I'm assuming Supreme Ruler is Ace, Tracer/Jackpot's minibot? That cam lifter is virtually identical and it's Jeff Waters driving. It'd be cool to see what a heavyweight sportsman version of this design could do. Anyway, Supreme Ruler easily crushed the control points (even stood Chainsaw Kitty on its head a few times) and got most of the aggression points by staying on top of its opponent. Chainsaw Kitty does have an edge in damage after destroying the flamebot, but even if it got all five points that still wouldn't be enough when Supreme Ruler dominated the other categories.
Supreme ruler easy,DOMINANT control, definitely was aggressive,Kitty was also fairly aggressive and it broke the minibot, but the level of control by ruler just trumps that because it was so dominant, they made the right call
it's so interesting that people say CSK is "flopping around" with "no control" meanwhile she rarely gets top-centered longer than two seconds by a bot whose primary means of combat are doing exactly that. doing the exact thing necessary to avoid that mechanism followed up with timely recoveries and strategic hits. also zero damage vs a minibot destruction plus chassis damage. the control bot may have had control *over itself* but i don't think it exemplified a level of control over the opponent that beats out it's chaotic-by-nature opponents control strategy for the fight. it's so easy to just "vibes" this out for supreme ruler by watching the end of the fight but i don't think that represents a complete perspective on the fight, certainly not a score based analysis of the fight.
i feel like if you come into this fight not ever seeing how either of these bots function in other fights, i can see how you might have that misconception about their performance. but if you have seen these bots at their peak, you understand what you're watching so much better.
@@regular-dogRuler took very little damage. Nothing more than cosmetic damage to the front armor of the robot. If you follow the judging metric, it isn't "well, robot A did a bit of damage and none for B, so A gets all the points.", So even with the minibot it isn't as if chainsaw kitty gets all the damage points. (You do have to be careful reading the minibot rules because it IS different if both teams have a minibot vs just one). As far as control, escaping from the grabs doesn't diminish the fact that ruler is causing an escape to be required so frequently. Chainsaw kitty bouncing around to escape isn't a negative on control, but it having to do so every 5 seconds is.
Ruler itself took no damage, but the minibot got disabled and therefore has moved up two damage levels, making it an easy 4-2 on damage for Chainsaw Kitty. As for control - if your robot is not showing great control and is more or less spending a good portion bouncing around, then your opponent is getting more control points for that.
I think Supreme Ruler wins this for control and aggression, but I think this fight is evidence that we should have clear rules about interfering with unsticks. In boxing, for example, once you drop your opponent you have to return to your corner - you're not allowed to keep hitting them while they're down. I'd be in favor of a similar "back off once the unstick is called, and don't impede the housebot" rule
Technically speaking, harassing the house bot *is allowed*, but one thing I hope to see in future is warnings for interfering with the house robot for the role it has to do. By all means, go for the house robot outside of such a circumstance but I don't think it's fair to stop the house robot from fulfilling a role it is built for.
Stopping the house robot from performing the unstick is excellent strategy and a deserved reward for bringing an unusual weapon which is capable of lifting something so heavy. If you can can get your opponent well stuck enough for them to be counted out AND stop a house robot many times your size from doing its job to unstick them, you've earned that KO.
If they could do anything to it. But Flo the housebot is a 300 pound brick of steel and Supreme ruler is at most 15lb rod of TPU. If you can manage to stop that thing in its tracks that's just points.
Supreme Ruler got constant control and aggression, and people may be saying that Chainsaw Kitty flopped out of almost every pin, but Chainsaw Kitty did no damage or control on her end and aggression is split
supreme ruler had an entire minibot rendered 100% dysfunctional along with chassis damage from hits. chainsaw kitty took no damage. chainsaw kitty trivialized nearly every attempt to high center it with deliberate torque flips.
@@regular-dog What chassis damage? There's no damage I'm seeing that is affecting the structure of the robot. Also I don't think those 'torque flips' are 'deliberate'.
Supreme Ruler had the control and aggression but crucially Chainsaw Kitty had the damage with taking out the the mini bot. It's close but i think Supreme Ruler won.
They were equally aggressive, CK just spends a lot of time self-righting, during which SR can drive at it. If SR were actually capable of doing anything to CK without its mini-bot, then the fight would be clear, but after CK took out the minibot SR's "control" amounted to nothing and actually allowed CK to get easy hits in.
Fairly easy: Most of the control was done by Supreme Ruler, and had a bit more aggression, while Chainsaw Kitty scored more on damage, but only by a point or two.

@@regular-dogread the responses. Some is more than zero but doesn't get you a sweep in terms of points.
Control bots are rarely fun. Once they lose the flame thrower the fight is over in my book.
I'm curious how those things stay attached
it is ways more durable than it looks
Aggression 4-1 SR Control 6-0 SR Damage 5-1 CK

Lets go chainsaw kitty🎉
I think the lack of control and stability should go against Chainsaw Kitty.
I'd call that a fucking benefit. A robot made to bounce everywhere and destroy everything it touches sounds like a winner. This isn't ballet
Why would it? And despite the difficult control, the driver showed some real skills
Supreme Ruler wins but now I never want to watch that boring bot again. So maybe a net loss...
Supreme Ruler wins for me. Lot of control on top of Chainsaw Kitty flopping everywhere
Exactly half the time it was flopping all over the place and got stuck on its head once or twice
Lol you're talking as if CK bouncing is somehow a mistake and not an expected outcome of the design
