his training and skill and how much of a great foil he is to a member of his rouges gallery. How dangerous he is to them. Then the Brave and the Bold quickly after could show WHO batman/bruce wayne is. i think that’d be dope.
p.s.- honestly i was half expecting them to drop both batman movies in the same year anyways 🤷🏻 so..im cool either way
I think it would be great and may actually be the reason they added clay face to their slate, to give an excuse to have a little taste of what the Batman is gonna be like in the dcu without giving us to much. More world building. Just to feed the fans sweet tooth.
Personally, I think it would get people excited to see cameos before the big movies.
Great video Boba! Would love to see a video of your picks for casting the DCU Bat family.
If Clayface is in the past, and if Pattinson is a younger Batman….
The time jump theory could work
I’ve been thinking it would be awesome to have movies based on the villains where Batman shows up but is not the focus
Honestly would be such a smart way to introduce Bruce and Batman in this universe. I wonder if they mention a Robin if they are doing that, just to let us know where in the timeline it is
I don’t know why you couldn’t make Batman & the Bat-family a significant part of clay face and even throw Tim Drake in there as well. That would set up the addition of Damien with Brave and the Bold in 28’
Bats popping up in other projects makes sense. I suggest to Gunn that I would not so no to a Nightwing series similar to the Daredevil. Nightwing vs Blockbuster.
No matter what anyone says he already been introduced regardless if u saw his face. Noone comaplained, so it is possible he can show up before his own film.
Considering Batman is already around for quite some time, he should definitely appear, unless they make Clayface's origin BEFORE Batman's career? I wouldn't like that

I feel like we don’t need to see Batman specifically, but Bruce Wayne being a part of the story and having an appearance and role would be great.
Brandon Sklenar is the best choice for The new DCU Batman 💯
Scott Adkins as Batman & William Dafoe as Joker‼️
I would much rather save the thrill of the dcu batman casting for the brave and the bold movie itself, while still having a batman cameo in clayface. In the same vein as creature commandos not showing us much of what the batsuit looks like, clayface could cameo batman without showing us what bruce wayne looks like
It would just be a cameo at the end of a movie 🎬
Or maybe Bruce, Dick, Barb, Jason & Tim will be introduced via cameo, and THEN see them suited up in TB&TB...?
Hi boba thanks for best News about DCU
Thanks for watching :)
They definitely wont say anything until superman comes out. They should definitely cast and Cayface should interact with Bruce Wayne.. Batman fans need something before 27.
it just make sense. You need Batman to sell the Clayface movie even if he is just in it at the end and is seen from Clayface's point of view.
What they should do in the Clayface movie: They should include Batman, but not reveal his identity. This would leave viewers questioning his presence until The Brave and the Bold is released.
i theorize that the 2nd batman movie will have an arkham cityesque twist with clayface acting as someone
I feel like if they don't wanna have the DCU get overshadowed by the Reeves-Verse they need to show Batman early
I think you will see him in end credit scenes in the same way they showed Thanos in the MCU
Aren’t they introducing Lobo in Supergirl? I think they could totally introduce Batman in another movie or at least have his casted and voiced in Creature Commandos
Idk where I seen it but since Flanagan is a big fan of clayface from BTAS I wonder if they’d take the swing and make Batman almost an antagonistic character from Clayface POV but also making him a villain while trying to kill his co stars if they do that version
In one Bad Day: Clayface Batman appears in the end to stop Clayface.
What if clay face shapeshifters into Batman to scare off some bad guy or something or into Bruce Wayne to get away with a crime or something idk that would be quick and cool I think!
Batman should appear before his own movie in DC studios CLAYFACE
