I don’t think Matt Reeves Batman should join the DCU. It makes no sense, especially with his version of Batman being so early in his career and Damien being towards the end of his career.😊
I could honestly see it happening, they could play out the crime saga and truly fleshing that out in a trilogy as a prequel , then go more fantastical in a time skip when merging universes.
The only issue with that is that in the DCU metahumas have existed from the beginning, so I’d be kinda weird that didn’t get mentioned at all until the time skip

Sounds to me Matt Reeves is saying "Hey if I can finish my trilogy they can do whatever they want with Robert Pattinson afterwards" which most likely means James Gunn is gonna look elsewhere
Jesus Boba, is it that far fetched that the DCU Batman story will take place 10 years after the events of The Batman, and in that time Bruce has come across more fantastical things.... It's EXACTLY as in the comics. No difference. Grounded mobsters to Darkseid. THAT'S DC.
Yes in the comics. Not when it's a realistic world much like the real one. There is no room to suddenly thrust aliens and lasers into this Gotham. It literally makes no sense, much like the people who wanted Cavill Superman to meet Bale Batman. Just stop, you children
You know why can't Rob play both versions of Batman. Variants exist in DC Comics. Just used makeup etc to age up Rob and make it clearn in marketing that these are different versions of Batman. MCU already primed average Superhero movie goers with the idea of the multiverse and as long as there not overbearing with it that option could work well. I wouldnt mind another actors take on Bruce either but with the work Rob put into the role I think he should be given some Agency in this decision(as long as Reeve's films arent impacted to heavily)
I agree with you,Boba.I'm not taken anything from Jodie Foster. She's a legend. But that latest season of True Detective was underwhelming. The Golden Globes robbed Kristen Milliotti.
You could say that Foster making something out of a lackluster story is more impressive than Milioti doing a great job with incredible material. But I'm just playing devil's advocate here. I haven't taken the time to check out True Detective, so I really can't say.
It would be financially irresponsible to have two different Batmen in cinema airing in a close timeframe, we cab have one or the another and I'm not gonna pick one being directed by a guy who made the Flash flop

I’m not getting any younger, I want them to do as much Batman as possible. We could have Battison, DCU Batman and Elseworlds takes over the next few years. I think that would be awesome!
When I watched the interview it was pretty clear to me that Matt meant that past his trilogy that he wants to do, he can't control what James Gunn and Peter decide to do with this Batman. Probably by the time Matt decided to do what he wants to do in which case it's no longer his problem. I still think he doesn't intend to connect them. He was just being nice.
It makes no sense. Let Matt Reaves universe breathe. Films and supplementary series’ have been such a refreshing take, and judging the superman traitor… the aesthetics and creative direction doesn’t align at all
Let me clarify this here Matt Reeves never hinted or suggested at a merging of his epic crime-saga Batman universe into the DCU. The Reeveverse Batman is and ALWAYS BE SEPARATE FROM THE DCU and will remain as Elseworlds. In fact Matt Reeves said at the Golden Globes to Josh Horowitz that he wants it (his separate universe) to "play it out and that James and Peter have been really really really good about that". (1/2)
Now the question whether Robert Pattinson will be the DCU Batman is not likely given the fact that Andy Muschietti saying in a recent interview with Radio TU that "As everyone knows, the Batman featured in The Brave and the Bold will belong to the new DC universe. It’s quite obvious that Matt Reeves’ Batman is not part of this new universe" so, the DCU Batman will be played by a new actor
its really clear that he doesn't want to say that he just dont want it. he doesnt have to deny it. from his answers you can see that he would not like to do it.
