      He lives a stress free life and is loved daily by his caretakers. He also plays with his tiger friends. Yes his life is limited to a degree. But so is every animal in every zoo. Heck, even wild animals have limits and boundaries. A turtle in a pond. A bear in the woods. That being said, he would not even survive in the wild.

      I guess the natural habitat of a wild cat must be bigger than the playground. Wild animals belong to the jungle. And mating tigers with lions in an artificial setup and producing X,Y,Z etc variations is anyway distasteful.

  • @TimberManiac8791
    @TimberManiac8791 Рік тому +79

    Lions and tigers don’t overlap in the wild , except in one location - India’s Gir Forest. Until now, no ligers have been found there. Typically they don’t cross the species line, and are not interested in each other. It’s been argued that crossbreeding will only occur in unique circumstances, such as when stuck in captivity and there are no other mates available of the same species. so we could let the males free in the Gir forest but then would create a problem for the pure lion species. As the Liger is considered one of the biggest cats on the planet, the Tiger mother usually requires a C-section in order to properly deliver the Liger cub as it will be larger than a normal Tiger cub. turn a male lose and it ends up breeding the lionesses instead of a lion she would die during birth and no lions would be born . some of you people are so stupid , you only see what you want and never look at the bigger picture to why these massive cats are kept by zoo's and individual licensed specialists and not set free in the wild. you can really see the decline in human intelligence in some of the comments on here.

    I read the posted comment and you are right, you cannot release a hybrid species that was born in captivity into nature, that is logical, I once saw a documentary where in Africa lions born in captivity were released but in stages, that is, in increasingly larger enclosures, until total release, but it takes a lot of time and is very expensive, so I'm wondering if these cats could be kept in larger spaces...?? I keep in mind that this will require more investment and money of course, greetings

      The enclosure used in this video was his while a cub to 3 years old. At the time of this video he was being built a bigger enclosure/bedroom. But he has always had a play yard. But they have less threats from the wild. For an example I've seen some people comment in a video about cheetahs, *just let them live in the wild* . Tf Cheetahs are endangered now. Bigger predators like lions, tigers and crocs specifically target this lil cutie. Coz he's so damb small when we compare him with those big boys. So he's safe among people. That means people are dumb. So don't care about everything they say.