@@abombnyy13yes we know they want it but we know reeves doesn’t, furthermore we know Gunn is committed to allowing his creators freedom to tell else world stories
@@mr.milkman3893 Nah after this and everything it should be pretty clear they are working behind the scenes and having a lot of talks if they can make this work
I think Reeves more than anything is just being very diplomatic here. He’s always struck me as someone who likes talking about things and possibilities and what if’s, to the point where you wonder if he’s actually interested in something or he just likes entertaining the idea and keeping things open. However, he has said “no” to some of these topics in the past, so like boba says, you do wonder why he didn’t say that again. It’s like he’s been involved in more discussions where he knows there’s a bit more pressure to maybe try and do something with his Batman at some point, and he has to be open to that. Whether that’s based on Supermans success or whatever. Personally I really don’t want it to happen. Keep Battinson separate. Reeve’s world and his vision gains nothing by diluting it with other superheroes. It doesn’t make sense to me why they would want to do it, other than money, which would be a terrible reason from a creative point of view. The “epic crime saga” description tells me that Reeves has no interest in dealing with a wider DCU and he has brought that up a few times recently. I think he’s focused on his universe and that’s a good thing. What happens in the background I don’t know, but at least we have someone like Reeves who we know has a specific style for his Batman which is very grounded, and surely he wouldn’t easily concede that to suddenly being a part of a fantastical universe.
He said sure I’ll let Him join the DCU…”when I’m done telling my story” you know what that means? Six to eight years from now. That means it’s not happening until reeves concludes his arc and you really think Gunn would wait that out? I doubt it
I’m just relieved that they are still going to go ahead and film THE BATMAN 2 this year because that means Greig Fraser will be part of the team. Because I like to quit while I’m ahead, in my hearts of hearts I would love to see LeFranc and her team tackle another character of the Rogues Gallery in a completely different genre instead of a second season for The Peguin. Branching out the world building; to me that’s what a Saga should do.
I don’t get why everyone is pushing that narrative of fantastical vs grounded Batman has always been able to do both things he investigates both fantastical and grounded villains. Y’all gotta acknowledge that
Reeves' universe does not emphasize a fantastical side; it's simply an earlier interpretation of Batman with a grounded villain. If Reeves joined he'd obviously make Batman more fantastical and get with the program.
@ and why can’t he have movies that are fantastical . And the next be grounded or have both grounded and fantastical moments inside the same film like the character was meant to be
@@SosaDBZhe has said he doesnt want that. And how would the Batman be in the dcu with damian wayne if he hasn’t even met dick grayson? There are three robins before Damian.
@@SosaDBZthis whole “ he’s too grounded to be in the dcu”….. you don’t know jack shit about Batman if you think that. Go back and watch mask of the phantasm or read Batman year one and come and back and tell me that Batman can’t be fantastical and grounded simultaneously.
I think Zaslav is the one pushing for Pattinson in the DCU. Dorks like Reeves and Gunn know he won't fit and what creator would want to use somebody elses work while crafting their own. It's like in football when a team hires a new General Manager. The new GM always picks his own quarterback and head coach. The only time they don't is when the owner won't let them. It makes sense. Zaslav sees in one hand, a universe that has to succeed, in the other hand he has a key component that is already proven. Smart money from business perspective is to bring him over. My feeling is that Gunn, Reeves and Safron are trying hard to not let that be the case. The constant chatter about this is annoying as hell though and I wish Gunn would at least leak what they are looking for in the new Batman so we don't have to hear about it anymore...And no matter what happens, I think it's insane to have the DCU going 5+ years without a Batman or any proper Batman related projects. It will literally be big budget Arrowverse where all these obscure characters and a couple Kryptonians are flying around but Batman is embargoed..that's kind of a mess and it annoys the fans.
Gonna be honest, didn’t think they would merge until two things changed my mind. The first thing was them delaying Batman until 2027 and the cherry on top was the second thing, Reeves’s recent statement. Matt Reeves has always been intentional with his words and if he doesn’t want to or isn’t going to merge the two he would just say that. So, idk if they have decided already but I do think they are having serious conversations on the reg to see if it will happen.
@EvilMonstrous17 but financially two batman is just worst and it will confuse the normal fans as well they will make an idea to merge Pattinson Batman if Snyder bots will not interfere
The only 1s gonna be confused between the 2 are the Snydercultists... That's what the want people to believe anyway. Whereas we got flash with batfleck after reeves batman.. any1 confused?!
Pattinson is playing 8 years younger in reeves movies. If Gunn wanted he could have the “seasoned fantastical” batman that can meet Superman just be an older battinson and keep reeves projects untouched by setting it in the past
I think most of us can see it's not gonna happen. But here's the thing, this question is gonna keep the subject of the DCU vs the Reeves-verse on minds of the fanbase for a long time. And the best part of that is that it's a fun conversation, as opposed to the conversation about the DCU vs the DCEU, which everyone is just tired of, no matter what side they've taken. This debate is about the future of the DCU, which is what we should all be focusing on. And any position anyone might have about it is a fun one. So I'm happy to see this debate go on, and see people speculate how it could work, or what would be better.
There's no reason to be frustrated. As Boba points out, they've made their decision. Reeves' ambiguity in this interview isn't real. But it creates mystery and suspense, making fans wonder what the future holds. That generates engagement. Hey, we're talking about it, aren't we? Gunn is really good at this social engagement aspect of the marketing machine, and this seems like a part of it. If we knew everything for sure, there's no conversation. But now, with one brief interview, it's back on everyone's minds. That's marketing that money can't buy.
@rottensquid No, my frustration and especially with Boba's is that no matter how many times it was said that Reeves' universe is separate from the DCU, so many people want to debunk it and say it's going to be integrated.
@tonymata8070 would you agree that Reeves could have politely clarified previous quotes in order to put the issue to bed? As someone who doesn't want the universes to merge, I find it odd that he essentially made it worse lol
Now I’ll be honest I do want him to direct a DCU justice league, but that would be him directing that as opposed to them trying to fit a square peg into a round hole
Once Clayface begins production in the next few months, since Matt Reeves will be producing that DCU movie, I think we'll have a definitive answer by that time as to whether Pattinson will be the DCU's Batman or not.
Reeves' Gotham does not leave the door open for the supernatural. And I'm glad it doesn't. Leave that elseworld alone. Stop being children that need it to be mandatory no matter other fans feelings, smashing your toys together no matter what type of mentality, even when it doesn't make sense.
The only reason why I would like Pattinson in DCU is to see a young Batman paired with a young Superman growing through the universe together. A dark sort of confused Batman meeting a beacon of light like Superman would be really cool to see. Otherwise let James Gunn cook
I dont want the merger because, much as I love Battinson as its own thing, he AINT the Batman I want in the DCU. I want the Batman in the DCU to be a total badass, who you genuinely believe could take down the Justice League if he was forced to. A Batman who has the best technology imaginable, a huge Batcave with memorabilia of past battles, a full Bat-Family. A Batman that seems like he could wipe the floor with Battinson on any given Sunday.
I think Matt was just trying to be as polite as possible with his answers, as James and Peter at the end of the day are the ones in charge of DC. He knows in his mind that he wants to keep them separate and that’s the plan, but since we know James Gunn would like Robert’s batman as the main DCU batman, Matt doesn’t want to outright say it with disregard to the possible still ongoing discussions, just out of respect.
Matt Reeves doesn’t want to join. He doesn’t wanna join a universe. He wants to create his own. That was the agreement they need to stick to that agreement.
I think Reeves is being diplomatic in his response. I really do. He recently did a podcast (I believe) where he seemed to imply his vision will continue, and his GG statement about telling the story he wants to tell will include that third film. DCU won't wait for that movie and second bridging series for Batman to eventually appear. If it happens, it happens, but I really hope it doesn't. Even with a massive time jump, I just don't see it being worth it.
Even I used to be a big supporter of pattinson in dcu once a time. But after episode 6 of creature commandos it’s just impossible. No way Pattinson is in dcu
He apparently is going through something which he acknowledge doing that interview. He is trying to go about it in a way by saying no lightly instead of a hard no because he don’t wanna ruffle feathers because he’s going through stuff.
And I don’t know exactly what the reason for the delay of part 2 is, as I’m not privy to that information…but out of respect I’m sure it’s something personal, probably to Matt or someone close to him, that they are going through. People should try to respect the man and his personal life because I’m sure that the process of making Batman 2 is not all the man has going on in his life…as hard as that may be for some people to believe. For those who “be trippin”, have a little respect please. We all are excited to see this movie, though the Earth will continue to rotate in the meantime. People are dealing with their own shit. Love y’all!
Personally I don't think that integration of Pattinson's Batman is 100% a bad idea. It's not that hard to imagine how his Batman could work in the context of the DCU (e.g. we could just say that the events of the first two Batman movies happened years ago, and Gotham has changed since then), but it is not even the main problem. The main problem is that DCU hasn't even properly started yet, and without the success of the Superman movie there will be no DCU. I suppose this is the main reason why Gunn and Reeves keep things really vague about the future of Batman in DCU.
30:38 maybe it’s standard equipment when working at Arkham, with the penguins use of Arkham in the series maybe that means we’re gonna explore that more in part 2 and we’ll see krane as the main villain, which would make sense thematically from what was set up in the Batman and the penguin
People need to stop insisting on Battinson joining the dcu. Not only is a bad idea because he’s not a dcu kind of Batman, but if Matt reeves is gonna take 5 years between movies it’s good to have another Batman in the meantime.
I'm very against putting Pattinson in the dcu. In fact, I think it's simply a good idea to have multiple Batman incarnations in cinemas anyways, as long as they're different enough. It's like with Godzilla, Batman can be presented in very distinctly separate ways while still having the essence of Batman. What doesn't make sense to me is why Hollywood is still stuck on the whole "we need a connected universe for everything!! and if it isn't within the same universe, it should be part of the same multiverse!!" Like please, just stop. We're sick of it.
My biggest pet peeve about all this batman talk is the people saying "we can't have two batman's it would be too confusing!" When I'm sure most of them were saying we should give Andrew Garfield another Spiderman movie in the Sony verse at the same time as tom Hollands Spiderman
No, people who favor the previous spider-men likely don’t care for Tom Holland’s version. I personally want a Toby spider-man 4 rather than Tom’s or a reboot with a new actor.
It was an absolute disgrace that Milioti did not win. Jodie foster did a really good job. But her role, whehter acted or written, was so one dimensional compared to the utter omnilayered masterclass of Sofia Gigante on every level. Great for Colin, travesty that Cristin didn't win. Ok now i can continue the video.
I think Reeves was being political and polite with his comment about the merge. He could have said this or that. But I think his response was implying, “hey, I have a vision, I’d love to finish my story, but at the end of the day. I’m working for these guys (Gunn and Safran), if they want later down the road and want Rob, it’s ultimately their decision. I have to respect that. But as of now, they are respecting me and my journey.” - I clearly believe they will stay and remain separate. It doesn’t make sense world building wise. Nothing in Reeves Batman has told us he can handle DCU’s Clayface, Dr. Phosphorus, Frankenstein, etc. he barely handled tweedle Dee and Dum at the front door of the Iceberg.hahah
I feel like Batman Part II will determine whether they can integrate Pattinson or not and we will get the casting of the DCU Batman only after Batman Part II releases
Matt reeves is just keeping the Batman and the dcu in the headlines, knowing everyone is gonna keep talking about it, I don’t think they will connect them , I hope not lol the Batman was awesome
As a massive True Detective stan, couldn't agree more Boba! Robbed. Also... agree about these comments, the problem is, why didn't he just say "no, he won't be the DCU Batman, but can't wait to see what Gunn has in store." I've said it before and I'll say it again, I can see this becoming a reality!
Surley they wouldnt do a season 2 of ThePenguin if they were going to merge Rob into the DCU What i got from the interview was Matt could finish his trilogy the way he wants to. Then after that, if James wants to use Rob for his DCU then thats up to him. Itll be up to James whether or not he uses Matts Universe as his Batmans history as to say.
I think they wanna keep the October release date for the Batman part 2 because of awards potential. The first movie didn’t get as many cause it came out earlier in the year (as we are seeing with Dune part 2) even tho it deserved it. That’s just a theory though
I personally don’t want them together, really want the DCU’s Batman to finally go agaisnt super villains who are larger than life and have powers or verging on the unbelievable side like mr freeze and his freezegun to bane and his venom. We haven’t had that kind of Batman ever. Can’t believe I’m about to say this but Batman and robin was probably the closet we have come 😭😭
To me it seems like reeves is saying that one way or another he already has the outline of 2-3 movies in his head and he plans on seeing that story through. Unless gunn chooses to work around that, I think reeves is just saying he doesn't know what could happen after his vision is seen through.
Well, it could be done with good writing integrating the batman into the dcu with superman the end of the batman movie he says he has to become a symbol of hope ... he might change his uniform and start to wear trunks lol, but we'll jave to wait and see .... who should be the new batman tho??
Do we know for sure whether Matt Reeves read this question as "Will Robert Pattinson's batman join the DCU" or as "Could Robert Pattinson join the DCU as the DCU batman". I agree with Boba, that having the character cross over makes no sense at all - he's in the wrong kind of universe and at the wrong phase of his career. But could Robert Patinson the actor play both separate versions of batman? In theory, sure. He's 38, so not so young that he couldn't play an older batman. Gunn did say it would be a new actor, but it being a completely separate character has got to be the much more important aspect. Do I think Gunn will do it? No, I don't personally. But could Matt Reeves know for certain he won't? I don't think any of us can.
*I 💯 % agree with you, **#BobaTalks**!* *Matt Reeve's Batman film universe and James Gunn's DCU reboot film franchise should remain separate entities!* *As for the Julian Rush character, maybe he 's NOT Dr.Jonathon Crane, aka The Scarecrow , but rather he is a student and/or ally / zealot of the villain Dr.Jonathon Crane, aka The Scarecrow!* 😮 *It makes sense if you think about it considering Dr.Crane was a professor at a high school or university in the DC comics!* 🤔 *Let me know your thoughts on that, guys and gals!* 😉🤗
Totally agree Boba. I watched True Dectective with my wife. Jodie Foster was good. The series was just ok. But Cristin milioti was a huge surprise and phenomenal. It seems it was the old guard award!
How is The Batman supposed to “push to the edge of fantastical but not go full fantastical” but add in characters like Superman It feels like they’ve gotten lazy on shooting Batman 2 and decided it would be easier to go into the dcu
I don’t want Robert’s Batman to be the DCU Batman not just because I don’t think he’d suit the mystical fantastical elements of the DCU but because I actually want else worlds movies, we had superman showing up in tv shows while the DCEU was ongoing and the flash nobody was confused, we had a joker movie while Jared Leto was still playing the joker and nobody was confused so saying it’ll confuse people isn’t true at all.
It's all vague answers just for marketing, gets more people talking about it and when the do reveal the new actor playing DCU's Batman, it'll be a bigger thing since there's all this mystery going on now. It comes down to marketing, DC is a business at the end of the day
Been waiting for this video! I was a bit gobsmacked by this interview with Reeves, and for the first time, I’m actually starting to wonder if Pattinson really is going to the DCU. It still seems entirely nonsensical to me, and I hope it won’t happen, because I love the Reevesverse so much. BUT…I feel like Matt’s words are really telling, especially when he says this bit: “...it WAS really kind of a story that I WANTED to tell” and “which is the thrust of what I WANTED to do”. To me, the use of past tense of “was” and “wanted” almost indicates that Matt thinks his plans, as he initially imagined them, are no longer going forward, that they are in the past. The psychological road map that Pattinson talked about, the trilogy that Matt envisioned, these are the things that aren't going forward as originally imagined. This is kind of like people who secretly murder their spouses but report them missing to the police. When the police come to interview them about the supposedly “missing” spouse, the killers talk about their spouses in the past tense because they know that they are dead, whereas if they truly thought and hoped the spouses were alive but just missing, they would refer to them in the present tense. Their unconscious use of past tense inadvertently betrays what they already know is true. Of course, that doesn’t mean that Part II isn’t happening. Of course it is, because he says so in the next sentence. But apart from that, as for anything beyond, Matt doesn’t know, and maybe other opportunities have presented themselves in the meantime. Man, I hope not, though…
About the villain...its has to be a version of hush, the only concrete information that comes from reeves we have is "the seeds are on the first film",the only villain teased besides the joker is hush...so it has to be him...he is also a villain we have never seen on the big screen,so yeah he is suprising
Seem to me that Reeves IS money hungry .hé ready to do a penguin Season 2 even if he had to change the script for his movie ...in consequence... He's that type of guy
I been jump off the matt reeves train he is mid director who is over paid & unfortunately warner bros is stuck with him james gunn is just being nice at this point in my opinion #DCU
I prefer them sperately I think sometimes things don't need to be connected and should just stand alone. Its like getting Andrew Spider-Man to be the main MCU Peter.
I could be wrong, as if he’s brought it up in an interview I’m unaware, but I kind of doubt Robert Pattinson would want to be a part of the DCU. If all goes to plan it’s a commitment of 10+ years. I’m not saying the DCU would end up like the MCU, but these kind of superhero cinematic universes do have a reputation amongst actors, and Pattinson has spent the better part of a decade trying to escape the Twilight franchise. He just doesn’t seem like the type to be interested.
I’ve just had a terrible premonition. Whether or not the Batman gets integrated into the DCU won’t matter. The people that are against the outcome that actually happens will end up review-bombing Part Two. I really hope they don’t but now I can’t shake this feeling.
I have zero interest in seeing Pattinson in the DCU. After seeing Clayface nearly kill Flag in creature commandos in 2 minutes, it makes zero sense for Reeves to merge his world with what Gunn is doing.

@@link8689Dude, James Gunn has literally said Batman's one of his fav superheroes of all time. It's in good hands.
THAT'S DC.

Yeah it is just like the comics.
Yes in the comics. Not when it's a realistic world much like the real one. There is no room to suddenly thrust aliens and lasers into this Gotham. It literally makes no sense, much like the people who wanted Cavill Superman to meet Bale Batman. Just stop, you children
They saw them Superman and The Batman edits and started pondering
True they are fire edits.
Reeves likes Superman. Bet on it. They are wondering now.
Absolute crap edits lol 😂
I'm calling it now: Superman is going to BOMB
I agree with you,Boba.I'm not taken anything from Jodie Foster. She's a legend. But that latest season of True Detective was underwhelming. The Golden Globes robbed Kristen Milliotti.
You could say that Foster making something out of a lackluster story is more impressive than Milioti doing a great job with incredible material. But I'm just playing devil's advocate here. I haven't taken the time to check out True Detective, so I really can't say.

If they merge then I'll completely give up on DC.

Reeves was asked a what if question and he responded we will have to see where that goes (if that happens).
It makes no sense. Let Matt Reaves universe breathe. Films and supplementary series’ have been such a refreshing take, and judging the superman traitor… the aesthetics and creative direction doesn’t align at all
It is pretty weird how Matt did a 180 from a few months ago
Where he went from yea I’m 100% separate to “well maybe, we’ll see what the future holds “
matt being forced to merge, james gunn delays batman movies.
Yeah I thought people weren’t allowed to change their minds about things they created? 🤔
@@link8689how do you know this?? Source?

He said sure I’ll let
Him join the DCU…”when I’m done telling my story” you know what that means?
@ he has contacts that record videos . He’s in year 2 I don’t expect the whole bat arsenal in a year 2 Batman
At this point George Clooney got it
I think Zaslav is the one pushing for Pattinson in the DCU.
I just want The Batman trilogy and anything else in the Reeves verse to come out I love everything Matt Reeves is doing The Batman was so amazing.
I honestly wouldn’t mind. we already got an ultra realistic Batman with The Dark Knight
Like why do you want that again😂
Exactly 💯 % Correct
Gonna be honest, didn’t think they would merge until two things changed my mind. The first thing was them delaying Batman until 2027 and the cherry on top was the second thing, Reeves’s recent statement. Matt Reeves has always been intentional with his words and if he doesn’t want to or isn’t going to merge the two he would just say that. So, idk if they have decided already but I do think they are having serious conversations on the reg to see if it will happen.
Thank you thank you for an incredible video!! No one does it better than you, man 👏🏻🍻

So I'm happy to see this debate go on, and see people speculate how it could work, or what would be better.
i hope we never get battinson in the DCU id rather have Alan Ritchson tbh for the brave and the bold
I honestly share your frustration on the matter, Boba.
@@rottensquid so u think its just a marketing tactic 💀
@@rottensquid copium is real with you lmao.
@aymaanrashid2033 you are correct
But didn't they show a cartoon cameo of the DCU Batman, and he looked beefy mucley like Batfleck 🤔 🤔
Maybe Julian Rush creates the tech the scarecrow ends up using
He apparently is going through something which he acknowledge doing that interview. He is trying to go about it in a way by saying no lightly instead of a hard no because he don’t wanna ruffle feathers because he’s going through stuff.
30:30 I like to think that John Crane was one of Julian’s former patients in Arkham Asylum and he took Cranes mask and glove as mementos
I pray that God they don’t merge universes. I want a fantastic Batman
You can get it Batman fights killer croc and penguin they were never meant to be separated into two worlds
Robert can do that. I don't see why that's impossible.
James gunn please Give us Dave Bautista Bane ! We already have the mysterious green adrenaline in the Batman
Reeves literally said "idk"
Thankyou for this video!
What doesn't make sense to me is why Hollywood is still stuck on the whole "we need a connected universe for everything!! and if it isn't within the same universe, it should be part of the same multiverse!!"
Like please, just stop.
@@lawrencewhite13 yeah, I agree with this. I don't like the new spiderman and want them to make movies with the older spider-man

Ok now i can continue the video.
Agreed.Golden Globes really robbed Cristin in this instance. And the thing is we don't when she will get this chance again.
And we're not odd for thinking this. This is Hollywood. Reeves grounded Planet of the Apes with one hell of a war story.
Surley they wouldnt do a season 2 of ThePenguin if they were going to merge Rob into the DCU
What i got from the interview was Matt could finish his trilogy the way he wants to.
I don't want the Batman to merge with the DCU but if it did It wouldn't be the end of the world. I'd be really bummed about it but I'd get over it
It really depends if it's successful or not 🤔

I really hope they recast Batman just leave the worlds separate
I’d actually be pretty disappointed if the reeves versus joins the DCU
I think both Gunn and Reeves are great writer directors, but it would take all of their creativity to merge Pattinson/Reeves Batman into the DCU.
It is such a missed opportunity on theo rossi not being publicly casted as scarecrow
How is The Batman supposed to “push to the edge of fantastical but not go full fantastical” but add in characters like Superman
It feels like they’ve gotten lazy on shooting Batman 2 and decided it would be easier to go into the dcu
They should keep it seperate and MR and JG should say so in a very blunt and clear joint statement. Then never entertain it again!
If Pattinson was to be the DCU Batman how would they do Damian Wayne as robin already
When you said Matt Reeves said the villain would be "really cool" the tin foil hat conspiracy theories in me instantly went cool=freeze
BUT…I feel like Matt’s words are really telling, especially when he says this bit:
“...it WAS really kind of a story that I WANTED to tell” and “which is the thrust of what I WANTED to do”.
If they pull this merge off it can be incredible. Easier said than done though.
About the villain...its has to be a version of hush, the only concrete information that comes from reeves we have is "the seeds are on the first film",the only villain teased besides the joker is hush...so it has to be him...he is also a villain we have never seen on the big screen,so yeah he is suprising
Or Court of Owls will be the big bad
I couldnt imagine Krypto vs the penguin ..
How u pull so much from so little is amazing just making it up as u go
Seem to me that Reeves IS money hungry .hé ready to do a penguin Season 2 even if he had to change the script for his movie ...in consequence... He's that type of guy
I been jump off the matt reeves train he is mid director who is over paid & unfortunately warner bros is stuck with him james gunn is just being nice at this point in my opinion #DCU
I don't think it's a good idea to integrate Pattinson Batman in DCU ....
I really hope they don’t but now I can’t shake this feeling.
dark but possible
My only issue with it filming in the summer is how is it gonna take place in the winter time…. I wanna see the batmobile in the snow, not cgi snow. 😞
I have zero interest in seeing Pattinson in the DCU. After seeing Clayface nearly kill Flag in creature commandos in 2 minutes, it makes zero sense for Reeves to merge his world with what Gunn is doing.
